Six days passed. During that time, he called Preslie several times but no one answered.

On his rest day, he drove over to Agaphen City.

But the moment he met Preslie, she was very rude to him and even called him a coward!

He turned around to leave, but when he reached the door, he saw Ruth.

Even though Ruth was ill, she was still worried about the bakery.

She was surprised to see Sheldon as well. When they saw each other, she greeted him politely, "Mr. Hawls."

Sheldon was very surprised.

The last time he saw her, Ruth still looked healthy and had bright eyes.

"What's happened to you?" Sheldon asked.

"I'm fine," Ruth replied. "I just haven't been sleeping well lately."

As soon as she said this, Preslie yelled. "Ruth, come inside! Don't talk to him! He didn't help you the other day, there's no point talking to such a lousy person!" Sheldon was quiet.

Ruth was used to Preslie's temperament, she had always been a very straightforward person. Ruth quietly said to Sheldon, "Mr. Hawls, please don't be angry at Preslie. She is a very nice lady. She just gets this sometimes when she doesn't understand somethings. She's still quite naive."

Ruth wasn't angry at Sheldon at all.

She saw what had happened that day.

Preslie was so angry, she looked like she could explode at any moment.

Sheldon remained indifferent to her.

She even smiled at Yuliana, hoping that she wouldn't get annoyed by Preslie's outburst. She hoped that she wouldn't harm Preslie, but could tell it was coming.

Ruth patiently said, "Preslie, don't be mad at Mr. Hawls. He has his own problems too."

Ruth then coughed heavily.

Once she stopped coughing, she wiped her mouth with a handkerchief and found blood on it. Ruth remained calm.

She had been coughing out blood these past few days, she was used to seeing it.

But Preslie was shocked.

She said, "Ruth, I'm taking you to a doctor right now!"

"You know you're not well, yet you came all the way here." Preslie anxiously said, "I told you this

morning to stay in bed.'

Ruth replied, "I was just worried that you might not be able to finish up the work by yourself."

"Well, I'm working on it!" Presliethen said, "Now go home and rest! Otherwise, I'll be very upset with you!"

Preslie then brought Ruth back home under her heavy insistence.

Because the bakery was very busy, Preslie had to rush back to it after she sent Ruth home.

Before Preslie left, Ruth said to her, "Preslie, Mr. Hawls is right. The world isn't black and white. You shouldn't be upset with him."
