Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 796: He's scared
Rowson hadn't seen Eloise for so many days and was a little worried about her health.
Counting the minutes, it was time for her to take her medication, and if she didn't, I was afraid something might go wrong.
Worried that Eloise wouldn't come, he played the sentimental card again, "My parents and the others, they've been talking about you and Sweety lately, and they'd be disappointed if you didn't come." At the mention of Mrs Darlington and Mr. Darlington Sr, Eloise could not say no again.
The two old men just wanted to meet her and kept pushing her away, rather than appearing to be very ungrateful.
"Yes, I'll go back."
Only when he heard Eloise's promise to come down did Rowson hang up the phone.
Eloise stayed in the bathroom for a while longer before going out, and as soon as she opened the door, she saw Hector standing outside.
"You're awake?" She was mildly surprised.
Hector was in much better spirits after a good night's sleep.
Although his hair was slightly dishevelled and his beard unshaven, he looked much better than he did after a late night.
Hector saw her with her phone and asked casually, "Who are you talking to on the phone? It took so long to call."
He actually woke up when Eloise came out of his arms.
At first I was waiting in bed, and after waiting for a long time and not seeing her come out, I thought I would come and have a look.
Not wanting to hide anything from him, Eloise told Hector about the appointment she was going to tonight.
"Yes, take Solomon and Sweety with you, I can't see the two little ones being separated for a while now."
Hector actually agreed to it quite simply.
Eloise gave him an unexpected look; she had expected Hector to say no.
Seeing the surprise in her eyes, Hector smiled and asked, "What, thought I'd keep you from going?" "No."
Eloise averted her eyes, not daring to admit that she was thinking that.
Hector reached out and stroked her head, saying blandly, "As long as you don't leave me, I won't stop you from doing whatever you want." The words in a doting tone caused Eloise's face to blush again instantly, throwing down, "You hurry up and wash up and come down for dinner." And fled the bedroom in general.
Looking at her back as she fled, the corners of Hector's mouth couldn't help but curl up.
At 5pm Eloise showed up at the Darlington family with Solomon and Sweety, together.
"Hello grandparents."
Solomon and Sweety were immediately well behaved and called out as soon as they entered the door.
Mr. Darlington SrMrs Darlington's heart melted at the sight of these adorable children and she couldn't care less about being angry with Eloise.
Mrs Darlington, in particular, seems to have forgotten the purpose of calling Eloise back today.
"Hatchell, go and wash some fruit out."
Mrs Darlington hurriedly greeted the maid, sat the two children down again and turned on the TV for them to watch.
The kitchen was still cooking and Mrs Darlington, fearing that Solomon and Sweety would be hungry, said, "Have some fruit first and we'll be ready to eat soon." "Grandma, it's okay, we're not hungry." Solomon reassured Mrs Darlington in turn.
When she saw how well Solomon behaved, Mrs Darlington could only blame herself for not being blessed with such an obedient grandchild.
She stroked Solomon's head and gave a silent sigh.
Rowson, who was silent on the sidelines, kept staring at Eloise with a madness in his eyes that he could hardly restrain.
By the time Eloise looked over, he had changed back to his usual appearance.
Not long after, the meal was served.
The family gathered around the table, eating a steaming meal and chatting about very everyday topics.
Mrs Darlington, seeing that the mood was better, spoke up and asked Eloise, "Eloise, would you like some wine?"
"No need for that, Mom."
Eloise smiled and turned down Mrs Darlington..
Seeing this, Rowson smiled and said, "Mum, Eloise's not fit to drink, it's better to have a drink."
He looked to Eloise inquiringly and when Eloise nodded, he went and got a glass and poured her a glass of orange juice.
Eloise, who happened to be thirsty, took it and thanked him, bowing her head and taking a sip.
Rowson watched her drink it down, his eyes darkening slightly as he gave her some more food and said softly, "Eat more food."
"Thanks." Eloise smiled at him.
Rowson's smile faded a little, and Eloise kept thanking him this time, as if she was very much at odds with him.
Afterwards, there was some other conversation, and Mrs Darlington intended to mention the two, but was pulled back by Mr. Darlington Sr.
It was a nice meal, and bringing up those things made everyone unhappy.
But Mrs Darlington didn't feel too good about being rejected and Sweety, seeing this, struggled to get a chicken leg from her bowl into Mrs Darlington's bowl. The little dumpling said in a milky voice, "Grandma eats chicken legs."
Mrs Darlington was in a good mood as she rubbed Sweety's hair and said, "Sweety is a good girl."
After eating and sitting for a while, Eloise decided that the purpose of her return for the evening had been achieved and she intended to get up and say goodbye.
Mrs Darlington was very reluctant to leave and said, "Why don't you stay here for the night, you and the children are so hard to come back to."
Seeing Mrs Darlington's reluctant eyes, Eloise's heart didn't feel good either.
But she is in a different position now, with Solomon in tow, and it would certainly be inappropriate for her to live with the Darlington family.
But now she couldn't say no, she just couldn't bear to watch the light go out in Mrs Darlington's eyes.
As she hesitated, Solomon said smartly, "Darlington Grandmother, we promised Daddy we'd be home today and didn't want to worry him, so we'll just have to say sorry to you for now and we'll see you next time."
Solomon was so good at talking that Mrs Darlington couldn't force them to stay any longer and hurriedly said, "Hey, you're too good a boy to know better, well, then Grandma will be waiting for your next visit, so don't forget." Sweety nodded vigorously and said glumly, "We won't forget! Sweety will miss her grandparents too."
Mrs Darlington wiped the corners of her eyes and hugged Sweety hard.
Rowson had been watching coldly and was a little disappointed to see that his mother had not been able to keep Eloise, but his face did not show it.
Just speak up and say, "I'll see you off."
With that he took a step out, and just as he was about to collect his car, he saw another figure waiting at the door. "It's Daddy!"
On seeing Hector, both Solomon and Sweety ran straight over to him.
Over here Rowson's steps stopped straight away, looking at the harmony of a few people, he was really redundant ...
Rowson's form was motionless, the moonlight spilling out through the clouds, illuminating the sombre look on his face with exceptional clarity.
Rowson's grip on the palm of his hand slowly loosened as he watched Hector's car move away.
The Rogers Villa and the Darlington family are not far apart and the car was parked firmly in front of the Rogers Villa in no time.
After Eloise had changed the shoes of the two little ones, Hector suddenly hugged her from behind.
Eloise, whose body froze instantly.
Luckily, he didn't intend to hold her for long, only to bury his head in the back of her neck, take a deep breath and let go.
Turning to take her hand, she returned to the room.
Eloise saw a hint of unease in his eyes, and the thought of pulling her hand out of his grasp was instantly gone.
For she found that the man was in fear.
Did he say he was afraid she would stay with the Darlington family and not come back?
