Episode 46

*I know a lot of you guys had been asking about if Fang and Lucifer ever mated and marked Midnight like Loki did in the first book. They did, but I didn’t want to just throw them in at the end, so I decided to add them to this book as memories so they are represented but in a flowing manner, I wanted for my storyline.*

Fang’s POV

I felt Melody calling to me, so I opened my mind and let her and Artemis in. I noticed that it was just the three of us inside the void. This was a rarity, usually Melody would speak to all three of us at once. ‘What is wrong my little princess?’ I asked her. ‘Dad what is this Alpha bond that Riley told me about?’ she asked in a small voice. ‘Oh, is that all? It is nothing to be shy about little princess. It is similar to the mate bonding process that the human side does, but it would be between the wolves instead.’ I told her. At first she looked confused, but then she seemed to realize what I meant.

‘Oh, but how would that work with a vampire and werebear?’ Melody asked. I thought for a moment. ‘I am not 100% sure, but I think the mating part would only need to be done with Remus… Logan and Lance would just have to mark Artemis under the full moon along with Remus. That would be my guess.’ I told her honestly. This is the first time I have heard of other races being mates. ‘Maybe if you connect them with your gift it will help.’ I added. Melody nodded. ‘So what is this alpha bond supposed to do?’ she asked.

‘The alpha bond allows us as wolves to be able to replace our mate should they ever go missing. It makes the mate bond ten times stronger.’ I said. ‘Then why didn’t you do that when mama was kidnapped?’ Melody asked. ‘Because the alpha bond was not complete when she was taken. Only Loki had completed it, but as you know that for multiples…’ ‘For the bond to fully work, all three of you had to mark mama.’ Artemis finished. I nodded. ‘And we couldn’t use the amulets that your mother gave Wilson and Maria because those allowed them to just talk to your mother’s wolf side, and Midnight had to remain dormant inside your mother to protect you and your brothers. That is when we found you she was pregnant with you three.’ ‘So you had to use the b***d bond between mama and Uncle Alex to replace her.’ Melody asked.

I nodded. ‘Yes and then we had to wait until you pups were born before we could complete the alpha bond, because your mother could not shift while pregnant. Shifting would have either harmed you three or killed you by causing a miscarrage.’ I may have had to wait a while along with Lucifer, but I still remember that day like it was yesterday.

~Flashback~

A few weeks after the harvest festival, our pups were here and doing well. Hero and Zero said that they would pup sit while Leo and I had a nice day with Jess, so long as we returned the favor sometime in the future.

Leo and I got to the garden first and shifted. I felt like I was waiting forever. It had been a few months since I saw Midnight’s black silky fur and her hypnotising different colored eyes. Lucifer and I convinced our humans that as soon as Jess could shift we shouldn’t waste anymore time to complete the alpha bond with her. That way we could replace her no matter how far they took her.

Jess came out in her normal shorts and sports bra. Her hair blowing in the wind freely. From a human’s perspective, you never would have known that just a few weeks ago she gave birth to triplets. She stripped and shifted. Taking off running while I chased her. She was fast, but I was slightly faster. I forced her towards the river and once we got there, I tackled her into the water. Rolling and wrestling in the water was a first time for me, but Midnight loved being around the water. We swam and wrestled then went to the bank of the river to shake and dry off. I nuzzled her and licked her muzzle. She knew what I wanted. She always knew what me or my brothers wanted when we had her alone.

Midnight came over to me and bit down on my neck marking me. I growled and zipped behind her and mounted her from behind. Her whimpers of delight we music to us as her alphas. As I met my release I bit down on her neck, completing our bond. I as an alpha never felt more complete than knowing that my luna was mine in every way, now she just needed to complete the bond with Lucifer.

~End of Flashback~

I was pulled from my memory as Melody asked another question. ‘So Artemis would have to mark them like how I marked their human sides?’ I nodded. ‘Yes, it is more instinctual so it is hard to explain. Just under the light of the full moon trust Artemis and your mates’ other sides to know what to do when the time is right.’ I told her. Melody nodded. ‘Ok, thanks dad.’ Melody said and waved as she was about to break the connection. ‘Ask Lucifer about a place you four can go. He and Zero always come up with pretty good date sites.’ I told her before she left the void completely. ‘Ok, thanks dad, I will do that tomorrow.’ She said, then she and Artemis were gone.
