Love at the Door -
Chapter 96
Chapter 96
Suffering from a fever, Andrew was already weaker than usual. Linda’s actions almost knocked him over. Moreover, he didn’t like being touched either. All of his patience had been worn thin, and his eyes flashed menacingly.
Je was by no means a kind and tolerant-
Linda had only managed to stay by
his side all these years because she knew her boundaries and made sure to stay within them. But today, she crossed the line.
As Linda was behind Andrew, she couldn’t see the look in his eyes, but the Wentworths could. No one knew what he would do when he flew into a rage.
If he hadn’t gotten bored after a while, he would’ve thrashed that person on the rollercoaster within an inch of his life before letting him go.
Celine nestled back against the couch, afraid of getting caught in the crossfire Joseph’s eyes gleamed sharply. He wanted nothing more than for things to blow up even more. However, Wallace stood up to try and stop Andrew.
It was then that Melina yanked Linda off Andrew. With how thin and frail Linda was, Melina could’ve easily handled five of her. She stood protectively in front of Andrew and snapped, “Don’t touch him, Linda!”
Andrew’s back was covered in wounds, and some were even inflamed right now. The way Linda threw herself at him would’ve split the wounds open again.
Melina was worried about Linda worsening Andrew’s injury, but to everyone, it
sounded as if she was being possessive.
More importantly, Andrew was on the verge of exploding. Anyone who crossed him now was doomed.
However, to everyone’s shock, they found that his menacing air had subsided. It was as if nothing ever happened. How was this possible? How did it happen?
Was it because he couldn’t bear to hurt Linda, or was it because Melina was holding
him now?
Melina didn’t know what the others were thinking, but even if she did, she wouldn’t. care. She’d experienced how vicious he could be when she approached him while he was asleep, and she’d punched him right back too without feeling a shred of fear.
After keeping Andrew securely behind her, she kept an eye on Linda to make sure the latter didn’t approach him again. At the same time, she instructed Jason, “Get the car around. I’m heading out.”

“Got it!” Jason responded loudly. “I’ll bring the car around right away.”
Jason moved quickly, but Melina was even faster. She shoved Andrew toward the was even faster. She shoved Andrew toward the door at once, using so much force that even if he tried to fight back, he wouldn’t be able to–but it didn’t seem like he intended to anyway.
At some point, the ferocity in his eyes had been replaced with curiosity. He found Melina rather intriguing, but right now, he didn’t know what that meant.
Not many things in his dreary life intrigued him.
Jason drove the car to the front entrance, and Melina dragged Andrew into it. The Wentworths were still in a daze, and Linda was too shocked to even cry.
After getting into the car, Melina said, “Jason, drive to the nearest hospital.
At last, Andrew tore his curious gaze away from Melina and said, “Take us to Peace Hospital.”
Jason didn’t move. Instead, he looked at Melina as though he was waiting for her decision. His reaction even made Andrew eye him. Did Jason think he worked for Melina and not the Wentworths now?
Melina didn’t pay any attention to these things. Knowing how stubborn Andrew was, she nodded and said, “Okay. Let’s go to Peace Hospital then.”
Although the car felt a little stuffy, Melina didn’t open the windows. She was afraid the chilly air would make Andrew’s fever even worse.
She kept observing him the whole time and realized his lips had gotten even redder. The fever also made his eyes bloodshot. Without even thinking about what she was doing, she reached out to touch his forehead.
Andrew raised an eyebrow, but he didn’t push her hand away.
“She’s got quite the nerve,” he thought to herself. “She even dares to touch me whenever she wants.”
