Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 885: We don't need this stuff
Hearing the doubt in Arlice's words, Farabee raised an eyebrow and said, "Of course it's true, I was told this by Hector's personal assistant, but Hector had a condition that he would meet with the head of the SA Group, Arlice, you see this......." As the words left his mouth, Arlice on the other end of the line fell into a deep thought.
After a long time, he made a decision, "It just so happens that the head of SA Group will be in the country in the next few days, so Hector can come to the capital and meet with him as the head of the partner group." "Okay, I'll tell Hector right now."
Hanging up the phone, Farabee didn't call Thomas again, but instead dialed Hector's number directly.
"Hector ah, the head of SA Group will be coming to the capital in the next few days, do you see when you have time to meet with him?"
Farabee didn't address Mr Hector, naturally, because she wanted to get close to him through the Eloise connection.
Hector smiled and thought for a moment, "Tomorrow, I'll go to Kyoto after I've finished here, and I'll ask Mr Farabee to contact the people at SA Group."
With Eloise at stake, he naturally did not delay.
"Hector, you don't have to be so rusty with me, we're all family. I'm free tomorrow too, so in that case, we might as well go back together." Farabee continued to get closer.
Hector didn't agree with him, "Mr Farabee is joking, the family Eloise identifies with is my family, I'll get my assistant to book the tickets, Mr Farabee can come along if he wants."
Although Hector did not say anything excessive, Farabee's face felt a little hot and she had to smile and say, "Then I will ask Mr Hector to ask his assistant to send me the flight number." "Well, I've got things to do, so I'll see you in the direction of the students."
Before Farabee could say anything else, Hector's side had simply hung up the phone.
Looking at the blacked out screen, Farabee couldn't help but clench her palms.
Hector dropped his phone on his desk, pondered for a moment, and then began to work on the pile of papers Thomas had just sent in.
In the evening, on his drive home, Hector stopped at the nearest sweet shop and picked out some of Sweety's favourite flavours before returning to Rogers Villa.
When Sweety saw Hector, she rushed over on her short legs and hugged his legs, exclaiming in a soft voice, "Daddy!"
"Good girl, Daddy's got cake for Sweety."
Hector said as he knelt down and handed Sweety the bag in his hand.
After getting the cake, the little girl left a slobber-filled kiss on Hector's cheek before pulling him towards the dining room.
Just in time for dinner.
As the Rogers family sat around the table, Rupert smiled and put a hand on Hector's shoulder, "Come on brother, we're just waiting for you."
When Hector sat down, Hector's mother brought over the simmering soup and placed it in front of Hector, "This is a good tonic soup, it's good for you and Eloise."
The implication was instantly clear to all present, and Eloise's cheeks instantly flushed as if they were dripping blood.
Seeing the blush on the little woman's face beside him, Hector picked up, "Mum, we don't need this stuff."
It was clearly a simple refusal, but several others tasted a different meaning.
No need for ...
It seems that these two are in harmony in one way or another.
A few people were holding back their laughter at first, but finally Rupert couldn't help himself and burst out laughing. Eloise hadn't thought much of it, but when she saw the smiles on their faces, her cheeks suddenly flushed another degree. Solomon and Sweety were the only two people on the sidelines, completely unaware of the situation.
However, looking at everyone's happy faces, the two little ones giggled along with them.
After dinner, Hector took Eloise for a walk in the courtyard, a rare moment of relaxation for them.
A gust of breeze hit Eloise's hair.
Hector reached out and smoothed her messy hair, "Eloise, I'm going to Kyoto tomorrow."
At that, Eloise looked up and asked, "Is it a business trip, why didn't I hear you say anything about it before?"
Hector hesitated and blurted out an excuse, "Well, there's a temporary problem with a project that requires me to come over."
He didn't tell her the truth, and if she knew, she would inevitably worry about something again.
With a look of reluctance on her face, Eloise wrapped her arms around his strong, thin waist and buried her head in his chest as she asked in a muffled voice, "So how long is it going to be?" Sensing Eloise's emotions, Hector took her by the shoulders and said, "Three days or so, I'll be back when it's done, be good."
At the words, Eloise didn't respond, but just hugged him harder and harder.
...
The following day, Hector woke up and gingerly got out of bed.
Unexpectedly, it still woke Eloise, who got up sleepily and walked over to Hector's side, her voice languid with the sound of a fresh sleep, instructing, "Come back early and be safe." "Don't worry, I will."
Leaving a kiss on her forehead, Hector washed up and left the room.
Arrived at the airport and met up with Farabee.
Farabee had a big smile on her face, "Hector, I've informed Arlice, he'll come and pick us up as soon as we get off the plane." "Hmm."
Hector returned the question lightly and headed straight for the waiting room.
Seeing this, Farabee rushed to follow, not giving an inch.
Once on the plane, Farabee intentionally tried to talk to Hector, but his seat, and Hector's, were not even in the same cabin. Seeing Hector's point, Farabee couldn't help but be a little offended.
However, one does not dare to show anything.
After all, this is a very critical time and if something goes wrong here at Hector, everything they have done will be undone.
...
City J and Kyoto are not far apart, two hours by car and even quicker by plane.
After a short flight, the aircraft touched down smoothly after a long contrail cloud in the sky.
Farabee couldn't wait to get to the cabin where Hector was and get off the plane with him.
When they left the airport, Arlice was waiting outside and when he saw Hector, he greeted him with a smile and said, "Mr Hector."
He said and held out his hand, but Hector did not return the handshake, but merely responded indifferently.
For a moment, Arlice's hand was left hanging in mid-air with a little embarrassment.
Seeing this, Farabee hastily pulled open the door of a car and greeted Hector as he got in.
Before closing the door, Farabee asked again with a smile on her face, "Hector, this is a bumpy flight, so we won't bother you to go back to the hotel and rest, I wonder if we could have dinner together later?" Hector's voice was light, "Later."
His attitude was ambiguous and Farabee couldn't push too hard, "This... is fine, so Hector you get some rest first."
With that said, Farabee explained to the driver to take Hector to the hotel.
Back at the Khan family, Farabee immediately made arrangements to book the best restaurant in Kyoto.
Even though Hector has not yet agreed, though, Farabee wants to get everything ready in advance.
At this point, Devona's side got wind that Hector and Farabee's side were getting closer and became anxious.
If Hector is pulled into Farabee's lineup, wouldn't they have no hope at all?
