The three of us all snap our heads toward Lila, who's gaze is directed atKai. I frown as I process her words. " He's not going to hurt me. " Iassure her.

She looks doubtful. * How do you know? *

"1 am his beloved, I trust him. " I inform.

" What's a beloved? " Lila mumbles, out of the corner of my eye I seeDahlia tense.

* Dahlia will explain all that. " I tell her.

She chews on her lip. " You helped me. I remember you. *

I nod.

" you were.. you turned into a dog. " She whispers.

Dahlia chuckles, covering her mouth with her hand.

" A wolf. " I correct her.

She shifts on her feet. " How? "

"I'm a werewolf. Well part werewolf, part witch. " My statement makesDahlia’s eyes fill with shock, I don't meet her gaze. Kai places anothersoft kiss to the side of my head.

" Wait hold, how didn't I know about this? " Dahlia cuts in.

"1 only found out too. " Kai says absentmindedly, Dahlia seems a bitupset by this information but I pay her no mind as my mate runs hishands down my arms making me lean into him more.

He hands stop over mine and he intertwines our fingers, a smile crossesmy lips and I squeeze his hands gently to show my affection. The sunslowly starts to rise in the sky, the clouds fading out of their deeppurple and into a burst of reds, oranges, pinks and yellows.

" Dahlia, if you don't have that bracelet on already, I'd put it on now. *Kai sings, my eyes close as he brings his mouth to my ear, planting awet open mouth kiss onto my lobe. I untangle myself from him so I canturn around to face him, planting a kiss to his lips.

" Wow, you guys have suddenly become unbearable to be around. "Dahlia announces, seeming to forget about the news of my hybridstatus while her eyes focused on clasping her bracelet on, after a coupleof moments of her not being able to get it, I stand up to help her.Kneeling in front of her, I grab the claps between my fingers linkingthem together easily. " Thank you Doll. * She smiles at me.

I notice that Lila now has her eyes glued to the ground, with a lightfrown on her lips and that she has moved a couple of steps toward hermate. The sun fully rises in the sky, I watch with admiration as Kai laysback in the grass, his hands behind his head and a slight smile on hisface while he soaks up the sunrise, clearly enjoying every moment of it,just as he had over the weeks since I'd given him his ring.

I really love seeing him like this.

Walking back over to him, I lay down beside him in the grass makinghis eyes open as he lazily turns his head to look at me, grinning.Something clicks deep inside of me, a deep warmth and happiness as Igaze at him, everything around us seems to zone out as I take him in

" Holy shit! " Dahlia squeals. " I am out in the sun right now! "

"1 told you. " Kai mutters.

" Mal! We- vampires, are out in the sun and we are not burning! * Sheshouts in delight.

Kai chuckles, breaking our gaze to look over at his sister who is nowstanding up on the swinging bench with her arms open wide, a hugegrin on her face that's bathe in sunlight.

"I can't believe this. * She whispers.

She jumps down off of the bench, marching over to me. She pulls meup off of the ground and pulls me into her arms, embracing me tightlyas she thanks me. I hug her back for a couple of seconds before pullingaway.

" Okay maybe we should leave you two to take a walk around thegarden and talk about everything. " I say, moving my finger betweenDahlia and Lila.

Kai stands up, throwing an arm over my shoulder. " Bye lil sis, enjoyyour stroll. *

Dahlia waves us off, as she takes a seat on the bench, I see her pattingthe sit next to her trying to get her mate to sit next to her as we walkaway. Kai and I make our way back to the house, heading to his room." That was really nice of you. " He tells me as we crawl into the bedtogether.

* And you said to just share a birthday gift with you. " I snort, makinghim chuckle.

" My mistake. " He smiles, pushing me onto my back so he can hoverover me.

Reaching my hands up, I cup his face. ” You're very pretty. *

He tilts his head. " I'm pretty? *

"Yes. " I confirm. " Please don't say some sexist comment about thatbeing a feminine describing word, because I will have to hit you. "

He laughs. " I didn't say anything. "

" Good. " I mumble, leaning up to peck his lips.

Not being able to hold myself up, I fall back onto the bed but he closesthe space between us quickly. " You're extremely breathtaking, do youknow that? " he tells me, his lips brushing against mine.

" No, I'm most certainly no- *

He cuts me off by placing his lips on mine, my hands slide down hisneck and chest and around onto his back as our lips move together insynchronisation, his tongue meets my bottom lip causing me to openmy mouth and bring my tongue out to meet his.

My fingertips trail down his back until they reach the hem of his shirt, Islide my hands under the material and up to his shoulder blades,pressing my fingernails into his skin when his bites my bottom lip andsucks it into his mouth.
