“I'm already back at my own home.” After Anne said that, there was a long silence on the other endof the call, which gave her so much pressure that she directly changed the topic. “I had just gonedownstairs when I bumped into my dad. Fortunately, he didn't notice which door I came out from.”"Are you afraid?”

"I feel sheepish,” Anne said honestly.

"What did he say to you?”

“He told me that you've gotten engaged but you've gone missing.”

"Whose fault was that?” Anthony accused her over the phone.

“Who was the one who made me come down with a fever?”

“Didn't you like it very much?”

Anne pursed her lips and her expression was very awkward. The topic got weirder the more theyspoke. “There's no need for you to send me food. I have it here. My dad

prepared plenty for me. Go and keep your fiancee accompanied. She needs you to coax her verymuch right now.”

"Are you jealous?” Anthony's voice was slightly hoarse. It sounds like he was in quite a good mood.Anne did not say anything.

Anthony noticed Anne's unusual mood, so after a very brief moment, he asked, “If Bianca and I gota marriage certificate together. What would you do?”

“Nothing...” Anne answered.

Anthony squinted his black eyes and they looked extremely dangerous.

Anne directly hung up the call and tossed the phone on the bed.

Anthony stared at the black screen of the phone so hard that a hole was almost appearing on it.She was getting bolder and bolder. Not only did she threaten him, but she even dared to

hang up his call!

Anne initially thought that only alcohol could help a cowardly person pluck up her courage. She didnot expect that being sick would have such an effect as well.

She did not care if Anthony would be angered by her. She turned over and went to sleep.

There was a knock on Anthony's office door which interrupted him from spacing out.” Come in.”Oliver came in. “Mr. Marwood, Ms. Faye is here.”

Bianca followed behind him and entered the office. She was still glamorously dressed. She had a tallfigure and an outstanding temperament.

Anthony seemed to have forgotten that he had told Bianca he would go look for her after hefinished with the matters on his end. He got up. “Why did you come?”

Bianca looked at him and did her best to control her own emotions. “I kept waiting but I didn't get acall from you and I was afraid I'll disturb you working, so I came to the Archduke Group to have alook. I didn't expect that you'll really be here.”

“What would happen to me? Don't overthink it.” Anthony patted her back.

Bianca's eyes turned slightly red. “As long as you're fine. I couldn't get in touch with you and Iwaited for the whole night last night. You have no idea how I pulled through it. Anthony, don'tfrighten me like that again, alright?”

“This is my fault. I should have given you a call,” said Anthony.

“It's fine. You're busy working, so it's inevitable that you'll overlook something,” Bianca was sayingall the understanding words, “About us getting our marriage certificate....you said to do it anotherday. I've checked and the next closest good date will be the day after tomorrow. What do youthink?”

Anthony did not reply to her.

Bianca was afraid that her intention would be too obvious, so she added, “Do you have any plans onthat day? What I mean is to just get the marriage certificate done with, so we don't have to betroubled by it again.”

“Let's talk about matters related to the marriage certificate later.” Anthony lifted his wrist andlooked at the time. “Shall we have lunch together?”

Bianca's heart instantly sank to the bottom but nodded with difficulty on the surface.

They had lunch at a high-end restaurant. Bianca sensed that Anthony was distracted.

He was practically silent the whole time.

Bianca did not even dare to ask, “Anthony, what have you been doing the past couple of days? Canyou tell me? As your fiancee, I want to share some of your troubles with you."

What if Anthony told her the truth?
