Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 958: Is being close to the Rogers family a big deal?
Eloise's voice was a little cold, "I won't let him off the hook either."
Obviously all Khan family members, whether Arlice or Goode or Edgar, each gets a thumbs up.
Herrin is the only one who is "different".
He is in the news almost every day, one day it's this actress, the next it's that little model, there's never a repeat of the women around. Properly a dude.
A thought suddenly flashed through Eloise's mind as she thought about it.
She burst out laughing, softly.
Hector turned his head and glanced at her, seeing her giggling alone, he couldn't help but be infected by her, the corners of his lips turned up, "What are you laughing at, so happy?"
At the sound of her voice, Eloise turned her head to look at her, her eyes bright and particularly beautiful.
"I figured out how I'm going to teach Herrin a lesson." She said.
"Oh?" Hector raised an eyebrow, "How do you teach a lesson?"
"It's..."
Eloise was about to say, but the words immediately changed, "You'll know when the time comes, I'm not telling you now."
I don't think he was expecting her to say that, Hector visibly froze, but quickly reacted and let out a laugh, "Fine, if you don't say it, you don't say it."
With her little brain, it must be some kind of messed up idea again.
Eloise tilted her chin up and said with a little glee, "By then Herrin will be weeping bitterly and repenting for what happened tonight."
Just thinking about that scene made her want to laugh.
I don't know if she had a good idea or what, but at the moment she was glowing, her beautiful eyes shining like bright stars in a dark night, especially beautiful. The following day.
Eloise was woken up by the ringing of her mobile phone.
She heard the sound of rustling and getting up around her, followed by Hector's unique low voice: "What is it?"
In her daze, she couldn't really hear the rest, but there was one sentence she heard clearly.
"Okay, I'll go back now."
Her eyes suddenly opened and she sat up from the bed in a flash.
"You're going back to City J?"
Hector hung up the phone and turned back to her, his dark eyes gazing at her, and nodded, "Yeah."
"Then I'm with you."
Eloise lifted the covers and was about to get out of bed.
"You stay here." Hector stepped forward and stopped her, "There's something at work I need to get back to, I'll be over soon." "So... ..."
Eloise bit her lip and had to agree, "Okay, take care on your way then."
"Mmm." Hector lowered his head and kissed her gently on the lips, then raised his hand to caress her cheek, his brow gentle as water, "Wait for me." Eloise guffawed, "Good."
After breakfast, Eloise went straight to the hospital.
Instead, I was surprised to see the Devona family there.
"Eloise is here." Silvia greeted her enthusiastically as soon as she saw her.
Eloise was a little uncomfortable and forced a little smile, "Good morning, Second Uncle, Second Aunt."
"Have you eaten breakfast yet?" Silvia said, "If you haven't eaten, I've bought the best seafood porridge in all of Kyoto, so go and eat." "Thank you, second aunt, I've eaten."
Eloise walked over to her mother as she refused and lowered her voice to ask, "Mum, what are they doing here?"
Maryam glanced at Devona and the others, "Said he was here to apologise for Herrin."
An apology?
Eloise raised her eyebrows slightly and looked up at Devona and Silvia.
As soon as they saw her, their faces were immediately piled with smiles.
"Eloise," Devona called cautiously.
Eloise pursed her lips and straightened up, looking at them steadily, "Second aunt and uncle, if you're here about last night, then go back."
Mr and Mrs Devona were in a hurry, "No, Eloise, we've come to apologise to you in all sincerity."
Eloise laughed, "Aunt and Uncle, it wasn't you who made the mistake, it was Herrin, and it's him who should apologise." "This..."
Devona and Silvia looked at each other with a look of embarrassment on their faces.
If Herrin had been willing to come and apologise, they wouldn't have come themselves.
The problem was that the boy didn't want to come, no amount of scolding or talking.
In fact, you can tell by the look on their faces what is going on.
Eloise bowed her head with a smile, "Go back, second aunt and uncle. Some things can't be solved by an apology."
What had happened last night was really disgusting to her and just the thought of it made her feel sick all over, like a million ants crawling all over her body.
"Eloise, Herrin was drunk last night, that's why..." Silvia was still trying to explain for Herrin.
"Stop it." Eloise interrupted her, her face going cold as she said, in one particularly clear word, "Don't put the blame on the wine for your mistakes."
Why is it that when something like this happens, the idea is to get rid of it by saying "I was drunk"?
Eloise really didn't want to talk to them that much, "Auntie and uncle, I'll make it clear today, Herrin has to be prepared to face the consequences if he dares to do something like that."
At the sound of her words, Devona became anxious, "Eloise, what do you mean by that? Is there something you want to do to Herrin?"
It's not Eloise they fear, it's the Rogers family behind her.
Once the Rogers family got their hands on Herrin, it was no use begging their grandparents.
"No. You guys go back." Eloise was getting a little impatient.
"Eloise ..."
Silvia tried to say something else, but Devona pulled back, "Okay, stop."
Then he said to Eloise, "Eloise, I will ask Herrin to come over and apologise to you personally. You are cousins and I hope you can forgive him."
Eloise did not speak.
"Maryam, we'll go back and see you some other time." Devona said to Maryam.
Maryam didn't know what was going on, but could guess it was something bad by the look on her daughter's face, so she didn't look kindly on Devona and the others, nodding indifferently. Devona pulls his wife away and as soon as the two walk out of the ward.
Silvia shook his hand away and yelled, "Look at the attitude of that mother and daughter. Do they really think that being in the Rogers family is a big deal?"
"You shut up!" Devona scolded.
He looked back hurriedly, fearing that Eloise might hear him if he suddenly came out.
When no one was there, he continued, "Can you watch your mouth? We're still counting on the Rogers family, and if we mess up this relationship, there will be no place for us in the Khan family." "I ... I'm just not happy about it."
Silvia had an indignant look on her face.
In the past, Maryam was pampered by her parents in the Khan family, and everything was done with her in mind, while her brothers and sisters-in-law did not receive a single compliment for their good work. When she left home for a man, to put it mildly, it was good for them.
But I never thought she would have the face to come back after all these years.
Even if they came back, they became Hector's mother-in-law.
Wasn't it obvious that they still had to look at her face?
Really unhappy, very unhappy!
"Well, don't be angry." Devona patted his wife on the shoulder and said, "Who needs the Rogers family now? When Goode gets the Khan Group, who will dare to look down on us?"
Silvia took a deep breath, "Fine, I'll put up with it for Goode's sake! We'll settle with her later."
She glared back at Maryam's ward before leaving.
...
In the sick bay.
Eloise heard Silvia's disgruntled voice and couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Sure enough, it's a scam.
And what a genuine apology to come, they probably wouldn't even be here if it weren't for the fact that she's Hector's wife.
Maryam heard it too and her brow locked up, "Your second aunt has always spoken badly, don't take it personally."
"Mum, how could I take it personally?" Eloise gave her a long, thin glance and smiled, "I'd be exhausted if I bothered with someone like her."
Maryam guffawed, "Indeed."
Eloise smiled, glanced at the seafood congee on the coffee table out of the corner of her eye, and said with a twist of words, "Mum, the congee is getting cold, so hurry up and eat."
"The porridge will be eaten later." Maryam put away her smile and looked at her with a serious expression, "Tell Mum honestly what happened last night, what did Herrin do to you?" She had wanted to hide it from her, but she didn't expect Devona and the others to come over, so now she didn't know if she could hide it even if she wanted to.
Eloise spoke hesitantly, "It's nothing really, it's just that... got into a bit of a scuffle."
