Trevon made a call to Andrew, mentioning that Selina was planning to take part in Jewelry Design Contest in Sokovis as one of the designers for Brilliance in six days‘ time. Even Andrew was taken aback but quickly remembered that Trevon once investigated whether Selina was Charm, the top hacker on the dark web, and knew Trevon had his reasons. Andrew then set about arranging various things needed for the event.
After Trevon left. Selina, Malcolm, and Lydia made dinner plans, Selina hopped into her Lamborghini and headed towards Brilliance. As Angel collaborated with the company, it was essendal to witness it firsthand. Plus, it was the perfect opportunity to show off and trample Timothy
Upon arriving at the magnificent U–shaped building of Brilliance, Selina got out of her car and took off her sunglasses, surveying the impressive structure before her. She thought, ‘Hmm… Crafty design, it passes!
Striding into Brilliance with her legs, the receptionist at the front desk did a double–take at the sight of Selina’s stunning beauty and quickly mustered a professional smile. “How may I assist you today, Miss?”
In a calm tone, Selina replied, “I’m Selina Harvey. There should be an appointment made for me already.”
“Just a moment, please… The receptionist was puzzled internally, thinking that she should’ve remembered such a distinctive face–someone who should either be a top celebrity or a socialite. And yet, despite having seen many, she couldn’t place this. face, only that it outshone any she had encountered–it was envy–inducing.
Selina’s presence was promptly acknowledged. “Ms. Harvey, I will take care of this.”
Afespectful voice spoke, and turning around, Selina saw a man about 6 feet 1 inch tall in a sleek black suit, his piercing cold eyes giving off an air of danger and his handsome features set in a don’t–mess–with–me look.
The receptionist, feeling as if a VIP had arrived, quickly asked, “Andrew, are you here for her?”
“Yes,” Andrew replied simply, then bowed slightly towards Selina, “Ms. Harvey, please follow me.”
“Okay.
As they entered the elevator and Andrew pressed the button for the 30th floor, Selina quietly observed him. He breathed differently from normal people, moved with agility, and despite seemingly having his back to Selina, his entire being was alert to any potential threats from all angles. Clearly, to be Trevon’s secretary and to bear the surname Brady was to be no ordinary person.
Andrew glanced sideways, “Mr. Brady mentioned you’re participating in the Sokovis Jewelry Design Contest in six days.” She returned the look with a smile, “Yes, that’s right.”
“Though Brilliance is relatively new, the team here has been handpicked by Mr. Brady, especially the designers. Mrs. Brady, you must know of Brilliance’s international accomplishments. If Mrs. Brady insists on parachuting in for a position. I doubt they’ll be welcoming
“That’s exactly what I want. A company that bends too easily has reached its limit, after all True talents should have their pride. And there’s one more thing. They don’t know I’m Trevon’s wife, do they?”
“I haven’t been instructed to disclose such major news, so I haven’t said anything out of line.”
“Good, it’s more pleasant this way. I don’t want any barriers between us because of my identity as Trevon’s wife.” Seeing Selina’s confidence, Andrew thought of Trevon’s confirmation of her identity as Charm and chose to remain silent. Indeed, Andrew thought, ‘Let’s see what this woman, who has charmed Trevon himself, is truly capable of.
The elevator came to a halt on the twentieth floor. In strode a woman in a creamy suit jacket and a white leather mini–skirt,

her red heels clicking. With her face heavily made up and a strong perfume scent that was almost offensive, Selina couldn’t shake off a sense of déjà vu as she took a few more glances at the woman.
Then, when the woman caught sight of Andrew, her eyes lit up like Christmas lights. “Andrew, fancy seeing you here! Don’t tell me Trevon’s come to Brilliance too?”
Her tone gave Selina an epiphany. This was just like Madelyn. Even the penchant for heavy makeup was identical.
“Mr. Brady didn’t come. I’m here with Ms. Harvey, Andrew replied, his gaze revealing a tinge of disgust that he managed to conceal well.
He then whispered to Selina, audible only to them, “That’s Christina, the daughter of the Hudson family’s third branch, the same age as Madelyn, her cousin. She’s three months younger and works as a jewelry designer at Brilliance. She’s actually quite talented in this industry.”
Selina muttered back, with a touch of disdain: “Figures the cousins would share the same lowbrow tastes.”
“Selina…” At the mention of her name, Christina’s eyes flitted sharply over to Selina, with a look as if trying to bore holes through her skin. Selina ignored Christina’s piercing gaze. The whole Hudson family probably knew by now that Selina was the one officially married to Trevon. Let them look, Selina thought; she was the one with the upper hand. If she was concerned about their stares, she wouldn’t have entered a sham marriage with Trevon to leave her old world behind.
Christina’s eyes swirled with barely concealed envy, resentment, and jealousy. She hadn’t expected Trevon’s inexplicably chosen wife to be so beautiful–Selina didn’t photograph well, yet in person, she was far more stunning than any picture could show.
So, you’re Selina, Trevon’s wife. I’ve heard so much about you, Christina approached with a smile plastered on her face, attempting to link arms with Selina, who subtly dodged the gesture.
“Sorry, I have allergic rhinitis, and the perfume on you is a bit too much for me. Please keep your distance. Thank you, Selina declined politely yet firmly.
Christina stiffened, her expression turning sour. Selina’s comment was a clear dig at her thick perfume. Christina thought, “What a joke! Does this low–class, arrogant woman who only knows how to please men not recognize the scent of France’s top limited–edition perfume on her? Truly the nose of the impoverished!”
Christina knew Selina was not to be trifled with; even the hot–tempered Madelyn had suffered defeats at Selina’s hands. She wouldn’t lose her head confronting Selina like Madelyn did. After all, even if only temporary, Selina was the only partner Trevon had publicly acknowledged.
“My apologies, Selina, I didn’t realize you had allergic rhinitis. I assure you, the next time we meet, I won’t wear this Guerlain Christmas edition perfume. It’s wonderful, but the scent is rather strong, Christina said, feigning a remorseful look.
Selina just offered a slight smile, unresponsive to Christina’s act. She had already seen right through her little charade; compared to Ashley, Christina was just minor league, not even close to making the cut.
