Chapter 1446

Anne walked into the cemetery.

There was not even a little dust on the tombstone, which showed that the staff here were veryattentive.

They respect all those who have passed away.

Anne placed the flowers in front of the tombstone and knelt down.

“Mom and Dad, I'm sorry I haven't been able to see you for so long. Something happened andruined my plans. Don't be angry, I'll come and see you as soon as I return to Luton,” Anne said asshe placed the flowers.

In the cemetery in the morning, the air was fresh because of the surrounding trees, and a slightwind blew, shaking the strands of hair next to her cheeks.

With her heightened vigilance, she froze slightly.

The air was filled with a slight sense of unease as if someone was invading her personal space. This feeling was so familiar... it was engraved in her bones.

Anne stood up slowly, and the scene of turning around seemed to be in slow motion. Her heartbeatwas irregular.

It had a different rhythm when facing danger

Two meters away, Anthony's slender figure stood there, and the sight of his long-lost face suddenlyhit her heart.

However, her throbbing emotions froze when Anne saw Anthony's white hair.

When did Anthony become so old?

She thought to herself, “The girlfriend he has must be very young..."

Anthony stared at her closely. His black eyes were red, his body was trembling slightly, and hisheavy breathing was unsteady.

He could hardly control his emotions with every step he took forward.

His black eyes were even more focused, and he could not look away, as if blinking would make theperson in front of him disappear.

Anthony's approach still made Anne nervous.

He tried to calm down, but his hand, trembling in his pocket, subconsciously clenched it into a fist. Why was it stronger than before? When she saw this man, she was still affected by his sense ofoppression.

She was affected really badly by it...

The palm of his hand was pressed against her face, causing Anne to tremble all over. Before shecould react, she heard Anthony's uncontrollable, extremely hoarse voice, “You really didn't die, Iknew you wouldn't die, how was it possible...”

Anne knew that she had fallen into the sea in a helicopter, and her body was never found.Everyone thought she had drowned.

Just as she was about to speak, she was startled by the tears rolling down Anthony's face.

Then, she was pulled into a hug and fell into a firm embrace.

It almost crushed her against Anthony's body. The hands holding her were trembling.

"Anne, where have you been? I won't let you leave again.” Anthony's voice was hoarse, like that of aseverely wounded beast.

Anne could not handle hearing this and struggled to get out of his embrace.

Just as she was about to leave, his hand was placed on the back of her neck.

In the next second, his thin lips pressed heavily into her mouth, eager to kiss her.

"Oh!" Anne gasped for breath.

Anthony kissed her desperately, panting masculinely as if trying to make up for what he had lost.Anne's body trembled slightly. She did not know whether it was because of memories or somethingelse, but she felt physically and mentally unbearable.

She closed her eyes, steadied herself, and pushed Anthony away.

Anthony was pushed back a step by her, his black eyes still staring at her.

Anne took a deep breath and said, “Mr. Marwood, please have some respect. Between us..."

“The kids miss you.”
