Bianca went to bed early that night while Dorothy stared at the television in her room, dazedlywatching random shows that were playing.

Soon, it was ten at night.

Though Nigel had always been busy with work, he would always go home at night.

That fact alone was Dorothy's only consolation; though their marriage was merely a shell, at leastshe was still the wife of a wealthy man who was envied by many. She did not care what the marriagewas truly like.

Shortly after, she heard the noises of a car engine from downstairs.

She leaped in joy and walked over to the window before spotting Nigel's car. She turned around toNigel's room and prepared his towel before running a hot bath for him.

As soon as the bath was ready, she heard footsteps outside the room and walked out with a smile."Welcome back. Why did you come home so late tonight? I've been waiting for you. The bath isready. You will feel better after taking a bath.”

Nigel glared at her coldly.

Had he not gone to perform the paternity test and discovered the truth, he would have neverlearned how vicious Dorothy truly was. Even as he stood before her, he still could not picture howshe could do something so shameless.

She cheated on him and gave birth to a child that was not his. There was not anything that wasbeneath her.

"What's wrong?" Feeling chills down her spine at his icy glare. "Nigel, are you in a bad mood?"

Her voice was extremely gentle, without a trace of how ruthless she was when arguing with others.Nigel felt nothing but disgust and grabbed the paternity test results from his briefcase beforetossing them at Dorothy's face.

"Ah!" Pained, Dorothy stumbled backward and the documents scattered all over the floor. Sheinstantly snapped out of the initial shock and asked, "W-What are you doing?"

She panicked at his sudden outburst and went to collect the paper on the ground. Her heartskipped a beat when she saw the words “paternity test’, especially when she saw the names Nigeland Bianca along with the results written on the report. She stumbled backward and paled."Dorothy, I didn't know what a great liar you were! I've been fooled by you for over twenty years!"Nigel had never felt more humiliated and furious.

"I... I ... It's not like that, Nigel. Let me explain... didn't do it on purpose. I went out drinking with myfriends and got drunk. Someone grabbed me and raped me when I was leaving alone. I didn't dareto mention it because I don't want you to leave me. I got pregnant after that, and I truly believedthat it was yours. It wasn't until Bianca got really sick all those years back that I realized that shewasn't yours..." she said.

"So you decided to keep lying to me and used her to force me into marrying you again!"

"Nigel, I'm a victim, too. I didn't want this to happen.” She walked up to him and grabbed his arm.Nigel shoved her away roughly. “You disgust me! I will ask the lawyer to send you the divorcepaperwork. Sign it, and we are going to part ways from now on!" He turned to leave.

Panicking, she hurried after him and stopped him from leaving. "No! You can't do this to me! Nigel,we are the perfect family. You have loved Bianca for over twenty years. Even if she wasn't yours byblood, you still care for her, right? She's called you her dad for years. Please don't tear this familyapart. Nigel, I'm begging you!"

"Get away from me if you still have honor left in you!"

"No, Nigel. I didn't mean to lie to you..."

Not wanting to take another look at her, he grabbed her by the shoulder and shoved her asidebefore leaving.

Dorothy bumped into the wall but could not be bothered by the pain and chased after him."Nigel, listen to me. Don't go!" She ran down the stairs and stood before him. "I know that you areangry. I won't bother you. It's fine if you don't want to speak to me as well, but I don't want adivorce. I love you. I can't stand to be apart from you!"

He took a deep breath to suppress his anger. "There's no tomorrow between us. Our marriage endstoday. What you think doesn't matter to me at all! If you don't want everyone to know about whatyou've done, sign as soon as you get the divorce paperwork!"

Dorothy held onto him. "No. I won't divorce you! Over my dead body! Are you divorcing mebecause of Sarah? Are you going to divorce me and go to her? I won't let you!"

Nigel's heart ached with guilt at the mention of Sarah's name. He was the reason why Anne andSarah had lived so miserably.

He pushed her away and went downstairs.

Dorothy shouted behind him sharply, "Nigel, I won't divorce you! Never!"

Nigel ignored her and left.

Bianca was woken up by all the noises. "What are you two arguing about now? I've just gottendischarged from the hospital. Can't you two tone it down a bit?"

Dorothy simply wiped her tears in silence.

Bianca scowled as though her parents argued all the time. Her mother rarely cried.

"Is Dad asking for a divorce again?" She asked. "Over what? Sarah Vallois?"

"Yeah..."

"That woman can't stop seducing men even when she’s overseas. What a wh*re. Don't worry. I'mhere. Dad won't divorce you. He can't,” Bianca said in contempt.

'It's different now. If Bianca learns about her true background, she won't be able to accept it. Shemight even come to hate me," Dorothy thought.

"Just apologize to him tomorrow when he comes back. Don't be so demeaning, and everything willbe fine. Alright, just go to sleep!” Bianca yawned and went back to her room.

Dorothy stood still, unable to go to sleep after what had happened.
