Even as she was on the phone with her, though she could hear that something wasn't right with her tone, she still didn't think too conscientiously over it. It was only after a long while had passed with still no signs of Ruth and the calls that couldn't get through, did Yesseca knew that trouble had occurred. She had to see Ruth right away.

At the same time, in Nashaland.

Ruth, who was presently muddle-headed, tried to get out of bed several times, but found that she had no strength in her at all.

She palmed her phone out of her pockets.

She wanted to call Yesseca, to tell her that she might not be able to come.

But her phone was dead.

And the charger was on the table.

Ruth gritted her teeth as she struggled to her feet.

She shuffled over to the table with the intention of grabbing the charger and call Yesseca once her phone was plugged in. However, the moment she reached the side of the table, it was as if her legs couldn't bear her weight anymore, turned to jelly and gave out from under her.

Because she had not been eating and drinking for three days straight, plus the strain on her mental state had reached its limit added together with the fall that she had, it was no wonder that she fainted straight away right after she closed her eyes.

At eight o'clock that evening, Tremaine returned to the Quartley Palace.

For the past few days, he had been away from Nashaland visiting foreign dignitaries abroad.

His plane had just touched down on Nashaland soil just a minute ago.

As soon as he entered the Quartley Palace, the first thing he heard was a crying child.

He came upon the sight of Rorita with a child in her arms as she swayed gently back and forth, while Madam Quartley was to the side, constantly amusing the child.

However, the child wailed loudly still, cries of 'Mama!' was heard in between the continuous sobbing.

Tremaine froze for a brief moment before he headed for them in large strides.

He had already deduced who the child was, but he still asked anyway. True enough, this was Ruth's and Zorion's child.

Tremaine frowned.

Madam Quartley, under the

assumption that the reason for his

knitted brows was because he was irritated by the child's relentless wails, immediately explained, "Tremaine, you don't know this as you have never brought up a child before, but it's normal for this child to be like this. He had just been separated from his mother, crying is to be expected. He will settle down after a period of time."

"Ruth left." Tremaine suddenly spoke out this question that seemed more like a statement.

"She left," Madam Quartley confirmed nonchalantly. "I originally wanted to give her the villa where they had lived before as well as a sum of money. Yet she didn't want all of it, and said that she will go over to her relatives house." Tremaine pursed his lips without saying a word. After he gave the child another glance, he turned on his heel and left.

Madam Quartley was stunned by Tremaine's sudden departure. Her eyes then turned towards Rorita, "Why did Tremaine leave without even saying a single word to you? That's too much."

As Tremaine usually left early and

returned late, Madam Quartley hadn't actually seen with her own

eyes how they exactly interactedet

with each other. All she knew was based on what Rorita said with her own mouth, that they got along quite well.

However, when Tremaine came back just then, not only did he not say a word to her, he didn't even spare her a single glance. This aroused a sense of suspicion in Madam Quartley. When Rorita heard the question posed to her, a trace of sullenness and embarrassment flashed within her eyes before they quickly disappeared.

"Madam Quartley, the first thing

Tremaine saw after he came back was this child, it's no wonder he got shocked She giggled. "The fact that he forget to talk to me is nothing. Are there still words that need to be said between a harmonious couple like us? Everything is beyond what words can convey."

With that said, she reassured Madam Quartley that the relationship between her and Tremaine was good and allayed her worries. When she took note of Rorita's confidence, Madam Quartley felt relieved. She probably thought too much about the whole thing. Tremaine left the Quartley Palace.

Sheldon was already waiting outside.

Tremaine got into the car.

"Mr. Tremaine, I've already investigated it. Ruth is staying in a guesthouse called Clementine Residential." Sheldon reported.
