Chapter 1085

"Good. I feel reassured,” Cory said.

Anthony remained silent. Had Anne not been related to the Lloyds, Anthony would have never beenin contact with this family.

After all, all powerful beings had their own territories and would often remain out of one another'sways.

Once they arrived at the end of the stairs, Cory added, “I'll go back to my hotel and will stay here forabout two to three days. Anne, if you want to return to this family, call me. No matter what youdecide, I won't force you to do anything.” With that said, he returned to his car.

Anthony stared at Anne intently without a word until they were inside the car. “You want to go backto the Lloyd Family?”

"He said he wants me to. I'm still considering...” She said.

The fact that she was considering it meant that she wanted to be a part of the family, or she wouldhave refused Cory’s offer on the spot. With all the members of her family gone, it was only normalfor her to want to return to her roots.

“There's no harm in returning to the Lloyd Family,” he said.

Anne was surprised that he would say so, but agreed that there was no harm to being officiallyincluded in the Lloyd Family.

She had not taken the initiative to approach them at first because she could sense that they werenot entirely welcoming, and she did not want to beg for their acceptance.

“Invite him over to the Royal Mansion for a meal before he goes back to Athetin,” Anthony said.“Let's invite him to my mom's mansion instead!” Anne said.

“Why?

She turned to face outside the window and thought, “Why? Because...I am me, and

you are you. We have never been equals and I've always been living under your control. I'm justwaiting for my chance to escape you, and I only obey you now because I'm blind.”

She desperately wished that she could cut all ties with Anthony at once.

“I'll make the arrangement,” Anthony decided authoritatively.

Anne did not argue, as she knew that nothing she said would matter.

Tension rose inside the car.

Ever since their fight concerning Bianca, Anne had grown colder and would rarely speak to Anthonyunless necessary, she had concluded that if she was to look into Bianca after her vision recovered,Anthony would actively try to stop her, or even attempt to eradicate all evidence that pointedagainst Bianca.

However, Anthony was still the father of her children and no matter what happened, she could notbe completely merciless toward him.

Anne was absorbed in her thoughts, while Anthony stared at her in silence and narrowed his eyesthoughtfully.

The car did not drive toward the Royal Mansion, but had stopped by the street instead.

Thinking that they had arrived, Anne got out of the car but immediately backed away when sheheard all the noises.

Anthony took her hand and whispered, “Don't be afraid. Let's have lunch outside today.”

Anne knew that she would have to remain in the Royal Mansion before her vision returned, asAnthony would never agree to let her go back to her own house.

The streets were noisy, but everything returned to silence when they entered the restaurant. ThoughAnne could not see, she instinctively knew that Anthony had cleared out the restaurant ahead oftime, otherwise there were bound to be other customers.

Anthony led her to the table to take their seats, before starting to order.

Anne turned her face slightly to listen to the sounds of her surroundings, which sounded gentle asthough every noise was dancing along with every pulse of her nerves.

After ordering food, Anthony asked, “How are you feeling?”

This was the first time Anne had eaten outside ever since she lost her vision.
