Chapter 91

Brian grew tense and distant in the chair. In the end, Stella still partnered with Nas Group. A rare, hostile look flashed across his eyes.

After Stella left, Brian was alone with Jessica in the backyard. Jessica, dressed in a sexy strap dress, strategically leaned forward to display her cleavage.

Holding his hand, she gently said, “Brian, since you’re here, why don’t you stay the night? I’ll get the maids to get the toiletries ready for you.”

She was overtly inviting him to make a move. This wasn’t her first attempt, but each time, he’d deliberately ignore her.

He reacted in the same way each time. With a stoic expression, he replied, “I’m busy tonight.”

Then, he left.

Stella received a call from Yoel when she was at the entrance to Jessica’s villa.

He reported, “Stella, your Porsche repairs are done. Do you want me to drive it over to you?”

Only then was she reminded of her Porsche, which had been sent to the workshop after it was involved in

a crash.

Since her feet were hurting, she suggested, “Can you drive it to No. 8 Tarovian Terrace for me?”

She yearned to visit her old family home.

“Of course.”

“Thank you.” After that, she made her way to No. 8 Tarovian Terrace.

The gate of the villa was locked. Dead leaves littered the garden grounds, adding to the desolation.

A Rolls–Royce Ghost drove past No. 8 Tarovian Terrace. In the car, Mike alerted Brian, “Mr. Foley, look.

That’s Mrs. Foley.”

Brian looked up from the backseat and saw Stella standing by the gates in the chilly wind. Her side profile. was breathtakingly gorgeous as she stared at the plum blossoms in the garden,

“Is she in need of money lately?” Brian asked Mike.

“Mrs. Foley went home to the Yates family last night, didn’t she?” Mike reminded Brian.

During each of Brian’s visits to the Yates family, they’d always hint at him for money or projects. Hence, he disliked visiting Stella’s family.

“Go look into it,” Brian ordered.

Mike asked hesitantly, “Mr. Foley, do you plan to help Mrs. Foley on her family matters?”

Before Brian could reply, he saw a pink Porsche driving up the slope. It was the car Stella had sent to the

workshop earlier

The Porsche rolled to a stop. Yoel rolled down the windows, and his handsome, aloof face appeared in her sight. “Stella, I picked up your car from the workshop.”

Stella turned to him with a look of shock. “Mr. Perkins, why did you show up?”

“Well, I’m off work anyway. Why not get some fresh air? He grinned.

She smiled back at him.

Looking at No. 8 Tarovian Terrace, he asked, “Is this your old family home?”

“Yes.” She nodded. Sensing someone’s gaze on her, she spun around and spotted Brian’s face behind the windows of the Rolls–Royce Ghost.

The events at Jessica’s place today made Stella upset, and she refused to even talk to Brian. Standing straight, she said to Yoel, ‘Look. The plum blossoms in the garden of my family home are starting to

bloom.

Yoel looked in that direction. There were a few plum trees with white blossoms in the garden, swaying in

the chilly wind. It was a pleasant view

Getting out of the car, he stood by her side and enjoyed the scenery with her.

Meanwhile, Brian said coldly to Mike, “Let’s go.”

Mike quickly revved the engine and drove away. After a while, he asked, “Do you plan to take care of the Yates family matters on Mrs. Foley’s behalf? Are you going to do it with mone

or projects?”

“There’s no need for that,” Brian said, looking away from Stella with a cold expression.

Confused, Mike asked, “Why?”

“I’m not doing anything at all,” Brian replied flatly. “It’s time for her to suffer;”

He believed Stella needed to experience hardship to understand the vicissitudes of life.
