Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1074: Meeting again

After buying the clothes, Brimlad took Eloise and also Edgar to a western restaurant inside the mall.

"Auntie, is it afternoon tea?" Eloise asked curiously.

After all, at this hour, it wasn't time for dinner.

"You'll replace out later." Brimlad gave Edgar a meaningful look.

Edgar was struck by a sudden sense of foreboding.

They hadn't been seated long when a mother and daughter approached.

"Brimlad."

At the sound of the voice, Brimlad looked up, his face instantly filled with surprise, and he hurriedly stood up, "Acca, it's been a long time."

"Long time no see." The middle-aged woman known as Acca had the same surprised look on her face.

"Is this your daughter?" Brimlad's eyes went to the young girl beside her.

"Elva, call out for someone." Acca Hadwin turned her head to the girl.

The girl smiled good-naturedly at Brimlad, "Hello, Aunty, I'm Elva Boone."

"Elva, hello."

Brimlad looked at the girl with a look of affection, and Eloise suddenly understood that this was a blind date.

She cast a sympathetic glance across the table at Edgar.

Edgar could see it too, and he lowered his eyes slightly, trying to pretend he didn't know anything.

But Brimlad couldn't let him get by, reaching out and pulling him straight up, "Edgar, this is your favourite aunt Acca from when you were a kid, remember?" "Huh?" Edgar looked at Acca, who was all smiles of affection, and was a little confused.

To be honest, how could he remember anything from his childhood?

However, out of politeness, he still smiled and called out, "Aunty Acca."

"Edgar has grown so tall." Acca looked him up and down, the more she saw, the more satisfied she was, "You're handsome too."

"Thanks." Edgar smiled politely.

"Don't stand, sit down."

Brimlad greeted them as they sat down, pointing to the empty seat next to Edgar, "Elva, you sit over here."

"Okay." Elva obediently sat down next to Edgar.

Eloise moved self-consciously and sat at the far end, and Acca sat next to Brimlad.

"This is is..." Acca looked at Eloise quizzically.

Brimlad hastened to introduce herself, "She is my niece, my third sister's daughter."

"Sister Maryam's daughter?" Acca was surprised, "Sister Maryam is back?"

"Well, back." Brimlad turned the tables, "Well, enough about that, tell me about you. When did you guys come back home?"

"Just a while ago." Acca sighed, "It's better at home, so we're planning to come back and settle down."

Brimlad listened, "That's great, we'll have to move around more from now on."

With that, she looked at Elva and Edgar and found them both very cold, neither of them paying any attention to the other. Her brow furrowed in disbelief.

"Edgar, don't just sit there, talk to Elva."

Hearing this, Eloise looked up at Edgar and the corners of her mouth couldn't help but rise.

Her poor cousin must be thinking of some reason to go first.

Edgar caught her sniggering and gave her a no-nonsense look before turning her head to Elva, a polite smile on her lips, "Hi, I'm Edgar." Elva returned the smile coyly, "Hi, I'm Elva."

"Can you two stop being so rusty?" Brimlad just couldn't look away.

"Mom, can we not be rusty the first time we meet?" Edgar looked at her funny.

Brimlad didn't care about that, "You, hurry up and talk to someone Elva more."

Acca looked at her daughter and suggested with a smile, "Brimlad, why don't we go for a stroll and leave the two children alone to talk."

"Sure." Brimlad agreed without saying a word.

Following that, she turned to Eloise and said, "Eloise, let's go for a stroll."

Eloise glanced at Edgar, noticing his desperate wink at her, she smiled wryly and then, casually, found an excuse, "Auntie, I'm hungry and want to eat something."

"You child." Brimlad wanted to say how she was so eye-candy, but couldn't bring himself to say it.

At this point, Edgar said in a rush, "Mum, you and Auntie Acca go shopping on your own, and let Eloise stay here."

"But..."

Brimlad's idea was to leave her son and Elva alone, and an extra Eloise was ultimately inconvenient.

But Edgar didn't even give her a chance to speak and interrupted her directly, "Mum, Elva and Eloise are both girls and have more to talk about, otherwise it would be awkward for me as a big man." He was right to say that.

Brimlad could only compromise, "Fine then, you three young people have a good chat."

Edgar breathed a long sigh of relief as he watched Brimlad and Acca walk out of the restaurant, and he and Eloise looked at each other, seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes.

If they had known it was a blind date, neither Edgar nor Eloise would have accompanied Brimlad out.

But now they were in a difficult position, and they couldn't leave.

Eloise glanced at Elva, who looked quiet and shy with her head down.

"Elva, what would you like to eat?" Eloise asked of her own accord.

Elva lifted her head and smiled slightly, "Whatever."

Eloise couldn't help but smile too, "I'll just order whatever I want then." "Hmm." Elva nodded.

So Eloise randomly ordered some small snacks.

After that, she and Elva chatted about some topics that girls like to talk to each other, such as clothes and bags and so on.

And Edgar sat aside sipping his coffee and listening quietly.

"Hello, here are the desserts and three cups of coffee you ordered for your table."

A familiar voice sounded in his ears, and Edgar turned his head to see a clear face in his eyes, and he was surprised, "It's you." Eloise also recognised the girl who had tried to buy the same dress as her.

She surveyed the girl's outfit and smiled, "Hello again."

The girl smiled uncomfortably, "Mmm."

Edgar looked at the girl who had set the dessert on the table and hesitated before speaking tentatively, "Do you remember me?" The girl looked up at him and smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry, I don't remember."

"Okay." Edgar was a little disappointed.

Eloise took his disappointment in her stride and always felt in her heart that things were not simple.

"Oops!" Elva suddenly exclaimed.

It wasn't clear how it happened, but some of the coffee the girl was carrying spilled out and coincidentally spilled on Elva.

"Sorry, sorry!" The girl was so frightened that she drew some tissues and tried to wipe them up.

Elva stood up and wiped the soiled clothes while saying angrily, "Do you know how expensive my clothes are?"

"Sorry, sorry, I... I'll pay you back." The girl stood still, looking at Elva somewhat helplessly.

"Pay?" Elva looked her up and down, not hiding the contempt in her eyes, "Can you afford to pay for it, how can you possibly afford to pay for it with that small salary you get as a waitress?"
