Love Comes To Me
Chapter 872: I want my mommy!

Almeida and Sener are at Eloise's bedside, one left and one right.

Hector was also in no mood to continue with the company's business and looked at Eloise with almost unblinking eyes.

The sudden onset of a high fever was very difficult for Eloise.

She felt as if her whole body had been split in two, one half in a furnace and the other half in a cellar of ice.

A cold sweat ran down her back, almost soaking the nightgown she was wearing.

Looking at Eloise, who seemed to be uncomfortable no matter how she was lying, Hector couldn't have been more distressed.

But such things are not to be expected, and he could only suppress his emotions and ask as calmly as possible, "Will there be any after-effects?"

Almeida and Sener looked at each other.

"It shouldn't be too much of a problem at the moment."

Almeida was the first to come out and explain, afraid that Hector did not believe him, he thought for a moment and added: "The virus in her body itself is very aggressive, and we developed a drug to inhibit the virus, the two drugs in her body repel each other, which naturally triggered the problem of her body's resistance to decline."

Hector nodded his head in understanding.

The simple fact is that Eloise won't be a big deal, but the fever will have to come down soon.

"Hector ..."

Eloise's lips, bloodless from the fever, moved, and an extremely faint voice sounded.

Hector strides over to the bed and leans down to take her hot little hand in his, softly answering her, "Eloise, I'm here." "I'm so hot."

"It's fine, it's fine after a while."

Hector leaned over and whispered reassuringly to Eloise.

Immediately, the maid was instructed to bring a basin of cold water from the washroom.

Soak the towel in water, wring it out and place it flat on Eloise's forehead, which is at a different temperature than usual.

All he could think of was this physical cooling method.

Eloise's brow, which had been tightly furrowed, eased away as she seemed to get a cooler feeling.

When Sener saw this, he thought that this might only be temporary relief and turned to the table where the medicine chest was kept and rummaged around with his head down. Almeida went along and even discussed with him which medication should be used to stabilise Eloise's current temperature and minimise the side effects.

Finally Almeida took a small packet of the fever-reducing medicine that had been prepared and handed it to Hector.

Sener, meanwhile, took a syringe and injected the clear liquid inside into the dangling bottle inside Eloise.

"These are the ones that will help her condition, this potent fever reducer with few side effects."

Hector took it and gently coaxed. He coaxed Eloise to drink it.

Although the three have been very careful to take care of it.

But Eloise still burned the whole night.

It was only towards dawn that Eloise's temperature, aided by medication, gradually came down.

And Almeida, who had stayed up almost the whole night, was still sitting in front of the pile of medical instruments, concentrating on her observations. Sener didn't dare to take it lightly and kept watching Eloise.

It was a relief to make sure she wouldn't burn up again and again.

Hector, who had also stayed up all night, was in the house to take care of the company's business all together.

Sener took the needle out of the back of Eloise's hand, which had already finished its drip.

He dropped the sling into the bin and then said to Hector, "Miss Eloise will probably be out for the next two days or so, as she will be a bit weak."

It's also a precautionary shot for Hector so that he doesn't get anxious if Eloise doesn't wake up in the next two days.

With a slight frown on his sword, Hector asked, "What is the current status of the virus in Eloise's body?"

His greatest fear was that the virus would go unchecked.

"The virus in her system has been suppressed, but we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see exactly what happens."

Almeida replied in a brisk tone.

That's good news of sorts.

Hector nodded gently, glancing at the greenish-black mass under Almeida and Sener's eyelids, and instructed directly. "You guys go rest in the guest room next door, I'll take care of Eloise." Almeida and Sener didn't dare to go too far, so they rested in a guest room off to the side.

Only when you are well rested will you be able to focus more on treating your patients.

There is also some time before complete dawn.

Hector simply stayed by Eloise's bedside, gazing at her pale, snowy face.

The whole day went by without a hitch.

To avoid Sweety being a nuisance to Eloise, Hector tries to have the housekeeper and maid take the play with him.

As soon as Almeida and Sener woke up, they ran straight to the house where Eloise was and observed her health. Wait until the next morning.

Almeida and Sener then set about giving Eloise a thorough examination.

Half an hour later, the two men stood together, looking at the report in their hands, which was printed in a dense font.

"All Miss Eloise's health indicators are normal, so you don't have to worry about it."

Almeida breathed a long sigh of relief and handed the report to Hector for him to look at.

Hector took the report and read it intently, while Sener stepped aside to answer the questions for him where it didn't move.

Hector's brow, which had been knitted for the past two days, relaxed a little as he confirmed that Eloise was safe and sound. "Good work guys."

"Daddy!"

Suddenly, milky voices came from the next bedroom, with a little cry.

Hector instructed AlmeidaSener to keep an eye on Eloise before turning and striding into Sweety's bedroom.

Sweety would have woken up by now.

When she saw that her mummy was not around and her daddy was not there, she burst into tears of sadness. When he saw Hector, he climbed out of bed and ran over with his little legs thumping out his little hands. "Daddy, I want Mummy! Sweety wants Mummy!"

Sweety was missing Eloise after not seeing her all day yesterday.

Hector patiently picks up the fractious little girl and cradles her in his arms, patting her back soothingly.

"Sweety be good, mummy is sick. If Sweety still talks so loudly, it will disturb Mummy's rest and then Mummy will be even less able to stay with you, okay?" "But, but Sweety misses Mummy so much."

Sweety still has teardrops in the corners of her eyes, which look endearing.

"Mummy has just had her injection and needs to rest."

Hector said softly.

Sweety deflated and took another step back, talking to him in a milky voice, "Then daddy, will you take me to see mummy, Sweety will not wake her up."
