Love at the Door -
Chapter 52
Chapter 52
At that moment, Melina thought, “A boy this dangerous must have scared away so many tutors already.”
But she wasn’t going to run.
With a salary of 20 thousand a month, even if he were a wild beast, she’d make sure to turn him into a well -behaved student!
So what if he was a troubled kid? There was nothing to fear.
Without hesitation, Melina lunged forward, grabbing the boy’s wrist with a swift, practiced movement. His fingers went numb, forcing him to drop the knife.
As the blade clattered to the floor, Melina grabbed the curtain cord with her other hand and quickly tied up both of the boy’s wrists.
Now it was his turn to be shocked, “What are you doing?
Ignoring his protest, Melina found a first–aid kit in the room, pulled up a chair, and sat in front of him to treat his wounded finger.
The boy, seething with anger, tried to resist.
“If you dare move,” Melina said sternly. “Ill tie up your legs too.”
“You wouldn’t dare!”
Not long after, the boy’s legs were also bound.
“Don’t touch me, you lunatic!” he shouted.
“How am I supposed to treat your wound if I don’t touch you?” she retorted calmly.
“Don’t stare at me!” he yelled.
Melina glanced around the room, grabbed a large towel, and threw it over his head, covering his eyes. There, now you won’t see me looking at you.”
The boy was speechless.
Blinded, he struggled even more.
Annoyed, Melina decided to tie him up completely, binding him with a neat, secure knot. She warned him In a fierce tone, “Make any more noise, and I’ll gag you too!”
The boy fell silent, likely realizing that he couldn’t win against this woman physically.
Melina finished treating his cut finger, then placed a book on the desk and pushed him into a chair.
Only then did she remove the towel from his head.
He glared at her furiously.
“What’s your name?” Melina asked.
He didn’t answer.
She flipped through the book on the desk and found the name written inside. “Dante Rothschild, right?”
Dante was still glaring at her. “What the hell are you trying to do?”
“I’m your tutor,” she replied matter–of–factly. “So of course, I’m here to teach you. Now be quiet–it’s

tutoring time, and I’m getting paid for this.”
Dante tried to detect something different in her gaze–he expected the same disgusted, fearful looks that everyone else gave him, as if he were a monster. But all he saw in her eyes was frustration, like a teacher fed up with a student.
Melina had already opened the book and started teaching.
She had been paid, after all–so professionalism was a must. Besides, if this trial lesson didn’t go well, she’d lose the job.
No matter how seriously Melina explained the lesson, Dante, with his hands and feet bound, wasn’t listening at all.
Melina seemed unfazed.
After finishing her explanation, she turned to Dante and asked, “Here’s a multiple–choice question. The bond market issues three types of bonds. Bond A has a face value of 100 dollars, with a total return of 103 dollars after one year. Bond B has a face value of 50 dollars, with a total return of 51.4 dollars after six months.
“Bond C has a face value of 100 dollars but a purchase price of 97 dollars, with a total return of 100 dollars after one year. As a buyer, rank these bonds in order of return from smallest to largest. Option A: BAC, Option B: ACB, Option C: ABC, Option D: CAB. What’s your answer?”
Dante didn’t listen, nor did he bother to think. He simply refused to respond.
Melina picked up a pen and drew a small turtle on his face.
Dante was speechless.
Melina asked again, “What’s the answer? If you don’t respond, I’ll assume it’s wrong. And for every wrong answer, I’ll draw another turtle on your face. When this lesson is over, I’ll walk you through the entire house, showing everyone what I’ve drawn.”
Dante’s eyes widened. “You… You wouldn’t dare.”
“Oh, but I would,” Melina replied confidently. “Anyone who tries to mess with my job is my enemy!” Besides, she had dared to punch people scarier than him–there was nothing she wouldn’t do. 1
