Chapter 1083

“You might have lost this grandchild, but you have great-grandchildren. Ms. Vallois has threechildren!” The butler reminded Cory.

Cory thought of Anne and her triplets. Anne was the child of his eldest and had Nigel not been sodetermined to cut ties with his family, Cory would not have been so distant with his granddaughter.“I haven't visited Nigel's grave since his death. I will go pay him a visit soon!"

“Yes, sir.”

Cory traveled to the graveyard by car and spotted a woman at the top of the stairs as soon as hearrived. The woman held a cane and was moving ahead slowly with a bouquet in her hand; therewas a man holding flowers and offerings in his hands standing behind her as well.

It was Anne, followed by the driver.

Anne had not visited her parent's graves since she lost her memories, but their death had neverceased to torment her.

She stumbled her way toward the graves and the driver informed her that she had reached herparents’ graves.

She crouched down and set the flowers down. “Dad, Mom, I'm here. I'm sorry for not visitingsooner. I've been busy. Have you missed me?”

She touched the graves and noticed that there was no offering or flowers.

“I don't know what I was expecting. Who else would come here apart from me?’ She thought.“Bianca? She can go to hell!’

She started to light candles and set out offerings in front of the graves, before reaching out totouch the engraving.

Her father was buried on the left and her mother on the right. Though she could touch their graves, she could not see them and tears welled in her eyes before she noticed it.

"Dad, Mom, are you together now? I would feel so much better if you were...” She sobbed. “I had adream last night when I was little. I still referred to Mom as my aunt back then and I would alwaysbe so happy whenever I see her. She would buy me food and pretty dresses and take me out toplay... dreamt of Dad, too. The two of you held my hands and led me forward, before disappearing.I have been so depressed since I woke up from that dream...”

So she came to the graveyard without telling her children when Anthony was not home.

Anthony had no rights to be here and she did not want her sorrow to affect her children

“The triplets are doing great, so don't worry. I will take care of them and take them here next time...”Anne lit the candles while crying and accidently burnt her finger. " Ow..."

“Mrs. Marwood.” The driver hurried over and spotted the redden spot on Anne's finger. “Why don't Ido it?”

“I will light the candles on my own parents’ graves. It's fine. I will be more careful.”

The driver stood to the side and turned his head when he heard footsteps approaching.

Anne caught onto the sound before the driver did and asked, “Who is there?”

Before the driver could answer, Cory said, “Anne, it's your grandfather.”

She froze and stood up to look at the direction where the voice came from.

She recognized the voice.

Cory set the flowers and fruits he bought before the graves.
