Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 738: It's good that you're not crying
But the press conference he held yesterday was too swift.
Like a foresight, he instantly thought of a response strategy.
Ignoring the look on Eloise's face, Rowson proposed, "If everyone has decided, then let's take a vote and see if those who agree to terminate the partnership can raise their hands." The executives and shareholders sitting around expressed the idea of terminating the cooperation.
Rowson scanned the circle, a vague smirk on his lips.
His eyes fell on Eloise and there was a pause.
Eloise sensed something, and she raised her eyes slightly, looking at Rowson with obscure eyes, feeling only a slight dullness in her chest.
There is a vague sense that something is hiding underneath the matter, blinding everyone.
The thought of the situation on Hector's side was a little disturbing.
Before Rowson could say anything, she got up silently and walked out of the conference room.
The backbone is straight, but looks, well, slightly strained.
Out of the conference room, Eloise returned to her office.
So much had happened in the twinkling of an eye that Eloise hadn't gotten over it for a while.
Reflecting on what had just happened, Eloise couldn't help but rub her temples, her mood growing more and more irritable.
This is now a situation that each of them did not want to be in.
It would indeed be a good option for the Darlington Group if the partnership were to be terminated now.
The termination of the partnership is nothing more than a way of minimising the adverse impact on the Darlington Group.
From the standpoint of the shareholders, there was no excuse for choosing to terminate the partnership and stop the losses in time, and Eloise had nothing to say. Only, again, she was a little uncomfortable with Hector.
Today they are already on the cusp of a storm, and if they were to terminate their cooperation at this time, the impact on them would certainly be particularly severe. Eloise's heart blames itself for the fact that she had been in charge of this project.
But now that something has gone wrong, there is nothing she can do or help Hector in the face of the shareholders' decisions.
After thinking for a while, Eloise looked at the papers on her desk and knew that she couldn't just sit there and wait. After finishing the task at hand, she got up with the intention of making a trip to JS Group.
It was a project she was responsible for, and even if it was terminated outright, she had to have a say on both sides. Especially for Hector's side.
Sitting in the taxi, looking out the window at the scenery speeding past, Eloise couldn't help but clench her fists.
The car soon arrived at JS Group, and when she got out, she glanced at the tall and magnificent building in front of her and couldn't help but feel suffocated in her heart. Eloise went upstairs and stood in front of Hector's office, taking a deep breath before raising her hand and knocking on the door.
The voice coming from within was a little husky, "Come in."
Pushing the door open, Eloise saw him standing at the window, his back forlorn and a little lonely.
No one knows how much weight and responsibility Hector carries on his shoulders.
The person who entered did not speak for a long time and Hector turned back with a slight frown.
But at the sight of her, his brow loosened momentarily again, and there was a doting look in his eyes that was reserved for her, envious of the others.
Seeing the remorse and hesitation in Eloise's eyes, she probably guessed what she had asked to come to her for.
"It's my fault for creating the situation we have today, I'm really sorry."
As she said this, Eloise lowered her eyes slightly, not even daring to look at him, her heart full of guilt.
In fact, whether the incident is related to Eloise or not, Hector doesn't blame her.
Whoever else would have chosen to simply cut off their cooperation with this side.
This is always the case in business.
There is no such thing as a friend or brother, and all the hush-hush is based on profit.
"I know, I get it, you don't have to apologise to me."
Hector was a little distressed that she looked like this and stroked her head to comfort her.
"I feel really guilty, but I don't know what I can do right now."
Eloise's eyes reddened slightly as the words left her mouth.
Seeing this, Hector took her into his arms and said softly, "It's okay, it's not your fault and it has nothing to do with you, you don't have to care so much, you don't need to take it to heart, understand? I'll take care of it, eh?" Hector was distressed to see Eloise in this state.
Even the trickiest of things will have a solution.
He also didn't want the incident to affect the relationship between the two men.
All the things he was still holding up, there was no need to involve her in them.
He only hoped that the girl in his arms would be safe and happy.
Listening to the steady beat of his heart in his arms, Eloise felt a reassurance she hadn't felt in a long time.
After adjusting her emotions, Eloise stepped back from his arms, seeing his clean white shirt wet with her tears, Eloise gave him a slightly embarrassed look.
Hector followed her eyes and smiled, "It's okay, it's good that you're not crying."
Suddenly, Eloise felt all her exhaustion dissipate in a single moment.
This feeling was also only present when Hector was around her.
Thinking that Hector had a lot to attend to, Eloise and he chatted for a while longer and left.
Walking out of the JS Group, Eloise felt that what had been weighing on her mind just a moment ago had now disappeared and her whole being relaxed somewhat. Hector always gave her the feeling that even if the sky was falling, as long as he was there, there was nothing to worry about.
It was getting dark and Eloise looked out of the window, everything was still the same as before.
A bustling market with traffic and traffic.
Everyone is running for their lives and no one knows what will happen tomorrow.
She didn't bother to take another taxi and planned to walk back, having not taken a proper walk for a long time.
The gentle breeze on the cheeks is extraordinarily pleasant.
By the time she returned home, she had broken into a thin layer of sweat.
As soon as she opened the door to her home, she was caught a little off guard by the sight of Rowson standing inside. Perhaps because of what had happened in the past two days, Eloise instinctively wanted to run away when she saw him. However, there was no room for her to hide, and Rowson was waiting for Eloise.
It was clear to him that Eloise was capable of separating public from private when it came to her work.
He was still worried that Eloise would not feel good about the fact that it was, after all, a project she was responsible for. Rowson didn't want the two men to get rusty because of this incident.
Still, his mood sank momentarily when he realised that Eloise was avoiding him somewhat.
Seeing that she wasn't going to talk to herself, Rowson took the initiative and spoke up, "Eloise."
Eloise pursed her lips, "What's wrong?"
The feet felt as if they had been filled with lead, and they didn't move there.
Rowson walked over to himself towards Eloise, and the two men locked eyes in a meaningful way. "Will you blame me if I do?"
He didn't have a clue what he was saying, but Eloise understood what he was asking almost instantly. It is a project with the JS Group.
