Love at the Door -
Chapter 41
Chapter 41
Melina once asked Andrew for his phone number not too long ago so she could ask him to inform her when Wallace was coming home to
eat.
Not only did Andrew refuse to give her his number, but he’d mocked
her too.
At that moment, Andrew felt oddly annoyed as he watched Melina save Toby’s phone number.
He marched out with a darkened expression on his face and spat, “I’m leaving.”
Melina put away her phone hastily, jogged after Andrew, and caught up with him.
Toby looked at both their retreating figures and retracted his
ingenuine smile.
“Andrew, is she really just your sleeping medicine?”
Melina left the hospital with Andrew.
A brand new car was already waiting for them by the hospital door.
After they got on, the car headed toward Oakread.
Melina tried to make conversation. “Andrew, I think Dr. Ludwig is right. It’ll be better to have someone take care of you.”
“No need. I don’t like people staying over at Oakread.”
“Erm, I stayed at Oakread for a few days the other time.”
“You’re different.”
Melina’s words were stuck in her throat. This was not what she
meant!

Andrew once came looking for her. He wanted her to move back, but she rejected him.
However, she felt like she should move back right now. If Andrew
were to mention anything along the likes of it, she would take up his offer immediately.
Andrew didn’t mention anything like that at all.
She already gave him such a clear hint, but he was still silent.
She wouldn’t know that Andrew was never going to say anything.
Right now, he was like a skilled hunter stalking his prey. He was not actively pursuing his prey. In fact, he was waiting for his prey to fall into the trap on its own.
Melina baited Andrew for a long time but to no avail. There was no response from Andrew at all.
Finally, she took the initiative to ask, “Can I move back to Oakread to take care of you, Andrew?”
Initially, according to Melina’s character, since she was once chased out, she was never going to move back ever again.
Even if Andrew came to her door and cordially invited her to move back, she would reject him without hesitation.
But, now that Andrew was injured, no one would be around to take care of Andrew if she didn’t move back. What if Andrew’s wounds were to get infected?
Toby said that infected wounds would be very dangerous.
Andrew smirked subtly once he heard what Melina had asked. “Sure, but I don’t like too much movement at Oakread. Don’t move in and
out repeatedly.”
Melina nodded.

She felt like she wasn’t at fault. She wasn’t the one that wanted to move in and out repeatedly in the first place. Andrew was the one who had asked for her to leave.
She was deep in thought when she heard Andrew ordering the driver
to head toward the old apartments at Maple Court.
The driver turned around and headed there immediately.
None of them realized that there was a car tailing behind them.
Wallace, who was in the black car behind them frowned.
“Isn’t that Andrew’s car? He just got in an accident and he’s not going home. Where could he be heading?
“Bernard, follow them.”
When Wallace found out about Andrew’s accident, he rushed over
immediately.
In an unfortunate coincidence, he saw Andrew’s car leave the hospital, so Wallace followed behind him and saw that they were heading toward an old apartment.
It was so secluded and battered that people like them would usually
never come here.
Then, Wallace saw Melina get out of the car and head into the
apartment.
His forehead furrowed so deeply a line appeared between his brows.
Not long after that, he watched as Melina brought all her belongings down from the apartment building.
It was a staggering amount of luggage, and it was exactly the same as what she carried when she first arrived.
Wallace instantly understood what he was seeing and was
thunderstruck.
With all her belongings here, it would mean that Lina had been staying in this old apartment!
Wallace’s breathing quickened with rage.
He understood how obedient Lina could be. For her to stay here would mean that she was probably previously chased out and was now moving back with Andrew,
That stupid brat, Andrew!
He didn’t treasure such a gem of a girl at all and it infuriated him.
Bernard saw how angry Wallace was and hurriedly passed Wallace.
his medication. He was worried that Wallace’s anger would provoke medical complications.
Wallace was silent for a very long time.
