Love Comes To Me
Chapter 873: Tattletale

Hector was amused by Sweety's consultative tone of voice.

I couldn't bear to deny her this request, so I had to carry her into the bedroom where Eloise was.

Sweety's little brow furrowed at the sight of Eloise as she lay in bed.

"Daddy, is Mummy having a hard time?"

The little girl put one hand over her lips and whispered an enquiry up.

It's hard when she's sick and has to have injections, not to mention how uncomfortable it is.

Hector nodded and replied in a lowered voice like hers, "Yeah, so can Sweety promise Daddy that she'll let Mummy rest?" The little girl agreed with great understanding.

After breakfast, the little girl nestled nicely in Hector's arms.

Over the next two days while Eloise was in a coma, Hector took care of all the company handovers as well.

Sweety and AlmeidaSener both play together.

Luckily, Eloise's health is fine and the two of them are taking turns to play with Sweety.

It kind of helped Hector share some of the load.

Eloise awoke on the afternoon of the second day of her coma, her fingers twitching slightly.

This one small gesture caught the eye of Hector who had been watching her.

He was instantly nervous and called for Almeida and Sener, just in case something went wrong again.

"Well ..."

Eloise grunted and propped herself up against her groggy head as she opened her eyes.

This movement pulled on the syringe still stuck in the back of her hand, and a stinging sensation came through.

Hector leaned down and wrapped his arms around her, "Eloise, you're finally awake."

The raspy voice was thick with exhaustion, and Eloise inclined her head to see that Hector, who had not rested properly for two days, looked a little haggard at the moment, with greenish stubble growing on his jaw. Those obsidian eyes shone brightly, reflecting her cheeks with delight and care.

"Miss Eloise, can you lie down again? We'll check your body for you."

At Almeida's words, Eloise nods and lies back down again, but her eyes are glued to Hector's body, not wanting to move away from it.

She seemed to vaguely remember her fever.

How did Hector wake up so haggard again?

"Mummy! Sweety and Daddy are worried about you."

The little girl had come with the Almeida duo, and when she saw Eloise's eyes open, she stood by the bed and expressed her thoughts with gusto. Almeida gave Eloise a thorough full body check-up.

"Miss Eloise is no longer in serious physical condition."

Hearing these words, Hector's heart, which had been in his throat for the past two days, could finally be put back in his stomach.

Almeida and Sener both had the good sense to pack up their things and leave.

They didn't want to stay and be a two hundred and fifty watt light bulb, not to mention being dumped in the face with dog food. "Hector, have I been asleep for a long time?"

As soon as the two were gone, Eloise sat up impatiently and took Hector's warm, dry palm in question.

Hector sat down next to Eloise and wrapped his long arms around her in a full embrace.

"You were out for two days, but there's nothing wrong with that anymore."

Eloise was also stunned to learn that she had been unconscious for two days, and she looked up to gaze at Hector's haggard face.

There was still a lingering tiredness in his brow.

Even without having to ask, she could guess that he must not have rested properly in the past two days, but had stayed by her side every inch of the way. She was both moved and heartbroken.

"Hector, I'm sorry to have worried you."

Eloise reached out and wrapped her arms around Hector's strong, lean waist and pressed her face against his chest in a muffled apology.

Hector smiled softly as he lifted his other hand and slowly stroked her hair.

"As long as you're well, it's better than anything."

For him, Eloise was his life.

He would rather lose his own life than see the slightest thing happen to her.

"Mummy, Sweety wants a hug too!"

The little girl who had been ignored instantly walked up to the two men in discontent, raising both her little arms in protest.

"Yes!"

Eloise turned around with the intention of taking the little girl into her arms.

Only to be snatched up by a distraught Hector who picked up the little girl and cradled her in his arms all together.

Sweety turned around and got into Eloise's arms, wrapped her arms around her waist and started to complain, "Mummy, I'm telling you, Daddy hasn't been eating and sleeping for the past two days!" "Okay, Mummy will teach him a lesson."

Having said that, Eloise gave a deliberately fierce expression and looked up at Hector.

But the moment he met his gaze, his heart softened.

"Hector, since I'm all right, how about you go and get some sleep first? I'll cook something delicious for you tonight myself."

She said to Hector in a coaxing tone of voice.

Hector was also really tired and after a few seconds of thought, he agreed to come down.

Once he had settled down to sleep, Eloise led Sweety out of the bedroom and mother and daughter stayed in the living room watching TV together.

Sweety also shared with her the events of the past two days, not forgetting to add a final note.

"Mummy, why don't you play with Sweety all day today."

Eloise, of course, nodded her head in response without hesitation.

After playing with the little girl until late afternoon, Eloise set about preparing the ingredients for dinner.

Sweety also yelled that she wanted to help Mummy make dinner for Daddy.

Eloise couldn't resist the little girl's enthusiasm, so she simply handed out some vegetables and sent her off to choose them.

When Hector woke up and came downstairs, he saw a busy figure in the kitchen.

The table is already full of colourful and delicious dishes that are sure to please the palate.

"Eloise, let me help you."

Hector walked around the table into the kitchen, only to be shooed out again by Eloise, "Just wait and eat, and by the way, go and keep Sweety company." Hector had no choice but to turn around and sit next to Sweety on the sofa again, watching cartoons with her.

A quarter of an hour later, Eloise brought the last of the desserts to the table before greeting the father and daughter pair as they came over to eat.

A family of three sitting at the dinner table.

Sweety couldn't wait to pick up a large chicken leg and take a bite, giving Eloise a thumbs up as she ate, "Mummy, it's delicious!"

Eloise laughed at the compliment.

The family was happily finishing dinner when Solomon's phone call came in.

"Mummy and Daddy, are you there?"

Solomon's childish voice came across the phone and Sweety heard her brother's voice and rushed over to him.

Some distance away he shouted, "Brother!"

Eloise smiled and clicked on the speakerphone.

"Solomon, it's Mummy."

"Mummy, Daddy, Solomon has behaved himself."

Solomon on the other end was silent for a moment and seemed a little embarrassed as he asked, "So when are you guys coming back? I miss you guys so much!"

Eloise sniffed, smiled at each other and Hector and replied, "Solomon be good, Daddy and I will be back with my sister soon."

After talking to Solomon for a while longer, Eloise hung up the phone and scheduled a return with Hector for tomorrow.

Early the following morning.

Eloise and her family then boarded a plane for their return home.
