Chapter 614

Sarah was exhausted, so she did not chase after Dorothy to beat her up. Instead, she sat on the sofa, panting heavily as she tidied her messy hair.

“I'm sure I lost a lot of hair from that...I wonder if there's any bald spot...” Sarah looked at the end ofher hair pitifully and touched her scalp.

Then, she quickly remembered the reason Dorothy came to cause a scene.

Anthony must have stood Bianca up. Otherwise, Dorothy would not have had such a huge reactionand come to make a fuss.

So, this was Anne's doing?

Did she really listen to her advice?

When Sarah thought of this, she became extremely proud. Later, she went to her room to look forher phone and called Anne, but it also went unanswered. Then, she immediately hung up thephone. If the two of them were really together, it would not be a good time to call Anne.

Sarah was secretly overjoyed, pleased that her precious daughter really had a trick up her sleeve, and even managed to ruin the day when Anthony and Bianca were supposed to get their marriagecertificate.

In the apartment room, it was almost 3 p.m. when Anthony woke up. He looked at Anne lying in hisarms, thinking he was really out of his mind.

How could he lose control to this extent? What exactly made him so obsessed?

However...Anthony did not push the sleeping Anne away, and his obsidian eyes stared at herpeaceful little face.

Anne's face was flushed, but no one knew whether it was from her sleep or she had yet to

recover.

She liked him? He actually accepted and even lost control of his emotions.

Anthony grabbed Anne's chin and lifted it slightly, trying to take a closer look at her.

However, he found the temperature on his fingertips was not quite right. Then, he placed the backof his hand on her face again.

Sure enough, it was too much, and she had a fever.

“Anne?” Anthony called her.

Anne just frowned but did not respond.

Anthony turned her over so that she was lying on her back. Then, he got out of bed and looked forhis phone.

His suit was outside, and the phone was inside the suit pocket.

However, Anthony called Kathryn on the landline instead of grabbing his phone. “She has a fever.Come here."

Kathryn went over as ordered.

Anne was already lying unconscious from high fever on the huge bed in the room.

Kathryn knew what had happened with just a quick glance at Anne's current condition, including thered marks on her slightly exposed neck. She could not help but secretly sigh, pitying the tiny—framed Anne for going through Anthony's torment.

Kathryn measured Anne's temperature and found that it was almost forty degrees. Then, she quicklygave Anne an antipyretic injection, or else she might have brain damage from the high fever.

“It's that high?” Anthony asked, standing at the foot of the bed in his pajamas.

"Yes. It's almost 40 degrees. An adult might suffer brain damage when the fever is this bad.

Kathryn said. Then, seeing Anthony frowning, she quickly added, “But I'll make her temperaturedrop soon.”

After the injection, Kathryn put Anne on an IV drip, hanging it on the IV stand she brought over.“Mr. Marwood, I'll watch over her. I'll leave when her temperature drops,” Kathryn said.
