Love Comes To Me
Chapter 981: Creating Opportunities

"Do you think my cousin likes Earlene?"

Once back in the room, Eloise asked Hector.

Hector laughed helplessly, "How would I know about that?"

Eloise brushed her lips, "And yes, what does a big man like you know about that."

She lay back on the bed and looked at the ceiling, "I actually think they both fit together quite well."

"You want to set them up?" Hector asked.

Eloise rolled over and lay on her side, resting her head on one hand, her gaze falling on Hector, her tone somewhat helpless, "Sort of, my brother-in-law and my mother both want me to introduce my cousin to someone." "You really think they're both right for each other?"

"Sure."

Eloise sat up, "Whether it's family or image or whatever, they're both quite suitable, and there's no need to be afraid of any high-flying ah, inappropriate family."

Speaking of which, she thought of herself and Hector and sighed, "When the two of us got together, I was kind of high on the list and outsiders were looking at me funny."

Hector walked over, sat down next to her, took her into his arms and said softly, "Nothing is more important than two people loving each other."

Eloise tilted her little face up, "You really think so?"

"Well..." Hector mused for a moment and asked, "Suppose I went broke and became a poor boy, would you still love me?"

"Sure." Eloise blurted out without thinking.

Hector smiled, even the tips of his eyebrows were tinged with laughter.

"What? You don't believe me?" Eloise frowned slightly.

"Believe, I believe." Hector held her close, "Whatever you say, I believe it."

"That's more like it."

Eloise snuggled into his arms and asked softly, "Are you sure you're not going? It's Earlene's invitation."

"No go."

"Why?"

"The most important parties in this partnership are the Khan Group and the Bartram family. To put it bluntly, Rogers Group is putting up the money, not the effort." At that, Eloise muttered, "It's great to be rich."

Hector lost his smile, "It's great to be rich. That way I can spend more time with you."

Eloise is silent.

In the end, it's because of her that she's not going.

When she stopped talking, Hector asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"

"I want to go." Eloise whispered.

Hector raised an eyebrow, "You can go if you want."

"Really?" Eloise sat up straight with excitement, her beautiful eyes shining at him, "You mean it?"

"Are you trying to set them both up, and is it bad for us to go instead?" Hector asked.

He also said that he was a big man who didn't understand this, when in fact he was the one who knew more than her.

Because she really hadn't thought of that.

"Then don't go and create opportunities for them." Eloise rejoined his arms.

Hector hugged her and laughed softly out loud.

...

Katerina told Bergerian about Rowson's request.

The latter listened with some confusion, "Why did he want to see me?"

"Because..." Katerina hesitated, not knowing whether to tell him the truth or not.

Bergerian narrowed his eyes and said in a deep voice, "You should know very well what happens to people who hide things from me." "He got into a fight with George."

Bergerian didn't expect this to be the case and was surprised, "A fight? What's going on?"

Katerina told him exactly what had happened, adding at the end, "Rowson probably felt insulted enough to want to see you."

"George," Bergerian sneered, "it seems Professor Curry is too indulgent with his students."

Hearing this, a light flashed in Katerina's eyes; did this mean he would side with Rowson?

"Set up a time for me to meet with Rowson and talk." Bergerian said.

Katerina was busy nodding, "Yes, I'll arrange that."

When the time had been arranged and Bergerian's approval had been obtained, Katerina contacted Rowson.

"Mr Bergerian has agreed to meet with you just at seven in the evening."

Rowson's handsome face tightened on the other end of the phone, "Okay, I get it."

Having said that, he hung up the phone without waiting for Katerina's reaction.

"Rowson."

Katerina is furious to the point of no return.

What does this take her for? Is this the attitude after using her?

She regretted it, she should have known better than to help him.

Because of a back injury, Rowson asked Professor Curry for a few days off and Curry agreed readily and said he could take more days if a few weren't enough. Rowson said no politely, but in fact he laughed.

Everyone at the Institute knows that Professor Curry is a defender and will certainly hold a grudge against him.

So, the implication is that he would rather not go to the Institute ever again.

But they may be disappointed; he will not leave as long as the antidote to save Eloise has not been worked out.

Now Bergerian has agreed to see him, then when the time comes he must state his demands plainly.

With this in mind, Rowson walked to the window and looked at the setting sun in the sky with a somewhat rueful look on his face.

It's night time in the country and I wonder how Eloise is doing?

He took out his phone, looked down, found Eloise's number and debated whether to dial it.

Time passed and he held the same position, motionless.

After an unknown amount of time, he cupped the phone into his palm and lifted his head, a bitter smile curling the corners of his mouth.

At this point, Hector should be right by Eloise's side, so why make a fool of yourself?

He turned back to his room, ready to leave at any moment for the restaurant where he was to meet Bergerian.

...

Katerina went to Rowson's place, rang the doorbell and waited for the person inside to open the door.

But after waiting for a long time, no one came to the door.

She took out her phone and dialed Rowson's number.

"I'm right at the door, open it."

"I'm not at home."

Katerina frowned fiercely, "You weren't home, where were you?"

"What do you say?"

"You went on your own?" Katerina asked tentatively.

"Hmm."

With a firm yes, Katerina hung up the phone indignantly. The man was really getting out of line, and she had come to pick him up because she was worried that he would not be able to drive with his injuries. I can't believe he went on his own.

It was only about 6. 30 when Rowson arrived at the restaurant.

But not ten minutes later, Bergerian arrived.

"Rowson, it's been a long time."

Rowson nodded slightly, "It's been a long time."

Once the two were seated, Bergerian opened the door and asked, "Why did you want to see me?"

Rowson pondered for a moment before returning, "I want to join the core study."

At that, Bergerian raised his eyebrows in surprise and then burst out laughing, "You think I'd say yes?"

"You asked me to join your institute in the first place because you saw my ability. I can say with confidence that my professionalism is ranked among the best in the world."
