“Get some sleep. I will wake you when we arrive at the restaurant.”

He gazed up and spotted a familiar figure on the street through the car window, but he remainedexpressionless.

The road light turned green and Anne followed the crowd as they crossed the street, all the whilekeeping her head low and pretending like she had not noticed anything. Once she arrived at thesubway station, she finally relaxed and realized that her palms were sweaty.

She went home and opened the door...

“Mama!” the triplets shouted as they threw themselves into her arms. All the misery and worry ofthe world left her the moment she saw them. “Voila! Look what I bought!” “It smells so good,Mama!”
