Episode 48

The following morning…

Lucifer’s POV

I am awakened by the tugging of someone trying to enter my mind. I groggily open my mind to the connection. I turn and see Melody and Artemis. ‘Ah, good morning my sweet girls.’ I perked up and said. ‘Morning daddy. Sorry to wake you up so early, but I have morning training and I didn’t want to forget.’ Melody said. I nuzzled her and licked her cheek. ‘It is alright. What can I help you with, sweetheart?’ I asked. ‘Well I want to take my mates somewhere nice tomorrow night for the alpha bonding, but I am not sure where to go.’ Melody says. ‘Somewhere that would be in the light of the full moon but also where not many people go.’ Artemis added. I thought for a moment about it. I could send them to the same meadow that Zero had Sabrina enchant for Jess.

~Flashback~

‘Are you sure this is going to work?’ I asked my human. Jess was finally allowed to shift and Fang already got his turn in finishing the alpha bond with our luna. Zero and I actually collaborated and made plans on how to surprise our luna. ‘Don’t worry dude. Sabrina told me to meet her at the hilltop just before lunch.’ Zero replied. ‘But there is nothing special about the hilltop. It barely has any grass growing up there.’ I complained. I wanted it to be special for us to finish the alpha bond. ‘Let us just see what she has done.’ Zero said and then blocked me out.

I waited and waited. Finally I felt Zero start to reach out for me, so I connected with him. ‘Hey dude, take a look at what Sabrina and Shianna did to the hilltop.’ Zero said. He sounded excited. I switched with him and saw the perfect view. The hilltop was covered in lush green grass and blue and purple roses blooming all over the place. “This place will never freeze or wither.” Shianna said from my left. “We thought these roses would be perfect, the blue rose means ‘true love’ and the purple ones mean ‘love at first sight.’ It seemed to fit you guys perfectly.” Sabrina said with a smile.

I smiled too. “It is perfect.” I said, though as it came out of Zero’s mouth, my voice was deeper than his. “Though bring Jess and Midnight here when the moon is out. There is another surprise we worked in.” Sabrina said with a wink. Shianna just grinned. ‘Night time could not come soon enough now.’ I told Zero as I gave him back control of his body. ‘I know, waiting is going to kill us today.’ He answered.

When it was night and the crescent moon was high in the sky. We met Jess in the garden. Zero told her that we had a surprise for her so she would be blindfolded and would ride on my back. Jess laughed, but humored us. I took over as we shifted. Jess was already blindfolded and just standing in a light sundress. Zero asked her to dress in something she didn’t mind tearing because once we got there we wanted her to shift. I rubbed up against her and laid down. ‘Climb up baby.’ I mind linked her. Jess felt around and slowly climbed herself up onto my back. Once she was holding on tight so she wouldn’t fall off, I lightly ran to the hilltop.

At the hilltop, ‘Alright sweetheart. We are here, you can slide off and shift.’ I told her. Jess carefully slid down, the same way she climbed up and then shifted right next to me. ‘Gasp. Lucifer, this is wonderful.’ Midnight cooed in my head. I rubbed up against her, and she in turn nuzzled me. Sabrina and Shianna out did themselves with their extra surprise. The flowers that covered the entire hilltop seemed to be glowing in the moonlight. Midnight and I chased each other around and wrestled in the field of flowers. The flowers seemed truly magical, because even though we would roll over them, brand new ones would instantly grow in its place.

I brushed my nose against Midnight’s nose and playfully growled. She turned around and swished her tail in my face. I took that chance to pounce on her, mounting her while I placed my mark on her neck. She howled and whimpered, but I could feel in the bond that it was from pure pleasure and not from pain. After releasing her, I stepped back and bared my neck to her. The only wolf that I would ever do this to was her. She turned and licked my muzzle before she marked me. I never felt so complete as I did knowing that our luna bore not only the marks of our human sides, but now us as alpha wolves. She was ours in every way from her on forth.

~End of Flashback~

‘Why don’t you take them to the hilltop beyond the south garden. Sabrina and Shianna made it special for when I completed the alpha bond with your mother’s wolf, Midnight.’ I told them. Artemis tilted her head in confusion. ‘There is a special hilltop back there?’ Melody seemed happy and lightly popped herself in the head. ‘Of course. It is the same hilltop that we used to go to when we were younger. The one filled with all the blue and purple roses. That would be perfect. Thank you so much Daddy.’ Melody said and Artemis seemed to remember it then too. ‘Oh that hilltop.’ Melody kissed my nose and I gave her a big lick across her face. ‘Ack, hey.’ She giggled as she wiped her face. ‘Melody we got to go. We have training soon.’ Artemis said. ‘Ok. Thanks again daddy. I got to go. Love you.’ She called before she broke the connection. It is nice that my little girl now is happy with her mates, but it saddens me too because she is no longer my ‘little’ girl anymore. I think to myself.
