Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1059: Getting rid of them
Without waiting for the birthday party to end, Hector and Killers left early.
"Someone's following."
Ramm glanced in the rear view mirror and scowled.
"Ditch them." Killers looked back behind the car and there was indeed a car following.
She couldn't help but sputter, "This Bergerian is too paranoid to send someone after us."
She had always had a disdain for such suspicious men by nature.
As she had done before, Hector closed his eyes and took a nap as if he had nothing to do with it.
Killers elbowed him, "Hey, Hector, aren't you afraid the Bergerian will know you're Hector?"
"If I was afraid, I wouldn't have gone to see him."
Hector opened his eyes, and the corners of his mouth curled in a sneer.
To him, Bergerian was nothing more than an equal opponent; there was no fear.
"That's true." Killers skimmed his lips, "So did you get anything out of this one?" "Hmm."
"What was it?" Killers was curious.
"Keep an eye on those institutes for me these days."
Even if he didn't answer his own question, he was ordering her to do something.
Killers was instantly displeased, "Hector, I'm not one of your men, don't order me to do things."
"A drug to deal with the virus may have been researched." Hector said.
Killers' eyes lit up at that, "Are you serious, does that mean your wife is saved?"
"Just maybe, not sure yet."
It was just a guess on his part.
The new drug Bergerian had spoken of tonight might not be the one to deal with the virus.
But if there was even the slightest possibility, he wouldn't let it go.
Knowing that he was desperate to save Eloise now, Killers didn't bother with him and readily agreed, "Okay, I'll have someone keep an eye on it and let you know immediately if there's anything." "Thanks."
When he heard his thanks, Killers raised his eyebrows, "No thanks, I just hope you don't give me any more trouble in the future." Ramm, who was driving, heard this and couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Killers asked in disbelief.
"No... didn't laugh at anything."
"I'm telling you, your prince is a pain in the arse, every time he comes to Italy nothing good happens, I'm working for him for free." Despite the fact that Hector was around, Killers was still spouting off with gusto.
Ramm wanted to laugh but didn't dare, so he had to hold it in.
"Leave Ramm alone, there's a car behind us." Hector spoke faintly.
"Don't worry, Prince, I'll lose them soon enough."
Ramm looked straight and glanced in the rear view mirror, the car was following them closely and it would take some effort to shake them off. "Prince, Miss. Killers, sit tight."
Once the words were out of his mouth, Ramm stepped on the accelerator and the black Bentley sped down the late night highway.
After more than half an hour, the black Bentley pulled up smoothly under the hotel.
As soon as it was parked, Killers opened the door and got out, walking to the side of the road to dry heave.
Ramm hurriedly got out and went up to her, "Miss Killers, are you all right?"
"I'm fine, I'm just a little dizzy." Killers straightened up, raised her hand to rub her aching temples and smiled at him, "You ... are driving quite well in this car." "Sorry to make it hard on you." Ramm looked at her apologetically.
"It's okay, it's okay for me to take it hard as long as I can get rid of that car."
Killers looked over to Hector standing by the car and walked over, "I'm going to head back, we'll be in touch if anything comes up."
"Get Ramm to give you a lift." Hector said.
Because it was really hard, Killers didn't refuse, "OK."
He watched the car drive away before Hector turned around and went into the hotel.
When he got back to his room, it was after twelve o'clock at night.
By this time, it was already dawn in the country.
He took out his phone and dialled Eloise's video, putting it on the table and waiting for the connection.
Taking off his suit, he walked to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee and returned to the sofa in the living room to sit down.
The video didn't connect and cut itself off.
Both eyebrows furrowed slightly, still not up?
Eloise had slept so deeply because she had stayed up late last night video chatting with Hector that she hadn't heard the phone ringing.
She slept until noon and woke up to replace several missed video chat messages.
She wanted to call back, but thought Hector might be busy at the moment, so she gave up.
She washed up and went downstairs to replace that Edgar was home.
"Cousin, are you off today?" Eloise asked suspiciously as she walked over.
"Man's a bit under the weather."
Seeing that he didn't look well, Eloise couldn't help but worry, "What's not well?"
"A bit of a fever." Edgar gave her a reassuring smile, "I'm fine, I'll be fine after a bit of rest, you don't have to worry."
Eloise stepped forward and felt his forehead, her thin brow furrowed slightly, "It's hot, not just a little fever. Should we get a doctor to come and have a look?" "There's a medical kit on the counter over there, you can bring it over for me." Edgar said, pointing to the cupboard not far away.
"Okay."
Eloise turned to go and get it, when Edgar added, "And get me a glass of water."
"Oh, okay."
Eloise hurriedly brought the medical kit over to him and went to the kitchen to pour another glass of warm water.
Edgar found the fever-reducing pills in the medicine cabinet and took them with the warm water.
"The fever will be gone soon." Edgar said with a smile.
But Eloise was still unsure, "Cousin, if the fever doesn't go away you should get a doctor to look at it, don't underestimate the fever, it could turn into pneumonia." "I know." Edgar smiled, "You go and eat, I'll take a nap."
With that, he slumped down on the sofa.
Eloise hurriedly brought the blanket aside and covered him with it, before going to the dining room for lunch with a little peace of mind.
By the afternoon, Edgar's fever had not only not gone down, but had gotten worse, and he was in a feverish daze.
"Cousin, cousin." Eloise squatted by the sofa and nudged Edgar gently.
"Mmm ..." Edgar responded vaguely, his eyes not opening.
Eloise reached out and touched it, and her face instantly changed, why was it hotter?
"Butler." She called out in a raised voice.
"What's wrong Miss. Eloise," the housekeeper said as she came at the sound of the voice.
"Call a doctor, cousin has a high fever."
The housekeeper took one look at Edgar's condition and, not bothering to say anything more, hurriedly turned to the phone.
And Eloise Fong ran to the kitchen, found an ice pack in the fridge and wrapped it in a towel and rested it on Edgar's forehead, trying to bring the fever down in this way.
The doctor arrived soon afterwards and checked that the fever was just a sudden high and nothing else was wrong.
The fever slowly subsided with a fever-reducing injection.
Eloise was relieved when she touched Edgar's forehead, which was no longer hot.
"Later on, you can have the kitchen make some porridge for my cousin to eat when he wakes up." Eloise turned her head to the housekeeper.
The butler nodded, "Yes, I'm on my way."
He turned and headed for the door when there was a sudden thud behind him.
When he looked back, his face went white and he exclaimed, "Miss Eloise!" Eloise fell to the ground, unmoving.
