Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1161: You'd better not mess around

"Sister-in-law, you're crying."

Rupert said it as a statement rather than a question.

Eloise raised her hand to wipe the corner of her eyes and pursed her lips, "I'm happy that Aisly has added a new member to the family." "Sister-in-law, you don't really have to pretend in front of me, I know you're thinking about my brother, right?"

"You can see that." Eloise smiled awkwardly, "I was just thinking about what your brother was doing on such a happy day, I wonder."

Rupert mused for a moment before saying, "Sister-in-law, my brother will be back safely."

Eloise smiled, "I know."

It's just that there's no telling when he'll be back.

Rupert was about to say something else when the nurse's voice suddenly sounded behind him, "Is Aisly's family here? Come and accompany her back to the ward."

At that, Eloise hurriedly said, "Don't say anything, just go over and see Aisly."

Despite the hour-long exertion, Aisly was still in good spirits and as soon as she returned to the ward, she grabbed Eloise's hand and said, "Sister-in-law, I've finally learnt today how hard it is to give birth."

Eloise wiped the sweat from her forehead and smiled, "It is hard, so for the next month or so you need to rest and not think about anything, okay?"

"I know." Aisly glanced at the baby lying beside her and furrowed her thin brows, "Why are you wrinkled, you haven't inherited any of my beauty or his father's."

At this comment, everyone in the room couldn't help but laugh.

"Aisly, every baby is born looking like this, in a few days you'll be able to tell who he looks like." Hector's mother said with a grin on her face.

Aisly was a little surprised, "Really? All babies are born this red and wrinkly?"

Eloise nodded, "Well, Solomon and Sweety used to be like that when they were first born, do you see how they look now?"

"You and big brother are one handsome and one beautiful, can you have a baby that doesn't look good?"

Aisly's words again amused Eloise, "So yeah, what's not good looking about the baby?"

"Actually, I don't really care if it's good looking or not." Aisly bristled, "I'm more concerned with why he's not a girl."

She thought of Sweety being so lovely and soft to cuddle up to, and as her name Sweety, she wanted a daughter like Sweety so badly. "Have another one when the time comes." Eloise said.

At the sound of another one, Aisly immediately gave a look of resistance, "I don't want one."

Then, with a sigh, she said, "Forget it, a son is a son, it's your own child anyway."

A burst of laughter erupted in the ward.

...

When Aisly had gone to bed, Hector's mother pulled Eloise outside.

"Eloise, go home, you'll be fine here with me and Rupert."

Eloise Edwina smiled, "Mom, I'm fine..."

"No." Hector's mother interrupted her, "There will be a sister-in-law coming later, you don't need too many people here, you go home and get some rest." When she said that, Eloise couldn't insist any more, so she smiled and nodded, "OK, I'll go home then. If you guys get tired, just call me and I'll come over and help you." Hector's mother smiled, "Good."

Eloise called Thomas and asked him to come and pick her up from the hospital. She walked out of the hospital and tried to wait at the curb.

But to her surprise, as soon as she walked out of the hospital gates, she saw a familiar figure walking towards her.

Subconsciously, she turned around and was about to run.

But the other man was tall and caught up with her in a few large strides.

"Miss Eloise, my lady is here to see you." Carl said, expressionlessly.

Eloise restrained her nerves and raised her eyes to his with a stern gaze and a stern voice: "Let go of me! Or I'll shout! This isn't Italy, you can't mess around." Carl's eyes flashed and he suddenly pulled her to him.

"What do you ... want?

Before she could finish her sentence, a hard object was suddenly pressed against her waist.

Eloise's face paled. It was a gun!

Carl looked around, lowered his head and whispered in her ear, one word at a time: "Are you coming with me, or do you want to die?"

Eloise clenched her hand, "With you."

The corners of Carl's mouth curled up diagonally and he pulled her towards the car parked on the side of the road.

Eloise was shoved into the car, and when she looked up, she met Lisa's smug eyes, she sat back down, straightened her hair, and asked calmly, "What do you want?"

Lisa looked at Carl, who translated Eloise's words to her.

After listening, Lisa smiled, "Nothing, I just wanted to talk to you."

"I have nothing to talk to you about." Eloise took a deep breath, "I'll say it again, Bergerian only wants to capture me because I'm useful to his research, nothing else, and I hope you don't get any ideas."

"Do you really think he's only after you for research?" Lisa snorted and looked at her with a sneer in her eyes, "No, he's simply interested in you."

Eloise frowned, "Where do you get the idea that he's interested in me? What's more, I'm married."

"As far as Bergerian is concerned, it doesn't matter to him whether you're married or not."

At that, Lisa narrowed her eyes, "As long as he has his eye on something, he's bound to get it."

"Imperative?" Eloise couldn't help but laugh out loud, "Mrs. Lisa, as long as I don't want it, there's nothing he can do to me at all, is there?"

This wasn't Italy, she just didn't believe Bergerian could really do anything to her?

"But your very existence still disgusts me." Lisa glared at her coldly.

"I ..." Eloise wanted to say that she was the most innocent in this matter, but in the end she didn't, instead saying, "Just don't you go back to Italy."

"No." Lisa shook her head, "As long as you exist in this world, Bergerian will not give up."

"Then what do you want me to do?" Eloise was annoyed, "I'm already unlucky enough to be infected with this horrible virus and now someone wants to take me back for experimentation, what does it matter to me what happened all along? And I've left my husband unaccounted for because of it!"

Eloise's eyes were red with emotion, "Mrs. Lisa, if you're really afraid of what Mr Bergerian has in store for me, then all the more reason for you to replace a way to keep his heart, isn't it?"

"You don't have to tell me what to do!" Lisa scolded sternly, gritting her teeth in hatred, "You can't exist in this world anyway."

At that, Eloise laughed, her smile full of sarcasm, "So what, you want to kill me?"

"Exactly." Lisa raised an eyebrow, "As soon as you're dead, the Bergerian gives up too."

Her tone sounded like she was talking about something so uncommon.

But to Eloise's ears it was terrifying, but not wanting to be cowardly, she only managed to stay calm and said, "This isn't Italy, you'd better not mess around."
