Legend Of The Moon Princess -
Episode 68
I get Kayla and Natalia into the truck and start driving away from the pack house. They were both beautiful. Even in simple clothes. Star had dressed Natalia in a nice green sundress with black leggings and ankle heeled boots. Kayla was dressed more like Melody would. She had a bright red blouse that hung off her shoulders with black skinny jeans and nice boots. They both are so different but yet also so alike. Just like how Kayla accepted what happened between Jayde and me, Natalia accepted it as well. Even though she turned the deepest shade of red I had ever seen when she found out that her sister told me that she was a virgin. It was adorable, even though the punch she gave her sister had sent poor Kayla flying across the front yard.
Seeing their strength and reflexes make me want to train harder. I already know they are stronger than me at this point. Not that I don’t mind stronger women, but I want to at least fight beside them. I would hate for them to try and take things on themselves because of our difference in strength, but all that aside for now. I want to know more about my mates and their lives back home. “So how big is your pack?” I asked. The twins only talked about their family, so I wondered about their actual pack. “I would say we have about 300 members in our pack. It is smaller than most packs, but it is also the only one of its kind.” Kayla said. “How come it’s the only one of its kind?” I asked. “Because there are beast humans of all kinds in our pack. Along with some giants, humans, and fae creatures of all kinds.” Natalia answered. “Fae?” I wondered. Kayla laughed a bit. “That is the term for creatures that come from the fairy kingdom. Creatures such as dwarfs, elves, sirens, and different types of fairies.” Kayla explained. “And for the beast humans there are wolves, tigers, lions, bears, boars, snakes, and even horses.” Natalia added.
‘Wow. There were a lot of different animals and creatures in their pack. How on earth did they ever get along?’ I wondered to myself for a moment. “How did your pack get along with so many different creatures in one place? Didn’t the humans try to kill you off out of fear?” I asked. “There would always be fear in this world and the next. Fear of the unknown is within everyone.” Natalia said with sadness in her voice. “Some of the humans that live within our pack were thrown out of their villages for protecting beast humans or other creatures from being mistreated. Others wanted to learn more about our way of life and just ended up staying for good.” She added. “Some humans have even joined because they were mated to a beast human or another creature. Jasmine was really not that discriminative about people wanting to join. The only thing she wanted was to make a place where the twins could grow up in peace. Whether it was all alone, or with others.” Kayla said.
“So would Kai and Riley have taken over the pack when they came of age?” I asked. “Yes and no. Jasmine became the alpha because she was the strongest. Unlike here when the title is passed down to the children of the previous alpha. The title is earned back in our world.” Natalia said. “Yes and the title goes to whoever is the strongest and the best at keeping the pack stable and safe. Jasmine proved that she was the strongest, so she was named the alpha. If her offspring were to take over they would have to prove they are worthy of the title and responsibility.” Kayla added. “Oh. Okay. Well we can talk more about it some other time back at the pack house. We reached our first stop on our date and in this world humans don’t know we exist so we gotta keep it a secret.” I said while putting a finger to my lips and giving them a wink. Kayla smirked and nodded while Natalia blushed a bit and smiled.
I got out and ran around the truck to open the door for the girls. “Whoa what is this place?” Natalia asked, looking around with wonder and stars in her eyes. “It is called a zoo. It is where humans go to learn about different animals of the world. It is pretty tame for a date, but I wanted you both to be comfortable.” I said with a smile. Natalia and Kayla smiled back at me. Natalia jumped in my arms. She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed my cheek. Kayla jumped on my back and kissed my other cheek. I was kind of stund that they would be so openly affectionate with me in front of others. “You know you are allowed to hug us back. You are our mate.” Kayla whispered lowly in my ear.
I then raised my arms up and wrapped them around Natalia in front of me. Looking down at her. She was smiling brightly at me. “Thank you so much for planning something with us in mind. It was so thoughtful of you.” She said. “I would always think of you two when I plan dates like this for us to enjoy. I am so glad you like it.” I said. “We love it.” They said in unison then they both started laughing. “What is so funny?” I asked, feeling like I was left out of the joke. “It has been a while since Natalia and I were so in-tuned with one another that we spoke at the same time.” Kayla said, while jumping off my back. Natalia let my neck go and linked her arms with one of mine. Kayla wrapped her arms around the other. “Yeah, since she had been going to the red light district it was something we fought about.” Natallia said. “Yes. It seemed that the only time my sister and I had been in sync like that was on the battlefield.” Kayla added. I smiled at both of them, as I escorted them into the zoo.
A few hours later…
After looking at all the animals we ended up at a little coffee stand. “Hello. Would you like to check out our pet cafe?” The sales girl asked. ‘Pet cafe?’ I wondered. “I don’t see a cafe?” I said. The sales girl giggled. “Oh we don’t have a cafe building. It is more of refreshment stands spread out at different points of the petting zoo. It allows our customers to get a refreshing drink while they walk around and pet the cuties in the petting zoo.” She said with a smile and pointed to the sign on the side of her stand that listed off the drinks she has. “Plus with it being outdoors, the animals are in decent size pens that allow them to run around.” She added. Kayla looked at the list of drinks and looked like she was concentrating hard about it.
“Would you like to try a few samples, miss?” The young girl asked Kayla. “Sure. That would be great if you don’t mind.” Kayla said with a smile. The girl brought out three small paper cups and filled each one with a different drink. “Other than water, soda, and fruit smoothies, we have special drinks. An iced smore coffee, our own shake up lemonade with a hint of lime, and an iced sweet mint tea.” She said as she pointed to each one. Kayla took a sip of the smore iced coffee and licked her lips. “Oh this one is nice. Sister, try this one.” She said as she held the cup to Natalia. Natalia took a sip. “It is delightful, but a bit too sweet for my tastes.” She answered and threw the empty cup away. “Then would you like to try the lemonade next?” the sales girl asked while holding the cup out for Natalia. Natalia took a sip and smiled. “Mmmmm. The hint of lime adds a nice bitterness to the sweet sugar of the lemonade.” She said and held the cup to Kayla.
Kayla downed the rest and her lips started to pucker a bit. “A bit too bitter for me, I am afraid.” The sales girl and Natalia laughed at the sour faces that Kayla was making. I laughed a little myself. “This one is a sweet mint tea.” The girl said, handing the cup to Kayla. Kayla sipped it and then handed it off to her sister without saying anything. Natalia took a drink and beamed with a happy smile. “I think we have a winner for both of us.” She said. Kayla nodded in agreement. “Yup.” Then they both turned my way. “Can we please get some of the sweet mint tea?” they said in unison. The sales girl laughed and I laughed while nodding. “Sure. Two sweet mint teas please, miss.” I said and pulled out my wallet to pay for them. SHe smiled and nodded. She quickly made two large cups of tea and handed one to Kayla and the other to Natalia. I paid for the drinks and slipped a ten into her tip cup.
We walked around the petting zoo while the girls enjoyed their tea for about another hour. Turns out all of the cute, fluffy little animals were surrounding Natalia and Kayla. None of the animals wanted to come near me. It was not unusual. Animals are more aware of our wolves inside us, but it is like they can’t sense Yin or Yang. “Can they not sense it?” I mumbled under my breath. Natalia giggled and leaned closer to me. “Beast souls are able to completely seal off their presence. It is a skill that makes us great hunters.” She whispered low in my ear so no one could hear her. After that we left the zoo. We loaded back up into the truck and I started to drive to the next stop on our date.
