Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1009: There's a good show
"Hilarity?"
Brimlad gasped, "And did you ever think of Dad lying alone in the hospital?"
Silvia got upset at this, "Sister-in-law, it's your second brother's birthday, can you not give us a hard time by mentioning this?"
"How did I give you guys a hard time? Did I say something wrong?"
Eloise stepped in and said, "Stop it, it's not a good idea for outsiders to see the joke."
At these words, both Brimlad and Silvia calmed down.
Brimlad took a deep breath, "Forget it, you never had Dad in mind anyway."
"What are you talking about, sister-in-law?" Silvia was upset again.
"Second aunt, my brother-in-law was also angry in the heat of the moment, don't be angry, you have guests to entertain." Eloise advised kindly. Brimlad couldn't swallow it and she pulled Eloise, "Eloise, let's go."
She can't leave.
How could she leave before the fun had begun?
Eloise pulled Brimlad back, "Auntie, if you leave like this, the guests will definitely talk behind your back if they see you. If there's anything, let's wait until the day is over." "But..."
Brimlad is just mad at Mr and Mrs Devona for being so heartless, it's ridiculous that they're having a big treat here while the old man is lying in hospital. "Don't get angry, it's your own body that's damaged by anger."
With Eloise's persuasion, Brimlad was finally calmed down.
But also in no mood to entertain guests, she dragged Brimlad to the back of the villa to rest in the garden.
Taking advantage of this gap, Eloise made a call and confirmed with the person on the other end of the line before hanging up with confidence. Near the start of the birthday party, Hector finally arrived.
Devona and Silvia greeted him very warmly.
"Hector, you're finally here. Your second uncle I was so anxiously waiting for." Devona said with a smile.
Hector handed out the gift he had brought, "This is from my father, wishing you a happy birthday and a long life."
Hearing that it was from his father, Devona took it, flattered, and said, "I'm sorry to have cost your father so much, say thank you to him for me." Hector nods his head.
Following this, he looked around for Eloise.
"Eloise, it's over there."
Looking in the direction Silvia pointed, he saw a busy Eloise and hurriedly lifted his steps over to her.
Eloise helped to set up the buffet, turned around and almost bumped into someone.
She hurriedly took a step back and was busy apologising, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
A soft laugh sounded overhead.
So familiar!
She raised her head just in time to meet a pair of smiling eyes, her red lips curving up slowly, "There you are."
Hector glanced at the tray in her hand and his brow furrowed slightly, "Why are you doing this?"
"Because it's boring." Eloise shrugged her shoulders, "It's too early to come over and there's no one here to talk to, so I had to replace my own amusement." Hector raised an eyebrow, "So now that I'm here, will you keep me company?"
Eloise handed the tray to the maid, took his arm and said with a smile Brimlad, "Of course."
The birthday party started at 7pm.
Eloise didn't expect Rawlins and Earlene to be invited and was surprised and pleasantly surprised to see them.
"Earlene."
"Eloise."
Earlene came over and took Eloise's arm affectionately.
Seeing this, Rawlins smiled and said, "I can't believe how close you two are already."
"That's for sure, I'm now Eloise's best friend in Kyoto." There was a little pride on Earlene's face as she said this.
Having said that, she and Eloise looked at each other and smiled.
Rawlins and Hector chatted for a few minutes and then walked away with Earlene, not wanting to disturb the couple. "I'll come to you later." Earlene said.
Eloise smiled and nodded, "Good."
Earlene looked at Hector before she was reluctantly pulled away by her brother.
At that moment, Eloise saw Goode in the crowd and raised an eyebrow, "Hector, there's a good show coming up later." "Hmm?" Hector looked at her uncertainly.
She smiled wryly, "You'll replace out later."
The party went well, with lots of joking and laughing and a great atmosphere.
Suddenly, a shrill female voice rang out, "Goode, get out here!"
The guests looked at me, and I looked at you, each with a puzzled look on their faces, wondering what was going on.
"You can't go in there!" The housekeeper and the maids stopped the woman who was rushing towards the villa with deadly force.
But the woman looked like she had gone mad, scratching and biting, scratching the butler and the maid's faces so much that they couldn't be bothered to stop her.
The woman stormed into the party scene, looked left and right, then shouted at the top of her lungs, "Goode you bastard, get out here! If you don't come out, I'll tell you all the shit you've done today." "Who are you?" Silvia hurried over and questioned loudly.
The woman recognised her as Goode's mother and smiled coldly, "Who am I? You ask your son."
"What kind of attitude is that?" Silvia was furious.
"All right, let's not talk about that. Get someone to get her out of here." Devona pulled Silvia into a hug and whispered in her ear.
The woman heard this and immediately sat on her butt, spilling out and crying, "Goode, you have no conscience, you don't even want your own child ... you're a bastard and a liar ... "
Goode is known to be a playboy who is a daily flirt and changes women as often as he changes clothes, but he just didn't expect to make such a joke.
The guests murmured and mocked mostly.
Devona and Silvia could not afford to be embarrassed and they called the housekeeper and the maids to get them out.
Sensing their intentions, the woman lurched to her feet and bumped them off, then rushed over and picked up a red wine bottle and cracked it, pointing the sharp end at her neck. "If you dare step forward, I will die for you!"
Looking at the woman's ruthless demeanour, there was a real possibility that she might do so.
The butler and the maids were suddenly afraid to come forward.
Devona had no choice but to have Goode called in.
Goode actually ran upstairs to hide in fear as soon as the woman rushed in.
The whole thing was cringing as they were pulled down at this point.
"What the hell is going on here?" Devona immediately questioned in a stern voice as soon as she saw Goode.
"I ... I don't know her." Goode couldn't even look at the woman.
At his words, the woman burst out laughing, a shrill, slightly terrifying laugh.
"Goode, when you slept with me, why didn't you say you didn't know me?"
Goode kept his head down and didn't make a sound.
A nice birthday party turned into this.
Devona and Silvia were both annoyed, but with outsiders watching, they couldn't take things too far.
