Poetry
Blind

The river flows with golden blooms

Forgiving those who chose to fume

It’s not what came and got away

When fortune happens but doesn’t stay

To be alive in the dream we had

To feel the joy that’s far from sad

To be inside a heavenly sink

But look again, it’s not what you think...

I feel the breeze, it feels so good

I hear the music, as I feel I should

It feels so right, won’t you just stay

Forgive, forget, I’ll make a way

It’s coming high, can’t stop me now

The time has come, don’t ask me how

Can’t tell me no, don’t change my mind

I’ll take my chances, let me be blind

But Wait...

Here it goes again...

Take a hint, you’ve seen this end

It’s not what you think, leave while you can

The song that sings is not the man

I open my eyes... as I see red...

It wasn’t what I thought, and now it’s dead.

Do not pursue, do not explain

Forget it now, avoid the pain.
