Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 962: Unwarranted Moves
Eloise came downstairs and couldn't help but smile when she saw Solomon and Sweety watching cartoons in the living room. Then, with a twist of her toes, she went to the kitchen. Brimlad is busy preparing dinner.
"Auntie, let me help you."
Eloise walks in, looks left and right, says she wants to help, but doesn't know where to start.
Seeing how overwhelmed she was, Brimlad smiled and said, "No need to help, go and call them over for dinner."
Embarrassed, Eloise turned to go out just as Baggott and Edgar returned.
"Brother-in-law, cousin." Eloise hurriedly called the two children over and said to them, "Solomon, Sweety, call out to Grandpa and Uncle Junior."
Baggott and Edgar were not expecting to see two little ones here and were pleasantly surprised.
"Uncle Grandpa, Uncle Junior."
Solomon and Sweety called out good-naturedly.
"Good boy." Baggott stroked their heads lovingly.
Edgar, on the other hand, picked Sweety up straight away and, without hiding his face full of doting, asked, "Sweety, did you miss your brother-in-law?"
"Think." Sweety replied without thinking, her soft little milk voice too inviting.
"I want Sweety too," Edgar pinched her cheek and then looked down at Solomon, "Solomon, I've got some new model planes, would you be interested in helping me put them together?" When he heard "model aeroplanes", Solomon's eyes lit up and he nodded his head, "Yes!"
"Then we'll go upstairs and spell it out after dinner."
Solomon answered with a crisp "yes". "Brother-in-law." Hector approached.
Baggott laughed, "Hector's here."
Edgar turned his head, thought of something important and said hurriedly, "Hector, I want to talk to you about something."
Before Hector could say anything, he heard Brimlad call out, "What are you guys still talking about, come over here and eat."
So Edgar said, "Let's talk upstairs when we've finished eating."
Hector nods his head.
At the dinner table, Solomon and Sweety kept everyone entertained with their childish banter and laughter, making for a particularly warm and welcoming atmosphere. Just as everyone was having a good time, the butler hurried in.
"Sir and Madam, Prince Goode and Prince Herrin are here."
At that, Eloise turned her head and locked eyes with Hector, both of them knowing full well that those two men should be here for last night's incident.
But Baggott and the others didn't know about it, so they were all baffled.
Nevertheless, Baggott asked the butler to invite the man in.
"You guys keep eating, I'm going to see what's going on."
Baggott gets up and leaves.
Eloise was in no mood to continue eating and she turned to Brimlad and said, "Auntie, Solomon and Sweety are in trouble, and Hector and I are going out to check." After all, the other side was coming for her and she would make things difficult for her brother-in-law and the others if she avoided them.
"I'm going too." Edgar said.
Brimlad smiled helplessly, "You all go on, I'll watch the two younger ones."
Only when they were all out did Brimlad mutter in a low voice, "What are those two doing here at this hour?"
...
"Brother, this is the old Khan family house and our home, just go straight in, no need to wait for the butler."
Herrin said and was about to walk in.
"Wait." Goode pulled him back, "Don't forget we stopped living here a long time ago, it's Edgar and the others who are staying now." The implication is not to lose your manners and be told off.
Herrin could only retract his foot in sarcasm.
At that moment, Baggott came out, saw them, smiled gently and said, "Goode Herrin, what brings you here?"
Goode returned a smile, "Doesn't my cousin live here? We just thought we'd come and see our cousin."
"Oh." Baggott nodded in realization, "Come in, then."
Goode and Herrin walked in after him.
When she saw Herrin, Eloise subconsciously squeezed Hector's hand, the feeling of fear and helplessness vivid in her mind. Hector gave her a sidelong, distressed look.
He had not witnessed that night, and he dared not think about it.
But he knew that Herrin would have to pay for this.
As soon as he entered the room, Herrin felt a stern gaze shoot towards him.
He looked over and met Hector's cold eyes, his heart trembled and he averted his eyes.
Goode noticed and followed his line of sight, smiling and nodding as he saw Hector.
Hector simply ignored it.
A quick glint of gloom flashed under Goode's eyes, but the smile on his face didn't diminish by half as he walked past with aplomb. "Cousin, Hector, good evening."
Even if she didn't like them any more, Eloise responded politely, "Good evening."
As for Hector, still ignored.
Goode wasn't annoyed as he pulled his brother Herrin to him, "I brought Herrin here today to apologise."
His tone was very sincere, "What happened yesterday was Herrin's fault, and I hope my cousin will give him a chance to apologise properly." Another apology.
Eloise thought it was ridiculous, did they think they had apologised and nothing was going to happen?
"Herrin, apologize!" Goode ordered.
Herrin had resentment in his heart, but still acted sincerely on the surface and bowed his head, "Cousin, I'm sorry. I am very sorry for what I have done, I should not have treated you that way, I hope you can forgive me for once." Eloise did not speak.
Edgar heard that something was wrong and hastily asked, "What happened last night?"
Goode was a little surprised to see that he didn't know, "Didn't Cousin Eloise tell ye?"
"No." Edgar shook his head, and he looked at Eloise suspiciously.
Eloise smiled coldly, raised her chin and pointed at Herrin and said, "Ask him what he's done to me."
Herrin pursed his lips tightly together without saying a word.
He was afraid to say.
Once said, one fears that one will drown in spittle.
He doesn't say it, Goode does.
"Last night Herrin did something to Eloise that he shouldn't have."
Goode is a bit evasive.
Neither Eloise nor Hector looked very well.
"A move that shouldn't be made?" Edgar frowned suspiciously.
Without further explanation, Goode looked to Eloise and once again said sincerely, "Cousin, Herrin knows he was wrong and he won't do it again, so I hope you can forgive him this time." "Heh."
Eloise sneered, "He's an animal, even his own cousin."
At her words, it became instantly clear to Baggott and Edgar, who were still bewildered.
This is a statement that some people may not hear.
But they, the Khan family, know a lot about Herrin.
"Herrin, you, you actually..." Baggott was so angry he couldn't speak.
Herrin has always been very unlikeable, his heart is not in his career, just a typical dude.
But I never thought he would turn on his cousin this time!
