Chapter 6

“Mrs. Foley is at her studio.

Brian pressed his lips together. “Is her stomach alright?

“She looks alright.”

Brian grunted slightly and then bent over his work without speaking further.

“Mr. Foley, Mrs. Foley asked me to give you this.” Mike suddenly remembered and handed over the divorce agreements.

Brian did not turn his head. “Read it.”

“Okay!” Mike answered. He opened the envelope containing the documents and then blanched when he saw the words ‘Divorce Agreement” printed at the top. He did not dare to read it.

“Why a

aren’t you reading it?” Brian asked.

Mike had no choice but to read it out loud. “Mr. Foley, Mrs. Foley wants to get a divorce. The reason given.

for the divorce is that the male party has sexual dysfunction and is unable to satisfy her basic needs…”

Brian’s handsome face darkened. “What is this?

“This is the divorce agreement that Mrs. Foley wanted me to give you.” Mike held his breath in fear. He felt as if he had just discovered a huge secret, and he did not dare to read further. He put the divorce

agreement in front of Brian

Brian grabbed it and read it with an icy expression on his face.

The agreement only stated that she wanted the Tarovian Terrace villa, which was the villa that had once belonged to Simon.

“She’s self–aware, at least.” Brian huffed. She knew why she had married him, and she had not dared to

mention money.

However, even if she hadn’t mentioned it, the reason she had given for the divorce was irritating enough.

on its own.

He called Stella. “Stella, what the hell did you send me?

Stella and Yelena were looking at furniture.

Yelena had dragged Stella out the moment she arrived at the studio.

She wanted to go back and live at the Tarovian Terrace villa. The house had been emptied two years ago,

and she would need to get some furniture before she could live there.

Stella picked up and said with a cold expression, “Isn’t it obvious? It’s a divorce agreement.”

“What I’m asking is what you mean by the reason for divorce!”

His pride had been hurt, and Stella could imagine how thunderous his expression was right now.

Brian huffed. “When I get back tonight, I guarantee that you won’t even be able to get out of bed tomorrow.

I I

Was he insane? Did he think that she even wanted that right now?

She wanted a divorce!

Stella said coldly. “There’s no need for that. I’m not going back. Sign that divorce agreement as quickly as possible, and we’ll part ways amicably!”

When he heard that she wasn’t coming back, Brian’s expression grew even colder. “Did I agree to the divorce?”

“We’ll divorce because I say so! Do you think that your threats will have any effect on me? I’ve got dirt on you too! You cheated on me with Jessica.

“If you don’t divorce me, I’ll expose the two of you on the Internet! I’ll verify the claims of you cheating. As the CEO of a listed company who’s in a cheating scandal, you’ll ruin your own reputation! We’ll see who has more to lose in this situation, me or you.”

“You think you’re tough now, don’t you? Are you threatening me?” Brian said coldly.

“Yes!” Stella raised her eyebrows. She couldn’t keep letting herself be oppressed by him without fighting back, could she? That would be lame!

The truth was that she did not want things to go that far. Brian had helped her a lot in the past, so she compromised. “Let’s just do this. You sign the divorce agreement and we end this marriage. Treat Jessica well in future. I mean, she’s already pregnant. Stop playing around and making your woman sad.”

Brian laughed. “Stella, are you feeling indignant on her behalf or your own?”

“I don’t want a scumbag like you anymore!” Stella hung up.

Brian’s expression was as black as thunder as he looked at his phone.

After a moment, there was a series of notifications from his phone.

He opened it to replace that it was a series of notifications about spending on his credit card.

She was buying all kinds of furniture, and the notifications were increasing.

Brian thought about the content of the divorce agreement, and his face darkened. He said to Mike, ‘Mike,

replace out if she’s at Tarovian Terrace.”

“Yes, Mr. Foley!” Mike–hurried off to check.

After a moment, he came back and reported, “Mr. Foley, Mrs. Foley did visit Tarovian Terrace today. She also employed a few cleaners to clean the place up.”

It seemed that she was planning to move to Tarovian Terrace.

Brian crumpled the divorce agreement in his hand.

Two years ago, when Simon’s company had run into trouble, he had sold all his properties. This included the Yates Villa at Tarovian Terrace.

After that, Stella had begged Brian to buy the villa. Who would’ve thought that it would become an escape route for her now that she wanted a divorce?

Brian huffed to himself. “Call the bank and block her card.”

In the mall, Stella and Yelena finished shopping for furniture.

Yelena said, “Stellie, let’s buy more. Buy whatever that catches your fancy, I heard that the mansion Brian bought for that homewrecker costs more than a hundred million dollars.

“If that homewrecker gets to spend so much, why can’t you? You’re his actual spouse! While you’re still married to him, spend that scumbag’s money and make him feel the pain!”

Stella felf that she was right.

She decided not to go back for her clothes, either, and just bought a whole new wardrobe. She spent the afternoon picking out more than ten new outfits, including bags and shoes.

“Hello, Mrs. Foley. That will be 3.26 million dollars in total.” The shop assistant smiled as she greeted Stella

Stella handed over her black card,

However, it could not be swiped.

The cashier said, “Mrs. Foley, this card seems to have reached its limit, and I can’t swipe it.”

“That’s impossible.” Stella was bemused. This was Brian’s supplementary card, and there had never been any problems with it before.

Yelena said, “Stellie, is Brian behind this?”

Stella felt that it was a possibility. She had bought a lot of furniture and had already spent more than ten million. Brian probably already knew about it.

She called the bank to ask.

The bank said, “Hello, Mrs. Foley. Mr. Foley was the one who blocked the card. It can only be unblocked if he calls personally to verify.

Stella’s heart sank.

It really had been that scumbag. Brian!

Yelena sald angrily, “Brian is too much! How could he be so generous to that homewrecker while being so stingy to you?”

Stella said, “He’s never liked me.”

“What should we do now?”

“Forget about the clothes for now. Let’s go back to Tarovian Terrace. I’ll call Yvonne later and ask her to pack for me and send it over.” In any case, she was determined not to go back.

“Alright. In any case, the furniture’s been bought, and your new life is about to begin!” Yelena was happy

for her.

Stella began to imagine a happy life after her divorce.

From now on she would live at Tarovian Terrace and spend her days eating and drinking with her best friend. She would no longer need to see Brian anymore

Yelena drove Stella back to Tarovian Terrace.

By the ti

By the time they got there, it was already dark.

Stella got out of the car. “Thank you for keeping me company today, Yelena. You can go home now.”

“Alright.” Yelena was going on a date with her boyfriend that night, and she drove off.

Stella headed toward the villa.

When she got closer, she saw a Cullinan parked in the yard. Brian was sitting in the car, and his upright figure seemed to blend into the night.

When he heard the sound of footsteps, he looked up and fixed an intense stare on her. There was an intimidating look in his eyes.
