Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1237: Don't make that mistake again

After breakfast, Eloise followed Hardcastle upstairs.

"Elo, this is the lady's room, everything in there is very valuable, so you have to be gentle and don't break it, okay?" Hardcastle admonished. Eloise nodded, "I know."

"Take your time cleaning then, I'm going downstairs, call me back if you need anything."

Eloise watched Hardcastle descend the stairs before walking into the room and looking around.

With its grey and blue tone and courtly furniture, the courtly décor was quite pretty and suited Earlene's aesthetic.

Except that this room was temporarily occupied by Hector.

Thinking of this, she inhaled deeply, and the air certainly smelt of Hector's unique freshness.

Her emotions were suddenly mixed; her man was now sleeping in another woman's bed, and although they weren't sleeping in the same room, it was still more than a little disconcerting.

She looked towards the large bed in the middle of the room, her eyes narrowing slowly, no, she had to replace a way to get Hector's memory back, otherwise she would drown in vinegar first if she continued like this. It took Eloise half a day to clean the room plus a cloakroom.

As she walked out of the room, she turned back and looked at the whole room, the corners of her mouth lifting. Although it was disconcerting, she wanted Hector to be able to sleep well every day.

So she cleaned with special care, leaving no corner untouched.

"Elo, done cleaning?" Hardcastle happened to be coming upstairs and saw her standing in the doorway of her room, so she came over and asked.

"Well, done cleaning." Eloise turned her head and smiled at her.

"Come downstairs then, don't stand here."

Hardcastle was afraid that if Earlene came back and saw her still upstairs, she would get angry and then implicate herself. "Good."

Eloise closed the door softly.

It was towards evening when Earlene and Hector returned.

As soon as they entered, Earlene asked, "Has the room been cleaned?"

The housekeeper hastily responded, "All cleaned as you ordered."

Earlene nodded in satisfaction, "That's good."

As soon as Eloise heard that Hector was back, she couldn't resist running out for a moment.

She hadn't seen him all day and her mind was drowning her with longing.

But no sooner had one reached the kitchen door than Hardcastle pulled her back.

"What are you doing there?" Hardcastle tightened his eyebrows, examining her suspiciously.

Eloise calmed down instantly and laughed dryly, "Nothing."

With that, she went back to the sink to continue washing the dishes she hadn't finished earlier.

Hardcastle followed, admonishing, "Don't you forget the lady doesn't like you in her presence, you'd better not knowingly do that before you get everyone involved." Eloise tugged her lips up, "Well, I know."

Hardcastle looked her up and down before turning to go about her business.

Eloise stared at the current, her thin eyebrows wrinkling, she couldn't stop her from wanting to see Hector just because Earlene didn't like her. She had to replace a way to see Hector.

Her eyes swept over the washed parsley at the sink and a quick glint of light passed through her eyes, the corners of her mouth curling slowly. She knew what to do.

In the evening, the Rawlins returned.

Earlene and Hector were just sitting down for dinner.

As soon as he entered the dining room, he spoke up and asked, "Did you go to the hospital today?"

Earlene didn't look up, but said "yes" in a cold tone.

Rawlins was used to her attitude and pulled out the chair opposite her and sat down, looking at Hector with concern, "Are you getting used to living here?" Hector nodded, "Used to it."

"That's good." Rawlins looked around, "By the way, didn't I get some new maids? How come I don't see any?"

"They're all busy." The butler at one side of the room responded in a voice.

Rawlins nodded and looked at Hector, "Of the new maids, I've chosen a more resourceful one to look after you.

"Look after me?" Hector turned his head to look at Earlene, his brow furrowed, "No, there's no maid to look after me."

"No?" Rawlins cast a puzzled look towards the butler.

Wasn't this something he had specifically explained?

The butler touched his gaze and immediately lowered his head, returning truthfully, "Miss said she didn't need one, so I didn't arrange for anyone."

At that moment, Earlene's cold voice rang out in the large dining room, "Hector will be fine with me looking after him, don't bother."

At this, Rawlins frowned, "Earlene, do you have to be so insensitive? Didn't I just want to make it easier for you?"

"I appreciate your kindness."

Earlene didn't want to continue on this topic and simply changed the subject, "Let's eat."

Rawlins saw the way she looked like she didn't want to talk to him much, and an unspoken emotion welled up in his heart.

At what point would she let go of her preconceptions about him?

Halfway through the meal, Hector suddenly asked, "Why is there cilantro in the soup?"

Everyone looked into his bowl and when they saw the cilantro floating on top of the soup, Rawlins raised an eyebrow, "You don't eat cilantro?" "It's not that I don't eat it, I don't like it." Hector looked disgusted.

Earlene turned her head and shot a stern look at the butler, "Who prepared the meal tonight?"

"It was the man in the kitchen who prepared it." The housekeeper suddenly had a bad feeling.

It couldn't be that this had something to do with Elo again, could it?

At that moment, Rawlins said, "Butler, get everyone from the kitchen."

The housekeeper looked at Earlene subconsciously, said "Yes" and turned to the kitchen.

When she heard Rawlins ask the kitchen staff to leave, a look of joy crossed Eloise's face.

At last, she could see Hector.

She followed Hardcastle and the others to the dining room, her eyes flicking up to look at Hector.

The moment she saw him, her heart was immediately soothed after a long day of uncertainty.

Rawlins' eyes swept over the people standing in front of him, pausing on Eloise for a few more seconds before moving away.

And Earlene's eyes narrowed as she saw Eloise, her expression colder by a few moments.

"Who made the soup tonight?" Rawlins asked in a hushed voice.

Several of the Hardcastle men turned their heads towards Eloise.

Eloise raised her own hand, "Prince, I made the soup."

Rawlins didn't expect it to be her either and froze before responding and asking again, "Don't you know that Prince Hector doesn't eat cilantro?"

"No cilantro?" Eloise was stunned, then knew what was going on and hurriedly lowered her head, nervously explaining, "I'm sorry, I didn't know Prince Hector doesn't eat cilantro. If I had known, I wouldn't have added cilantro to the soup." Rawlins sighed, "Then watch out from now on and don't make that mistake again."

"Good." Eloise nodded.

"Go on down."

Turning to leave, Eloise looked over at Hector, only to replace him looking at her as well. Those eyes were as deep and dark as ever.
