Maya

“Andrew!” I called my friend as soon as I turned into the hospital hallway, replaceing him headed for the locker room.

Andrew froze and immediately turned to me, “Hey!” he said.

“Do you remember to go get the cupcakes?,” I told him as I flanked him.

“Cupcakes and balloons, I also have to get some pizza for Jess who’s in the mood for pizza,” he said as we started walking towards the locker room.

Our shift was over, that would be my last ten-hour shift because from Monday I would start medical school and consequently part-time in the hospital. I sat at the car while waiting for Maya in front of the hospital. I left Axel with Maya’s mother because I was supposed to drive Maya out that day and finish buying things for Jess’ party.

I didn’t know where all that birthmark was coming from and when she was going to rest since she had just had a night shift in the emergency room but, when I offered to do the last steps to allow her to rest, she’d incinerated me with her eyes and stopped talking for hours. Women.

“Yes, Mom,” I answered defeated.

“Good. Hurry up,” and she hung up on me.

When my mom got into boss mode, she looked exactly like Jess, and all I could do was feel sorry for my dad, even though he didn’t seem to complain that much, Most of the time, he would just stand there and look at her like a boiled fish, and I couldn’t figure out how he could be bossed around like that.

That’s when my phone rang again.

I frowned at the phone. Well, the mood wasn’t the best, and I was hoping for a quickie in the car before I went for the last laps.

I pulled myself away from the car and walked towards the hospital entrance. Some people were leaving.

A blond man rushed out and came at me, mumbling a quick excuse before going to the parking lot, wearing a hospital uniform and having a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it. I followed him with my eyes until he stopped near a car, next to a girl and I saw clearly how he glued himself and kissed her neck.

I shuddered because until recently I was like that too. I watched the man for a few more seconds before turning around and walking towards the entrance just as Maya was coming out.

She was wearing wide, ripped jeans at the knee, a shoulder bag on the side and a low-cut top that highlighted her beautiful breasts that I wanted to sink my face into.

“Hey sexy man,” Maya said, almost jumping to me before throwing herself at me.

I grabbed her on the fly and lifted her off the ground. Immediately Maya surrounded my waist with her legs and my neck with her arms as her hands shoved into my hair. I kissed her immediately, taking advantage of what seemed to be a good mood.

“To what do I owe all this joy?” I asked, putting my hands on her butt blatantly.

“Good,” Maya said before she came out of my embrace.

As jealous and possessive Maya terrified me as only Jess could, I couldn’t help but feel excited at her displays of possessiveness. Maya became a beast in bed when she was jealous, and that could only mean I could have my quickie in the car before I went to the mall.

I looked up and smiled like an i***t when I saw that the man I had bumped into before was watching us carefully before turning around and focusing again on the girl next to him.

I shook my head and let Maya in the car and then started the car and drove to the mall.

I sighed and surrounded her shoulders with one arm, drawing her to me, as she looked over her shoulder and then turned around and grabbed my chin and printed a k**s on my lips.
