Married for Inheritance-Divorced for Freedom
Chapter 9 Unexpected Turn of Events

When they reached the washroom, Hannah watched the child leave the washroom, wondering if Darran had gotten married to this ordinary woman. If he had, where would Charmaine be in this picture? The boy belonged to Darrian, for sure. The little boy introduced himself to Becky and Ray. He said politely. "Hi, I am Ethan; what is your name?" Becky said, "I am Becky, and Ray is my twin brother." The boy went back and forth at them and said, "You do not look like twins. I look more like you, Becky." She grinned and said, "Yeah, right." Hannah was grateful for her friendly daughter, who often joked with her brother. She patted his orange hair, then hugged him.

The boy left as Hannah, and the twins followed in the distance. Hannah's heart raced as she watched the man and the little boy exit the airport. The way he held the child, shielding his face with the hoodie, sent a jolt of familiarity through her. Could it be? Could he be Charmaine's son?

She scolded herself for entertaining such thoughts. It had been years since she last saw Darrian. She had made peace with the fact that he had moved on and found happiness with someone else. But the resemblance between the little boy and Becky was uncanny, igniting a spark of curiosity within her. Letting out a sigh, Hannah reminded herself that she had made a decision. As soon as she finished the project, she would leave Korea behind and embark on a new chapter of her life. She would complete the design project for Opulent Designs in Korea, and there would be nothing left for her to stay there. Her mind was made up. As Hannah gathered her belongings, her determination wavered for just a moment. She couldn't help but wonder about the life Darrian had built for himself and his son. Did he miss her? Did he ever think about her? Pushing aside those lingering thoughts, Hannah focused on her plan. She had accomplished so much since leaving Darrian, building two successful companies and gaining recognition in the European automobile industry. New opportunities, including a prestigious offer in South Korea, were waiting for her.

With the twins' hands tightly in hers, Hannah walked through the bustling airport, her eyes forward, her mind set on the future. She had no intention of seeking out Darrian or intruding on the life he had created for himself. His happiness was no longer her concern.

Yet, as fate would have it, their paths crossed once again. Just as Hannah was about to step outside and leave the airport, she heard a familiar voice calling out her name. "Hannah!"

She turned to see Darrian, his eyes widening in recognition. He could not believe she was alive as he ran to her. The years had been kind to him, his face etched with hints of maturity and experience. But the love and longing she saw in his eyes caught her off guard.

He was determined not to let her go, but his son was looking at them, and he had to let her go for now. There was an undeniable connection between them, a bond that couldn't be broken by time or distance. Hannah's heart wavered, torn between the life she had built for herself and the possibility of a second chance at love.

But before she could say anything, Darrian gently moved the boy's hoodie, revealing the face. Hannah said, "Hi, Ethan as her daughter spoke up. 'Hi, friend," Darrian's eyes opened wide as he looked at the little girl, and his eyes flashed on Ray. Tears welled in Hannah's eyes as she gazed upon the little boy, now a vibrant three-year-old. At that moment, as their eyes met, Hannah knew she couldn't turn away from this unexpected twist of fate.

Their story was far from over, and as they stood there, reunited after all these years, Hannah felt a glimmer of hope. The man of her dreams had returned, the father of her child. And together, they would write a new chapter in their lives, one filled with love, forgiveness, and second chances.

She said goodbye to the Father, son pair as her friend ushered her into her car. The children waved goodbye to Ethan as well.

The following day, Hannah went to the company to start the project. She was impressed with the tour, and as the Manager said Miss Rose, I would like you to meet the CEO of our business. She turned around and opened her eyes wide. There stood before her, the man of her dreams. Darrian couldn't believe his eyes as he stood there, frozen in the doorway of the design department. His heart skipped a beat as he gazed at the woman who had disappeared into the elevator moments ago. It was Hannah, or as she was now called, Lady Rose.

A rush of emotions flooded Darrian as he watched Samantha, his ex-wife, and Hannah, his lover now known as Lady Rose, surrounded by laughter and chatter from his creative team. She turned her head, her eyes meeting his, and he felt his heart stop for a second. There she stood, his darling Hannah, all mature and curvy and as beautiful as ever.

He didn't know whether to laugh, cry, walk, or run to her. His excitement was palpable, making it difficult to contain himself. His heart beat faster and faster as he mustered up the courage to approach her.

As he took hesitant steps towards her, the laughter subsided, and the room grew quiet, with all eyes now on Darrian. Hannah's eyes widened with surprise, mirroring his astonishment. It took a moment for her to register what was happening, but a smile slowly spread across her face when she did.

Without a word, Darrian closed the distance between them, unable to resist the overwhelming need to hold her in his arms. Finally, he could embrace her, his heart swelling with love and longing. Hannah wrapped her arms tightly around him, tears streaming down her face.

"I can't believe I am working with you," Darrian whispered, his voice filled with wonder.

"I never thought I'd see you again," Darrian choked out, his voice trembling with emotion. "I've missed you so much."

As they held each other, all the pain and heartache of the past four years melted away, leaving only the deep connection they had always shared. It was as if time had stood still, and they were transported back to a time when their love for each other was unbreakable. Darrian's staff quietly left the room.

Darrian pulled away slightly, his hands cradling Hannah's face. "We have so much to talk about," he said, his voice laced with determination. "But first, I want to meet our son."

Hannah's heart beat faster as she questioned, "My son. I have my son." Then whose child do I have? She asked. Then, realising hit home, and she started to cry harder. A mixture of joy and relief lit up her eyes. She took Darrian's hand and led him towards a nearby office, where a young girl and her twin sat, engrossed in a sketchbook and a computer.

"Becky," Hannah called softly, causing the little girl to look up. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw her mother and a stranger standing before her.

"Becky, this is your father," Hannah said, her voice filled with tenderness and apprehension.

Darrian knelt and smiled warmly at his daughter. "Hello, Becky. I've missed so much of your life and promise to make it up to you."

Becky's eyes flickered with uncertainty, but she saw the love shining through as she looked into her father's eyes. Slowly, a smile formed on her face. "Hi, Dad," she said, her voice a mix of curiosity and hope.

At that moment, as father and daughter connected for the first time, Darrian knew their love story was far from over. This opportunity began the next chapter in their lives, filled with love, second chances, and the joy of being a family again. But what about the spare child?

My Beloved Readers,

I did not expect this turn of event. I had an eye surgery and wrote several chapters before the surgery as I am uploading, I am making changes to the plot as it is developing in surprising ways to me. I do hope you can predict what will happen next in ths story. It would be fun to replace out if your prediction is on point.

Love always,

Your author.
