"Wow," I breathed on Silvan's hand and looked at the really nice house where Igor probably lived with his mate.

Although it seemed small, it was all the more cozy with the many flowers in the front yard and the welcome sign on the bright front door. "Small, but nice. Just like Igor," Silvan grinned and grabbed my hand a little tighter to open the garden gate and walk to the front door with me. He rang the bell and it wasn't long before the door was opened for us.

A woman a little shorter than me with beautiful long black hair and the brightest blue eyes I had ever seen gave us a friendly smile.

"You must be Jade. I'm really happy," she greeted me first and pulled me into a friendly hug.

"I'm happy too, Felicia," I replied and looked over at Silvan, who looked at me with satisfaction.

It's customary to greet the Luna of the pack first, he explained over the mate link, and still standing in that embrace, I rolled my eyes briefly.

I have to get used to being really Luna first, but thanks Mausi, I grinned at him and immediately he rolled his eyes to let go of my hand.

You little provocateur, he said and raised an eyebrow, which made me giggle and Felicia pulled away from me with an irritated look.

"Sorry, but this guy is driving me crazy," I explained apologetically about my laugh and she immediately laughed loudly too.

"I believe you immediately," she replied and took Silvan in her arms.

Then we ran together into the large living room, which absolutely didn't fit the Igor I had met.

Everything looked so friendly, with all the bright decorations and the yellow couch in the middle of the room, that Bene and Miguel would have been more appropriate here without trying to cliché them.

"I'll be right back," Silvan whispered in my ear and disappeared into the back corner of the room, where Igor, Bene and Miguel were standing and drinking beer.

"Who do we have there?" I was addressed directly from behind and turned around happily...

"Well you," I greeted Kaidan, who was about to take off his leather jacket.

"You look good for what happened to you," he said, smiling, and then handed me a mug, which he took from one of the tables next to him. Only then did I realize how much alcohol and snacks were on the tables behind me. That would surely escalate everything, I thought and then hesitantly accepted the red cup.

"Tequila?" he asked with a raised eyebrow and my gaze fell briefly on the piercing in his brow before I shook my head no.

"No way," I made a disgusted face and then pointed to one of the champagne bottles. "That's enough for me."

He grinned and was about to reach for the bottle but stopped and looked at me apologetically.

"See you," he winked and just disappeared between the unfamiliar people while I wondered what that was about until I realized.

"You really attract all single men," Silvan whispered in my ear, putting his hands around my waist. I turned to him smiling and wrapped my arms around his neck to stand on my tiptoes.

"And you'll chase them away immediately," I whispered, grinning, and kissed his lips softly, causing him to immediately pull me closer to him.

"Jade, you should really hold back a bit," he said quietly, whereupon I snuggled up to him even more and pretended to be ignorant.

"With what?" I whispered seductively, but he didn't take it any further and quickly pulled away from me to fill me a mug with champagne and get himself a beer.

"You know that very well and believe me, you'll feel it as soon as we get home," he explained calmly and straight, when I wanted to kiss him again, Felicia clapped her hands and drew everyone's attention to her.

"Sooo. After what seemed like endless years to me, my mate has finally decided to become one of us. I'm really excited that you're spending this day with us and as you all know too well, only the bite can do one thing Alphas trigger the transformation, which should then be completed after a few hours," she explained happily, while all eyes in the room were on her.

"So Silvan, the honor is yours," she added, and somehow I had to imagine with a queasy feeling how Silvan would bite Igor's neck.

I even got a little jealous.

Silvan ran over to Igor, whose face was literally scared, while Felicia stood right by my side.

"But won't he also take on Silvan's scent then? I mean, it's like a mark, isn't it?" I whispered curiously over to her, causing her to giggle softly.

"No, this is a transformation bite and has nothing to do with the tag. The wound heals completely once he has turned into a wolf and it doesn't matter where he bites him."

"Ahhhaa," I just said, fascinated by myself and then watched excitedly as Silvan took Igor's arm in his hands and then simply bite his forearm.

The whole room was silent and everyone seemed just as intrigued as I was. Except for Igor. He looked pained and didn't look like he was having the time of his life, which made me laugh unintentionally.

Crap!

Now some looked at me questioningly and I immediately turned to the tables behind me, red as fire, to nervously pour myself another mug.

"Done," I then heard Silvan and immediately everyone clapped their hands. Some even cheered and when Igor then sat down on the sofa and was celebrated by everyone, Felicia turned on the music system next to me.

We wolves were really funny people.

After a few hours, during which I was mainly talking to Miguel, Bene and Silvan, it suddenly happened.

Igor got up, sweating all over his body, and before I knew it, he turned into a huge gray wolf in the middle of the house.

"Oh my God," I immediately heard Felicia, who looked at him with tears in her eyes and stroked his fur.

"Do you want to come with me?" Silvan tore me out of my stare and demanded my attention.

"To where?"

"It's common for us to go running as wolves in the woods for a few hours as soon as a new member joins the pack."

My eyes fell on Bene, who was saying goodbye to Miguel and somehow I wanted to give the men this time to themselves. Also, I didn't want to leave Miguel alone here either.

"No, just have fun. I'll wait here," I replied and then gave him a fleeting smile, only to admire Igor again. Besides Bene and Silvan, a few other men followed the gray wolf outside and when we heard loud wolf howls after a short moment, we knew that Igor was finally really one of us.

Here's to Igor, I thought happily and then quickly emptied my cup to then talk to Miguel about what had happened. Surely he would be next, as impressed as he looked.

It had been two weeks since Igor's party and the next event was already coming up, for which I had bought a really nice, light blue dress in the meantime, which only showed a small neckline but a lot of back. "You look perfect."

Silvan was already standing at the door with a black shirt and black trousers, waiting for me. His eyes seemed caught by my appearance and as if he was about to rip my dress off again, he glared at me with lust. "Thank you," I replied with a smile and then took his hand to leave the house with him.

As always, he obligingly held the passenger door open for me, and I had a brief recollection of lying in the back seat thinking that my life was going to be just plain awful.

But it wasn't. It was just breathtakingly beautiful.

Silvan then also got in and we drove towards Ballsall with soft music playing on the radio.

"I'm sure it will be a nice evening," he said softly, putting his hand on my thigh, which I immediately took in my hands.

"I'm sure of it," I smiled happily, looking over at him. "I love you," I added, and he brought my hand to his mouth to kiss her gently.

"Me too you. With every fiber of my being."

The butterflies flew wildly and uncontrollably through my stomach and I enjoyed the feeling with all my senses that he could only trigger in me with words.

When we arrived at the ballroom and looked for a parking space between the many cars, I was amazed at what Melania had put together.

The white and blue garlands matched the otherwise soberly decorated gymnasium perfectly, and even the torches that lined the stairs up were by no means overkill.

It just looked really nice.

I got out of the car, waited for Silvan and then took his hand again to walk with him to the stairs. We were silent and both marveled at the many people, lost in thought, while you could already hear the quiet music from out here, which literally invited you to dance. "Jade?!???", I unexpectedly heard a shrill voice behind me and turned around with wide eyes to look straight into Aleya's frightened face.

"Oh my god," I breathed and let go of Silvan's hand to jump into my former best friend's arms.

"I'm so sorry," she sobbed, hugging me even tighter. "I tried to contact you. All the time, but none of the guards wanted to tell you anything," she explained through tears, and I really had to pull myself together not to destroy my long-applied makeup with an emotional outburst.

"I know," I breathed against her shoulder and then broke away from her to give her a happy look.

"Hello, Jade," the man next to her greeted me and only when I looked at him did I look back and forth between her and him in irritation.

"Are you guys... mates?" I asked completely puzzled and it was Mr. Handsome who answered with a slight grin.

"Yes, it was really an unusual situation, but we mastered it," he explained and then took her hand in his.

"I'm really happy for you," I replied and then turned around to wave Silvan over to us.

"So that's Silvan and that's Aleya and.... Well, Mr. Handsome," I introduced the three to each other and only when Silvan shook his hand and he introduced himself as Benjamin did I replace out his real name, what somehow still funny.

"Nice to meet you," said my mate in a friendly manner, and the four of us ran up the stairs, but not without Aleya and I chattering like two chickens.

She told me everything about herself and Benjamin, just like I told her everything about Devin, Viola and Silvan.

It was wonderful to have a girlfriend again, even if I was content with my life between so many men.

Once inside, we looked at everything in amazement and it was really nice that Benjamin and Silvan got along so well right away.

It wasn't long before I introduced Aleya to Bene, Miguel, Igor and Felicia and we all danced and drank together while Melania kept dropping by to ask if everyone was happy.

We were more than satisfied!

After more than exhausting myself dancing with Aleya, I went to one of the side tables that had several drinks and mugs on it.

"You don't really want to drink in your condition," I suddenly heard Kaidan's voice next to me and of course Silvan immediately came to my side when he saw him standing next to me again.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, frowning, and he immediately gave me a startled look

"You don't know?" he said confused and then looked at Silvan, whom I then looked at briefly. "And you don't know it either. How brilliant that it's me who knows it first," Kaidan laughed and Silvan immediately grabbed his arm, which made me gasp. "What are you talking about?!" he growled, but Kaidan, as always, wasn't intimidated and just grinned stupidly.

"Not only do I see a large, white shell, but also two small, red ones in it, which are full of love."

My mouth opened and I felt my heart pounding out of my chest any second as I cupped my trembling hands to my abdomen.

The music around me got quieter and when Silvan turned to me, still confused and his eyes fell on my hands, he also understood what Kaidan had just said.

"But... how? How can that be?" I stuttered, completely taken by surprise, feeling tears of joy welling up in my eyes.

"I'd rather leave you alone for the moment," Kaidan said, but I didn't pay any more attention to him. I still caught Silvan's gaze, who immediately came to me to put his hands on my cheeks.

"I... The condom... It broke. I'm so sorry... no, actually I'm not sorry. I-"

I stopped his stutter by placing my lips on his and pulling him into a kiss that seemed more intense than anything else in the world.

In that magical moment I didn't give a damn if a broken condom was the cause and I wasn't mad at all or anything. On the contrary.

Out of sheer happiness I could hardly think straight and when I broke away from his lips gasping for air, I fell into his arms, crying with joy.
