Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1041: Eloise, wait for me

Ramm had deployed his men around several of the Bergerian institutes, as Hector had ordered.

They were looking for the right time to break in.

This time, it was imperative to get the latest results of the virus research.

After a few days of observation, Ramm's men noticed that something was wrong.

"Mr. Ramm, I noticed that that Professor Curry was not in and out of these institutes, could it be that he is not in these institutes?"

"Are you sure you didn't see anyone?" Ramm asked.

"Positive. We have a twenty-four hour watch on several institutes, we know exactly when even the flies go in."

Ramm thought for a moment and said, "You guys keep watching, I'll report back to the prince on the current situation and see what he says." "Good." The subordinate led the order and hurried away.

Ramm frowned and pondered for a while before picking up his phone and dialing Hector's number.

Here, Hector had just arrived at City J and was back at the Rogers family.

When he saw the caller ID, he picked up the phone immediately, "Ramm."

Hector's low voice came through and Ramm rushed to report the situation to him.

"Prince, we found that Professor Curry was not present at these institutes."

Professor Curry was the central figure in the Bergerian research team, solely responsible for researching the virus, and the drugs to destroy it. "Are there any other institutes?" Hector asked.

"Nothing has been found yet, but we can't rule out that there is." Ramm answered back truthfully.

Hector was silent for a moment before speaking again, "Then keep looking, don't act now, before you spook the police."

"Yes, I understand."

"Let me know if there's anything."

"Yes."

Hector hung up the phone and fell into contemplation.

They had infiltrated one of the Bergerian institutes earlier, and had only gotten a portion of the structural research results of the virus. So, the research should be different at each institute.

Professor Curry, on the other hand, was in charge of researching drugs to combat the virus.

This is the most important.

I'm sure the Bergerian had already prepared for everything.

Thinking about it, Hector suddenly thought of Rowson.

The man had joined Bergerian's research team for Eloise, but he hadn't contacted Eloise for so long, so he must have found nothing.

Hector thought for a moment, then turned and walked out of the study.

...

Hector's mother, who was playing with the children in the living room, saw Hector coming downstairs and asked with concern, "Hector, are you going out?" "Daddy!"

Solomon and Sweety both ran towards him with happy legs as soon as they saw him.

"Daddy, you're home, what about Mummy?" Sweety asked, hugging his leg and tilting her head, nurturingly.

Hector knelt down and softly replied, "Mommy is still at your aunt and grandmother's, she won't be back for a few days."

"Oh." Sweety beamed with disappointment.

Hector smiled, stroked her head and said to Solomon, "Take your sister to play."

"Okay."

Solomon obeyed and took Sweety off to play.

Hector's mother came over, saw the tired look on his brow and frowned, asking distressedly, "Why don't you get more rest?" "Something came up at work." Seeing her worried face, Hector gently reassured her, "Mum, I'm fine, you don't have to worry." "Good, then you take care on your way." Hector's mother knew he was a career-minded man, so she didn't stop him. Hector said "yes" and went straight out.

When he arrived at the Rogers Group, he went straight to Rupert's office.

"Brother, why are you back all of a sudden?"

Rupert stood up in surprise when he pushed his way in.

"Got a minute?" Hector asked.

Rupert nodded, "Yes."

"Come here then, I have something to tell you."

At that, Rupert hurried around the desk to him, "What is it?"

"I'm going on a trip to Italy ..."

"You're going to Italy?"

Without waiting for him to finish, Rupert interrupted him in shock.

"Hmm." Hector nodded, "Eloise's health can't be delayed any longer, we have to get the medicine in a hurry or the consequences will be unthinkable." "That I know, but what can you do in Italy?" Rupert asked, "Are you going to see Bergerian yourself?"

Hector was silent.

"Brother, don't be impulsive. If your sister-in-law knew you were doing this for her, she'd blame herself for dragging you down and causing you trouble."

He didn't know this, but he really didn't want to wait any longer.

"It's settled." Hector reached out and patted Rupert on the shoulder, "I'll leave the Rogers Group in your hands, and Eloise's side too, to help me take extra care of it, while I'm off in Italy." "Brother!" Rupert tried to persuade him.

Hector curled his lips, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."

It was just the way he was, once he had decided there was no room for manoeuvre.

Rupert thought about it and said, "Why don't I go with you?"

"No. Aisly's due date is coming up, too, and you can't leave."

In the end, Rupert could only sigh heavily, "Then you take care of yourself and let me know if anything happens."

"Good." Hector took a deep breath, the corners of his mouth seemingly curling up, "It's been a hard time for you."

Although Rupert had always complained that he had left the whole company to himself, he had only been talking about it, and now that he had said "hard", his eyes inexplicably burned a little. "I don't work hard." Rupert said with a smile.

Hector smiled, "Book me a flight to Italy, as soon as possible."

With this trip, he didn't know when he would be back.

The thought of Eloise in Kyoto made his heart ache as if it had been clutched hard.

Eloise, wait for me.

...

As soon as Earlene got Eloise's blood, she spent the night analyzing and studying it.

After staying awake all night, she finally got the results of the blood analysis.

As she suspected, the virus in Eloise's blood and the one Pierce showed her partly overlapped, which meant that it was most likely the same virus.

Looking at the report, Earlene couldn't hide the excitement on her face.

Her research had been stagnant for the past few years, with no new breakthroughs, and now that a new virus had been delivered to her, she would be foolish not to take advantage of it. "Knock, knock!"

A knock on the door snapped, and her expression instantly flinched as she angled her head sideways at the tightly closed door.

"Earlene, are you in there?"

It was Rawlins.

She put down her report, took off her gloves and mask, and turned to open the door.

Rawlins saw no response and was about to knock once more when the door suddenly opened.

He met a pair of cold eyes and his breath caught as he pulled the corners of his mouth up in embarrassment, "Am I interrupting something?"

"Something wrong?" Earlene asked with an expressionless face.

"It's not morning, is it? I just wanted to call you over for breakfast."

Despite her coldness, Rawlins face was piled high with a smile. "Got it."

"I've got ... for you."

Rawlins couldn't finish her sentence before the door slammed shut.

A bitter smile spread across Rawlins' mouth.
