Chapter 1451

“I'll take you there.”

Anne did not know why he was so persistent. It was like if she left him, she would disappear.

In fact, she would not leave without seeing the children.

Could Anthony not have thought about this with his IQ?

What a strange person.

Anne did not say anything more and left the Royal Mansion in Anthony's Rolls Loyce.

She went to Sarah's mansion.

After she got out of the car, Anthony did not follow her and just watched her enter the park.

The moment Anne entered, she found that not only were there no weeds and chaos, but it wasclean and tidy. The flowers and plants in the flower beds did not look withered.

There was no trace of dust everywhere, and there was a refreshing smell in the air.

It was clear that it was cleaned every day.

“Miss?”

Anne turned and saw that the housekeeper was still there.

Who paid her wages when Anne was gone?

“Miss, you haven't been here for a long time.” The housekeeper did not seem to know what hadhappened to Anne. She knew that Anne had not been here for a long time.

“I thought you were gone,” Anne said.

“You didn't tell me to leave, but I'm afraid to leave without your permission,” the housekeeper saidwith a

smile.

Anne realized that it must have been Anthony's order for her to stay. Otherwise, anyone would haveleft. without pay rather than risk going hungry.

“Miss, will you be eating dinner here tonight? I'll go and start preparing,” the housekeeper asked.Anne thought that the children would not be returning early, so she might as well go back aftereating rather than feeling anxious about being alone in the room with Anthony.

She nodded in agreement.

The housekeeper happily went to prepare dinner.

Although it was still early for dinner, the housekeeper was happy to have something to do.

Anne wandered around, thinking about when she lived with her mother.

Everything was different now, and so were the people. She felt lonely at that moment.

Anne's eyes widened as she stood on the second-floor balcony, looking down.

The Rolls Loyce was still there, and Anthony was standing by the car. She wondered if he had justlooked

up and met her gaze.

Even from such a distance, her heart still clenched when she looked down.

Anne thought he had left...

Her pupils flickered for a moment, then she turned and walked back into the room, sitting down onthe

sofa.

Anne wondered why Anthony did not leave. What was he waiting for? Was he hoping to be invitedinside?

She considered this, then went downstairs and approached the door.

Even when standing casually, Anthony exuded an overwhelming aura with his tall, long legs.

“I'll have dinner here, then I'll go back to the Royal Mansion. I won't leave without seeing thechildren.”

Although it seemed unnecessary, she wanted Anthony to know that she did not want to return tothe Royal Mansion.

“Won't you invite me in?” Anthony stared at her intensely with dark eyes.

Of course, she did not want to!

“I'll go back after dinner,” she said before turning and going into the house without saying anythingelse.

Either way, her words were clear: she hoped he would leave.

Anne went to Sarah's room, which was also clean and tidy.

As soon as she relaxed, she lay on her bed and closed her eyes to rest.

She stayed in the room and did not go out until her housekeeper came to call for dinner, then shewent downstairs.

On her way to the dining room, her housekeeper said, “Miss, Mr. Marwood is still outside.”
