Love Comes To Me
Chapter 724: Ominous Signs

"Good, I'll wait for Solomon then." Eloise rubbed his head and smiled softly.

With that Eloise turned and left, hailed a taxi and took off in the dust.

Hector stands at the floor-to-ceiling window in a casual black suit, hands in his trouser pockets, eyes deep in the direction of Eloise's departure.

The warmth of the sun shone on his body, dispelling the coldness that surrounded him.

When he didn't move, Solomon glanced at Hector suspiciously and called out, "Daddy? Mummy's gone."

Hector looked back down at Solomon and smiled gently, "Well, Daddy knows."

On the other hand, Eloise paid and got out of the car, stepped into the hospital lift, and took out her phone to check the internet in a hundred different ways. With a ding, the lift doors opened and Eloise looked up and stepped out.

But there is something vaguely unsettling in the mind.

I don't think Rowson came last night...

Otherwise, without replaceing her, Rowson would have contacted her.

Looking through the phone's records, there was nothing about Rowson either.

Thinking about it, he walked to the door of the ward.

A female nurse is seen sweeping the floor with her head down.

Eloise hadn't been paying attention, but when she walked in, she saw the nurse wearing a mask and frowned slightly.

--How come it's a new face?

She couldn't help but feel a little puzzled.

The nurse looked up at her and gave a slight nod as a greeting.

Eloise nodded politely, although she wondered, and then took off her shoes and lay down on the hospital bed.

Her attention had been on the nurse and she always felt that something was wrong.

Only after seeing the nurse finish her work did she look up slightly and ask, "You don't seem to be the same person as before, where is the original nurse? Why did you change so quickly?" The nurse took the broom out as if she hadn't heard Eloise speak.

Eloise frowned, but didn't think much of it.

I was ready to catch up on some sleep, and before I could lie down, the nurse who had gone out had turned back in.

"Is Miss Eloise going to bed?"

The nurse spoke softly and added, "Just went to put the broom away."

Eloise shook her head, took two pillows and leaned them against her back, explaining, "I thought you had something to do, so I thought I'd get some sleep."

The nurse is not afraid to move the chair directly in front of Eloise's bed.

With the mask off she looks exceptionally beautiful, with a western face.

She sat on Eloise's bed and smiled in answer to the question just asked, "The previous nurse has been transferred to another ward and there are other things she needs to do, now it's my turn to look after you, my name is Katerina." Before the words were out of her mouth she held out her hand and smiled kindly.

Eloise didn't mind, reaching out for a handshake and smiling slightly, her cheeks curling into dimples, "Hi, I'm Eloise."

She already had a beautiful voice, but now she was sick and her voice was a little husky, which made it even more appealing. "Miss Eloise has such a beautiful voice."

Katerina complimented generously, with a generous and decent smile on her face.

Eloise smiled shyly because of the compliment, "Miss Katerina is beautiful, I'm going to have to trouble you these days."

There was still some inner doubt, though, that a woman like Katerina should not be reduced to the point of being a nurse.

Looking at the way she dressed and the way she spoke, she in no way looked like a child of an ordinary family.

But it was not for her to manage either.

The sunlight slanting in from the window outlines Eloise's perfect silhouette.

Katerina stood up and smiled, "I should have done it."

Then went out and fetched the medicine in, drew in the syringe and expelled the air before explaining to Eloise, "It's anti-inflammatory, a shot today will help with recovery."

Her face didn't look as playful as it had just been and her face took on a serious expression.

Eloise knew the wound was inflaming and, without much thought, held out her white arm.

Her eyes looked at the syringe and subconsciously squeezed her eyes shut, hiding all her fears underneath.

Within ten seconds, Katerina put the syringe away straight away and said in a nice voice, "There you go." She moved so quickly that Eloise didn't feel the pain at all.

I can't help but inquire in confusion, "That's good?"

The new nurse is so skilled?

She doesn't even feel it ...

Eloise glanced at Katerina incredulously, and a deep admiration came out of her eyes.

Probably embarrassed by her look, Katerina laughed out loud, those big, deep eyes blinking slightly.

"In my internship days, I mostly studied injections going in, so a lot of people complimented me on the fact that it didn't hurt at all when I did it." "So." Eloise nodded.

"I'll go out first then." Katerina spoke and turned to leave.

As she walked to the door, the corners of her mouth curled lightly in an extremely wicked smile.

The room smelled of sterile water.

Eloise frowned and twisted her head to lift her eyes to look out the window.

The room is well exposed to the sun and is blocked by a large tree just in front of the window.

The dense foliage shades out the strong sunlight, and the sunlight coming through is much gentler.

Abruptly, the phone rang, pulling her thoughts back.

Dropping his head, it was the phone he was holding in his hand that rang.

Glancing at the contact, it was Hector.

There is a small stirring at the back of my heart.

Sliding down the answer button, he answered in a low voice, "Hello?"

The other party was silent for a moment before speaking, "Get to the hospital, I guess."

"Well, it's been a while."

"Have you checked all the daily checks that should be done?"

"Done, had an anti-inflammatory shot today."

The two men were just chatting away, and suddenly, they both fell silent.

The air almost froze and just as Eloise thought the other party had hung up, another voice came from the other end of the phone. "It's nothing serious, is it?"

The voice was husky but with a strong note of concern.

Eloise felt her heart skip a few beats in that moment, but she continued to respond calmly.

"Nothing's wrong, don't worry."

"Hmm."

At the end of the sentence, Hector, standing in front of the window, hung up the phone and stared ahead with dark eyes.

His right eyelid was throbbing and he had a feeling that something bad was happening.

That's why I called Eloise to ask.

He was relieved that it was okay, but he just wondered if the signs were more than he had thought.

After hanging up the phone, Eloise was bored and took a nap.

Faintly hearing a movement in my sleep, I struggled to open my eyelids and was greeted by Sweety's enlarged doll's face.

Sleepiness, instantly gone.

"Sweety, there you are."

She sounded a little agitated, and Rowson, who was sitting on one side of the room, sniffed and hurriedly stood up and walked next to her. "Take it easy, be careful of pulling the wound."

The clear, elegant voice carried a hint of detachment.
