The man took her to the corner of the pool and held her there

There was an iron pipe at the bottom of the pool that was secured in the concrete wall used forwater flow

He tightly secured Ashlynn’s hand to the iron pipe using a rope

"What are you planning on doing? Corentin won't let you go!” Ashlynn struggled and sensed thather life was in danger

Corentin used one hand to try and untie the rope while he breathed oxygen into her.

The hand holding the rope was like iron, and the veins on the back of his hand bulged, as he usedall his strength to try and untie it.

The rope snapped with a loud bang after three attempts.

Corentin pulled Ashlynn out of the water and held her in his arms.

“Ashlynn?” Corentin's voice was filled with tension.

Ashlynn opened her confused and powerless eyes. Her face was pale, her soft lips had a delicate redtint as she parted them slightly and said, “...Am I not dead?”
