Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1110: Hard won't do to soft

"Then you guys need to hurry up and get the guy back." Brimlad was a little agitated, "Eloise's body can't take a hit like that right now."

She didn't care who Earlene really liked, she only cared about her niece's body.

Eloise and Hector were so close, and the sudden loss of one of them would be too much for the other to handle.

Brimlad was worried.

"Mum, calm down, we're already looking." Edgar hurriedly calmed his mother down.

"And is there any news?" Brimlad asked.

Edgar shook his head, "No."

"How can there be nothing? The man couldn't have just disappeared for no reason." Brimlad thought for a moment, "Just use the Khan family's network, even if you have to turn the whole planet upside down, to replace him." "Mum, I know. But Earlene is intent on hiding people, and I'm afraid it won't be that easy to replace them."

And with them in the light and Earlene in the dark, it would be bad for them to know their movements whenever she wanted to.

That was the part Edgar was most worried about.

"Have a heart?" Brimlad sneered, "She calls that shameless! Knowing that Hector and Eloise are married and still liking Hector, I don't know what's going on in her head."

Brimlad was uncomfortable just thinking that she had said in front of herself that she had a crush on someone who was Hector.

If she had known that she had such thoughts about Hector, she should never have thought of her as a daughter-in-law, or even been foolish enough to try to set her up with Edgar. That's not stupid, that's just stupid.

After decades of living, I was fooled by a girl.

Hearing his mother's anger towards Earlene, Edgar couldn't help but laugh, "Mum, don't you like Earlene a lot? Why are you talking about her here?"

"I like her because I thought she was a kind and transparent child, but I didn't know that she was such a person."

Brimlad was really pissed off, and if Earlene were standing in front of her right now, she would like to give her a good scolding to see if she could get someone to wake up. "So, Mum, don't take people at face value in future, you know?" Edgar said meaningfully.

Brimlad nodded approvingly, "That's right. I'll have to be more careful from now on."

Edgar put his arm around her shoulders, "Not only should you be careful, but don't make me go on any more dates."

"That's fine." Brimlad turned his head to look at him, "You and Ainsley get to see each other, maybe you'll like her so you don't have to go on a blind date." "Mum."

A feeling of powerlessness flooded Edgar's mind, how could she still want to set him up with Ainsley Boone when he had made it so clear and obvious?

"Aren't you afraid that Ainsley will be the same as Earlene?"

"No way." Brimlad's tone was very certain.

"How do you know it can't be?"

"Because she told me in no uncertain terms that she likes you."

Edgar sighed, "Fine. But I'm not in the mood to look around with people right now, let's wait until we replace Hector."

Brimlad knew this wasn't the time to talk about it either, "Fine, we'll think about you when Hector gets back."

"Thanks Mum." Edgar turned his head to look upstairs with a stern look, "Mum, until Hector comes back, you need to keep an extra eye on Eloise and spend more time with her, don't leave her alone or she'll tend to get carried away." Brimlad nodded, "I know, I'll spend more time with her."

...

"Mr Bergerian, Miss. Eloise has returned home."

Bergerian looked up in shock at his assistant's report, "What do you mean? She's back in the country?"

"Yes, we found out her flight information."

"When?" Bergerian asked.

"Last night."

Bergerian smiled, a smile that did not reach his icy eyes, "Sofía, do you think I can't do anything about you because you're back in the country?"

He thought for a moment and ordered, "Book me a flight to City J. I'll go and get the man myself."

"Yes."

The assistant led the order and hurriedly left, almost colliding with Lisa as he walked to the door.

"Madam." The assistant hurriedly lowered her head respectfully.

Lisa frowned unhappily, "What's the hurry?"

"Sir asked me to book a flight to City J." The assistant answered back truthfully.

"City J?" said Lisa, puzzled, "Where is City J?"

The assistant opened her mouth to answer when Bergerian's voice rang out in the room, "Lisa, you can ask me in person if you want to know anything." Lisa looked at the assistant, "Go down."

The assistant hurriedly and quickly left.

Lisa walked into the room and saw Bergerian sitting behind his desk, looking down at his papers.

For some reason, she was a little nervous.

Taking a deep breath, she walked over, put the fruit she was carrying on the table and said in a soft voice, "Have some fruit."

Perhaps not used to her speaking to him in such a gentle tone, Bergerian's brow Edwina frowned and he looked up.

Only to see Lisa looking at him with a smile Brimlad.

Bergerian twitched the tip of his eyebrow slightly and asked faintly, "What are you trying to do again?"

"I'm not trying to do anything." Lisa was bewildered, "I'm just bringing you fruit."

Bergerian stared at her intently for a long moment before speaking again, "Lisa, in all the years we've been married, when have you ever been so considerate?" Lisa blushed a little uncomfortably at that.

He was right, for all the years we had been married, she had always been capricious and fidgety, not even pouring water for no one but him, let alone delivering fruit.

She bit her lip, as if with great determination, and said, "Then from today onwards, I'll be considerate."

"No need for that. I'm not blessed with it." With a cold look at her, Bergerian put his head down and stopped looking at her.

How insensitive of him!

She had every intention of making a change for him, and he was being so sarcastic.

Lisa got a little angry and she glared at Bergerian, her hands clenched into fists at her side.

"I'm too busy to watch you have a tantrum." Bergerian said without looking up.

"You!"

Lisa was so angry that she wanted to scold him, but when she thought of what Thomas had said earlier, she gritted her teeth and stifled the anger that was surging through her, trying to squeeze out a smile, "What are you talking about, how could I possibly have a tantrum?"

Bergerian looked up, his brow locked, "What the hell do you want?"

Was she going to go soft if hard times didn't work?

Lisa blinked, "Nothing, I just wanted to stay with you and watch you."

"No."

Another pot of cold water was poured over her.

The smile on Lisa's face froze for a few seconds before she recovered and asked cautiously, "So can you tell me what you're going to do at City J?"

"Business trip."

The short and concise answer.

Lisa thought for a moment and asked tentatively, "Can I go with you then? We haven't been out together yet, so it's a good opportunity to take advantage of it ..."

"Lisa, I'm going to work, not play." Bergerian stared at her coldly.

"Oh." Lisa forced a smile, "Fine then, I won't follow. You get busy."

She turned and walked out.

Bergerian just assumed she was on the wrong medication again and didn't feel reassured to go up, his attention returning to the paperwork.
