Chapter 1080

“That's why Mr. Lloyd did this to me!”

"What did he do to you?”

Terror filled Tina's face when she thought back to the night before. “I was asleep. when I felt a sharppain in my stomach. I was bleeding, but even when I called out for help, no one came. Mr. Lloydcame inside the room afterward and stepped on my stomach until I lost my baby... How is this notyour fault?”

Ashlynn held her breath and felt her blood running cold as she pictured the scene. It was so goryand cruel, and she could never imagine how Corentin was capable of such an act.

Tina rubbed her stomach sorrowfully. “I didn’t know whose child this was and thought that I wouldjust give birth to it anyway. After all, it's mine, but I underestimated the cost of having a child, and Isoon ran out of options. I returned to the bar to replace out who the man was because I wanted toprotect my child...”

Unable to bear it any longer, Ashlynn left hastily despite the pain in her ankle.

"Ms. Thompson, slow down. You are injured. Let me help you out...” The maid immediately grabbedher arm.

Ashlynn went outside and realized that she was not at the entrance but in one of the gardens in thehospital.

She sat down on a bench and stared ahead blankly with tears in her eyes while the maid stoodbehind her, not daring to whisper a single word.

Shortly after, the maid turned around and noticed a black Bently rushing through the traffic andstopping by the road. When she spotted the figure stepping out of the car, she immediately bowedher head respectfully.

Corentin walked over and scanned the maid, causing her to anxiously lower her head.

He stood before Ashlynn and reached for her hand. “Let's go home.”

She jolted away from his touch furiously and said, “Go wash your hands! They stink of blood!”Corentin’s hands were clean, and he knew what she meant as he realized she had discovered thetruth about Tina losing her baby.

“You put something in that drink you have served to her every day, didn't you?” Ashlynn questionedsharply.

“She shouldn't have gotten pregnant.” Corentin did not deny it.

She looked up with disbelief. “Even if that's true, you are the one who got her pregnant. She can'tget pregnant on her own. Why are you blaming her for a mistake that both of you made? No matterwhat, the baby is already five months old. It's practically a human being. How could... How couldyou do such a thing? Why did you have to be so cruel? Are you even human, Corentin Lloyd? That'syour son!”

“So you are saying that I'm supposed to accept it simply because she’s pregnant with my son?”Corentin crouched down and grabbed her by the jaw as he narrowed his eyes viciously. “I didn'tneed it! Are you this angry because this reminds you of our dead son, or are you mourning the lossof your chance to freedom? Did you really allow yourself to believe that once she gives birth, youwill manage to get away?” Provoked, she trembled as she felt her heart shattering into pieces like aflower in a rainstorm. Ashlynn stood and shoved Corentin away with all her might. “I'm not livingwith a monster like you! You should just check yourself into an asylum!” With that, she stumbledaway from him, determined to leave Corentin and the hell he was in.

No... I don’t want him! How can I save myself? How can I escape this nightmare?” she screamed inher mind.

Corentin lifted her up from behind.

“Let me go! Don't touch me!” She resisted hysterically, but Corentin still managed to shove her intothe car.

She pressed her body against the window and refused to look at him as though one look wouldsend her over the edge.
