Chapter 285

Anne tensed at the realization that Anthony was going to get involved in the investigation, but shewas certain that Bianca was the one pulling the strings. Anne did not know if Anthony was aware ofthat, but even if he did not, he would surely side with Bianca when he eventually found out.

There was no hope in justice and she simply felt pressured, because she knew that she would haveto swallow her pride and accept it when Anthony decided to cover the truth up for Bianca's sake.Just then, Anthony's phone started vibrating. He glanced at it and answered, "What's wrong?"Noticing his gentle tone, Anne immediately realized that it was Bianca on the phone.

"I'm at the hospital...sure, come over."

“Bianca is coming here?" Anne thought, “Does that mean I get to confront her? Why do I gel thefeeling that this isn't that simple?"

She then heard knocking on the door and the doctor walked inside.

The doctor was bold and had a huge belly with greed written all over his face.

The doctor was slightly intimidated by the atmosphere in the room and felt as though he hadstepped through the gate of hell when he saw the manager kneeling on the floor.

"That's him!" The manager immediately pointed him out. "He's the one who was paid to pretendlike he did the surgery.”

Before the doctor had time to react, Oliver kicked him behind his knees and he fell onto his knees."Ah!" He wailed, but immediately quieted down, not daring to make another sound.

He paled, because he knew exactly what he had done.

"Not speaking?" Oliver said.

"I... did it," the doctor said timidly.

"Someone must have told you to do so. Who was it?" Anne asked.

"A...a woman," the doctor bowed his head and muttered.

"Call her right now and gel her to come here,” Anne demanded.

The door to the office flew open and Michelle stepped inside.” There's no need for that. I will admitthat I did it. There's no shame in that. I'm not like the others, who could only ever do shamelessdeeds in the dark!"

Anne ignored the insult and was shocked that the situation had taken an unexpected turn.

"That's her!" The doctor pointed at Michelle. "She made me do it and paid me. I was forced to do it!"

Anne glared coldly at the doctor. "Are you sure that's her?"

"Yeah, that's her! I can’t be mistaken!" The doctor responded confidently.

“Maybe I was wrong and Bianca has nothing to do with it? Anne thought to herself. “But that's not theimpression Bianca gave me yesterday when she showed up.’

Anne stared at Michelle sharply and asked, "How did you replace out about what happened? Why are you here?By coincidence?"
