Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1604: Topsy-turvy

During the meal, Hector got up, raised his glass and said to the Khan family, "Thank you all so much for helping Eloise and me this time. I'd like to propose a toast to you all." Edgar couldn't help but laugh, "We haven't even thanked you for your help with the Khan family, and you're being polite to us?"

"Edgar's right, Hector, are you being unkind to us?" Baggott chimed in.

Hector grinned, "I'm grateful, but I'd like to say something."

Rupert followed suit, "Yes, my sister-in-law and my brother, to have everyone's blessing and for the two families to be on such good terms is a rare blessing." At these words, everyone burst into laughter.

The family dinner was a joyful and heartwarming affair.

Once the dinner was over and Hector had settled Eloise and the two children, he went back to his study, where he had an important matter to attend to.

He stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in his study, looking at the lights in the distance, pondered for a moment, took out his mobile phone and dialed a number.

The person on the other end of the line quickly picked up, his clear voice still a little impatient, "I say, Hector, do you know what time it is? And what is it you want to see me about?

Because I've helped you out a few times, do you think we're friends who can call in the middle of the night? Talk to me, don't disturb my rest!"

Hector ignored his long-winded rant and said very directly, "Joaquin, the virus in Eloise's body is solved."

Joaquin, on the other end of the line, sat up from his bed, his voice a little excited and trembling with disbelief, "What did you say? What happened to Eloise's virus?" "She's recovered." Hector said calmly once more.

"Oh, so, Hector are you bragging to me? Showing off that you saved Eloise?"

Joaquin heard such a calm tone from him, a stark contrast to the excitement he had just felt, and for a moment was a little offended again, his tone cooling a little.

"You misunderstand." Hector's tone was muted, not a single rise or fall could be heard.

"So, what exactly are you calling this number to say?"

"Although there is an antidote to this virus, at the moment, only Eloise has been completely cured. When Bergerian first created this virus, it was experimented on many people, and most of this group has died."

The words, which fell on Joaquin's ears, were full of impact. It was something he had been aware of, but, suffering from the fact that there was nothing he could do to change anything.

There were simply too many innocent people in this affair.

"So?" Joaquin asked dully.

"Now that Eloise has been healed, others might be able to as well. I'll give you all the research information I can, and you arrange the follow up and make the best of it." Hector said.

"This is from your research, don't you want to bail out under the name of the Institute or Rogers Group? As far as I know, several groups have combined to screw you before, so why don't you take this opportunity to make Rogers Group's reputation even better?" Joaquin was a little puzzled.

"No, the original reason for developing this drug was to save lives, not to enhance the reputation."

At this, Joaquin could not help but admire his breadth of mind and was somewhat annoyed with himself.

He couldn't help but say, "OK, I promise you, I'll ask my superiors first thing in the morning."

Hector said "yes" and was about to hang up the phone when Joaquin said, "Hector, I respect you as a man of the world. What you did will benefit a lot of people, and I know you don't care about fame, but I'd like to say thank you on their behalf."

"Pretentious."

Hector threw out those words and dropped the phone.

"Hector!" gritted Joaquin, yelling angrily into the phone with a look of displeasure!
