He looked at Shani and put his hand on the back of his head. His head was still pounding and he was beyond tired. He finally put down his mobile since he couldn't seem to get through to Madison. "It's Florence isn't it?"

"Yes, look Arkael will search for her to the nearest hospital. But I need to contact Maven, you need to be healed you won't be able to walk in your condition."

Arkael agreed then put their toddler in his playpen so Shani could keep an eye on him while she's contacting Maven.

Ralph was still trying to get himself seated on the headboard but still couldn't. He was breathless and his head was still in so much pain until he finally gave up and lay back to the pillow.

Maven showed up moments later, he was in his usual still expression. And the demon witch went straight to examining him without letting out his words.

He worked quietly and Ralph didn't mind at all as long as he could get out of the house soonest and be with Madison. But then he groaned and his hands grasped the sheets when he felt as if the base of his skull was being molded back together. "Hold the pain, I've already put the numbing agent in the balm but it'll still hurt especially for humans."

He looked like he was about to die. Trickled of sweat was trailing from his forehead, he was grinding his teeth and grunting in pain. Shani was to his side and giving him her healing energy, she relaxed a little bit when she saw that he started breathing regularly. It took another couple of minutes but then Ralph said he felt better, good as new. And that was when he thanked everyone and asked if Shani has heard anything from Arkael. "Get dressed, I'll take you there."

Shani ushered Maven out of the bedroom and he was out of the back door without even a word. She just shook her head knowingly and continue to get her little son and call Arkael asking where he was.

They all arrived at the hospital in less than thirty minutes. Arkael was already waiting for them by the lobby, he took their son from Shani when Audric was yelling for his dad.

"She's still in surgery. If anyone asked I'm her uncle okay. They won't let anyone but relatives in the emergency unit."

They all nodded, but Ralph was quick to ask more questions.

"Will she be okay? is she critical?" Ralph was tense but Shani put a hand on his trying to comfort him.

"She's out of the danger zone, they're patching her up. She has a deep laceration on her right side of her body but I'm sure my wife can fix her up faster with her remedies. If not then we'll call Maven once she's out of the hospital." "Right." Ralph was pacing back and forth still looking nervous.

Walter joined them half an hour later, he was giving Ralph his support and trying to calm him down.

It was another hour later when a doctor confirmed that Madison has been moved to a recovery room and a nurse was waiting to usher Ralph to see her. The nurse reminded them by saying until confirmed by the doctor only one visitor is allowed in her room. Shani and her family decided to get back and Walter followed them, he told him to keep in touch and Shani said she'd be waiting for Madison.

"We can heal her faster, she'll be just fine," Shani whispered while hugging him.

"I know, thank you. For everything."

They finally parted and Ralph followed the nurse but he was not ready when he saw her bruises, on her beautiful face and her arms were cuts, small laceration in several places. The nurse said they were from the broken windshield glass. The beeping sound from the machine was the only indication that she was still alive.

"Your fiance...she's a true fighter."

"Thank you."

It was the only way he could stay and accompany her, he had stated that he's Madison's fiance, and luckily because it was a small hospital they didn't check anything further.

He thanked the nurse and go to her side, he took a seat then waited for her. It was not until late at night when she opened her eyes.

Madison could feel someone was holding her hand, her throat felt dry, her body felt as if she has been hit by a ton of bricks. "Ralph..."

"Hey, you're awake..."

She wakes up to Ralph who looked pale and thinner than the last time she saw him.

"How are you?" his question made her think about the situation, how she got there, why was she in an accident, how was she able to foresee Ralph's incident.

Her eyes were teary as she saw the state that she was in. Her healthy hand was to her stomach and she stared at him.

"My baby, how's...our baby?"
