Married By Mistake
Chapter 31

LUNA

“Luna, I’ll just be going to the comfort room, okay? Let’s just meet at the ice cream parlour after you pay.” Camille explained to me.

I nodded. “All right.”

Camille accompanied me here to the mall to buy new clothes for pregnant women. My pants don’t fit anymore because my h**s are growing. I approached the cashier with arms wrapped around my waist.

“I thought—” My beautiful smile melted as Dylan’s face opened up to me.

“Hi.” He simply greeted me with a sweet smile on his lips.

I got away from him. “W-What are you doing here? Are you following me?”

“Yes. Is it wrong to follow the person I love?” He tilted his head on the other side.

I smirked at him. “Go home. I’m with Camille so I don’t need you.”

“I’m your husband, Luna. I’m the one who should be with you when—”

“You talk as if you didn’t deny my existence before, Damn it!” I snapped. I rolled up the basket and placed my purchases on the counter.

I was about to hand over my credit card when Dylan got ahead of me. I glared at him. “It’s my dress, so I’m the one who should be paying it.”

“Luna, let’s not argue anymore.” He begged.

To my annoyance I turned my back on him, I left him the clothes I bought. I walked to the clothing stalls again and I picked up clothes that were the same as the one Dylan had paid for.

“What are you doing?” Dylan asked as I passed him. He was already carrying the paper bags that I had bought earlier.

I didn’t speak and just skipped him. I stopped when he grabbed my hand.

“Luna, let me make it all up to you. Come back to me.” He said in a sad tone. I felt his warm palm on my hand.

“Want me to come back? You hurt me so badly, Dylan. I’m not a fool to run towards you again after you told me hurtful words.” I said emphatically and lifted my hand he was holding.

“You don’t have to run, because I’ll crawl closer to you.” Shit.

“That’s what you’re good at. to your empty words.”

I put the clothes I hadn’t paid aside and walked out of the shop. I walked over to what Camille referred to as the ice cream parlour. I caught her drinking pineapple juice. I slowly sat down in the chair in front of her.

She raised an eyebrow. “Why is your face frowning? Are you kidding me?”

“Whatever.” I teased her.

“Ah. I know. You saw dog poop.”

My forehead furrowed. She snorted as she looked behind me. I turned around and saw Dylan approaching our seat.

“Ugh!” I said.

“Hello, ladies.” He smilingly greets us.

Camille nodded. “Hi, a*****e. I didn’t know this mall was letting monsters in.”

Dylan’s face darkened but he didn’t speak. He just pressed his lips together. He sat in the chair next to me.

Camille was shaking. “And the courage you have to stand beside my sister after you hurt her—”

“Camille, I know my mistakes. Yes, I’m an a*****e like what you’ve just said. I know I hurt my wife. I hurt her with everything I said. In a relationship, trust is more important and that’s what My shortcomings. I’m narrow, bad-tempered, stupid, stupid, hard to love and a worthless human being. I freaking regret all of it. And I will do everything to bring my wife back to me. ” Dylan said loudly as he looked straight into Camille’s eyes. There was determination in his voice.

“Yeah. Good luck with that.” Camille said sarcastically.

He turned to me. There was sadness and joy in his eyes as he stared at me. “Strawberry ice cream?”

I answer him. “Choco Berry Creme.”

He nodded. He raised his hand and a waiter approached immediately. Our order arrived in just a few minutes. I smiled as I ate the ice cream I wanted.

I looked at Dylan as he sniffed it. He raised his finger and rubbed the edge of my l*p. “I’m scheduling a check-up at your ob-gyn the day after tomorrow. I’ll pick you up.”

“I could go to the ob-gyn alone,” I said coldly.

“It’s my baby, too. So—”

“We don’t need you, Dylan.”

He smiled but that didn’t reach his eye. “I know, but I do. I need you. You’re my beloved, Luna.”

Crap. How can I hurt him and torture him if I even have a hard time hurting him? Is my love for him this deep?

“You’re a nuisance on my sister’s date, do you know that?” Camille said rudely.

“Two-piece of advice, Camille. Back off and replace a boyfriend.”

“Don’t talk to her like that,” I said angrily to Dylan.

“Sorry.” He mumbled and looked away.

I sighed and started eating ice cream in front of me. I smiled as the cold piece of berry landed in my throat. I was about to run out of ice cream when I noticed Dylan was just staring at me while depressed.

I raised an eyebrow at it. “What are you looking at?”

“It’s so nice to stare at you. Smiling and all. I missed it. I missed you, Baby Luna.”

I frowned at what he said. “Go to hell.”

I immediately noticed the sadness on its face. He took a deep breath and wiped the edge of my l*p. I took his hand away from my l*p and wiped the tissue myself.

“What time are you going home? I’ll take you.”

“We have a car,” I said coldly. “How about you, Dylan? What time are you going to disappear?”

He inhaled. I know, wrong choice of word. “I won’t. No matter how many times you tell me you don’t want me anymore and you don’t want to see me anymore, I won’t leave. I won’t leave you again.”

My hands were shaking as I took my bag and slung it over my shoulder. “Let’s go home, Camille.”

“But—”

“I said, let’s go!” I said emphatically before leaving the ice cream parlour.

I kept walking until Camille could catch up with me. “Take it easy on the way you walk. You’re pregnant, hey.”

I calmed myself and slowed down. I glanced at the place where we had been sitting earlier and saw that Dylan was still there. He sat down with his hands on his face. I removed the worry from my heart and hardened it.

I opened the door of Camille’s car and quickly went in there. I could feel my heart beating fast.

How can I torture him in a way that won’t hurt me either?

I don’t know how long we’ve been travelling. I just looked outside while Camille wasn’t talking to me. I just found out that we were already at home when Camille put the car in our garage. I immediately went downstairs and went inside the house.

Why are they here?

“Juice please, sir.” Our assistant offers them. Kristian declined the juice offer and stared at his cellphone, while Trey in turn took it and drank it while listening to Dad’s stories. I sneezed and got their attention.

I immediately noticed the startled look of the siblings.

“I see, we have visitors.” All the attention went to Camille. He walked over to the long sofa and sat there. His cellphone rang and he immediately took it from his bag. “Oops. Excuse me.”

Camille got up and went out into the pool area before answering the call.

“Did you get a visit?” I asked and sat down in the chair in front of them.

“They want to see both of you,” Dad said softly.

“Why?” Trey is here, does that mean Sky is also here?

“You’re the one we should ask, Luna. Why are you here? Why don’t you live with Dylan?” Kristian asked crookedly.

I sigh and looked down. I chose to stare my hands at my thighs rather than their stinging looks.

“Something happened, Luna?” Kristian said seriously.

I cleared my throat. Oh, the pain. “I can’t be with him anymore.”

“Why? Did he hurt you or something?” Trey asked directly. Dad just silently watched us. His eyes are worried.

I could do nothing but tell them everything that had happened. I couldn’t get the pain out of my voice and expression. I saw Kristian and Trey clasp their hands.

“That shitty bastard!” I looked at Kristian as he stood up. His eyes were on fire. “I know that he’ll do nothing but hurt you! He’s going to pay for this!”

“Christian!” I chased after him and grabbed his arm before he could even get out of our door.

“What ?! You’ll protect him? Will you stop me? Shit, Luna!” Kristian’s angry promise.

Trey touched his shoulder. “Kris, calm yourself first.”

“The annulment must continue, Luna. You must not love a fool like him. A fool is only for fools.” Kristian said emphatically.

“I still love him, Kris.” My voice trembled.

I felt Dad’s palms caress my shoulder to calm me down. I wrapped my arms around her waist and silently burst into tears.

“Luna, stop loving someone like him. He doesn’t deserve you.” Trey said softly.

I shook. “I know. But, my baby will need him someday.”

“You’re pregnant ?!” The two were shocked by the news.

“She is,” Dad answered for me.

I know how much Kristian and Trey value me. I know they love me as a sister. I feel that way so I understand why they are so angry when they hear someone has hurt me. I pressed my face even harder against Dad’s chest, seeking the warm care of a father.

It was as if I woke up when we heard the sound of a car leaving.

“Where’s Kris?” I asked Dad.

“He left.” Dad’s simple response.

“What? Pa, he’ll hunt Dylan down! He might kill my husband, you know Kristian. Why didn’t you stop him?” I snapped.

He shrugged. “Then, I will reward him a hundred million for the a*****e’s head.”

“Really?” I turned to Trey.

“Dead serious.” A corner of Papa’s l*p rose.

“Then, let’s go hunting,” Trey said devilishly.
