Anne looked at Anthony, doe-eyed and paused, before walking over. "Anthony, my Dad has treatedyou with kindness, right? He took care of you before, right? Can you...can you replace a way to get thebest experts here to help him? That way, he might wake up! You can ask me to do anything youwant! As long as...as long as he wakes up!"

"So you are willing to stay by my side now, then?" He did not waver and simply narrowed his eyescoldly.

"... Yes.." She lowered her gaze.

Anthony could tell her reluctance, but she never truly had any leverage to bargain with him to beginwith. Without another word, he turned to leave.

"Anthony!" Anne hurried after him and grabbed him by the arm in tears. "Please, don't be so cruel. Ifsomething happens to my dad, I will be a fatherless child. He means a lot to me. He...he is also thetriplets’ grandfather. They like him a lot. Just do it for the kids, if not for me.”

He scowled and stared at her with his deep, brooding eyes.

"I shouldn't have said that. I-" Anne pleaded.

Just then, Kathryn happened to be walking over and paused at the scene before her, unsure if sheshould interrupt.

Anthony tilted his head, and Kathryn proceeded to report, "Mr. Marwood, I've contacted experts allaround the world. They are all top-class professionals.”

Stunned, Anne thought to herself, “So Anthony was talking to Kathryn? He told her to look forexperts? I thought..."

"They will all arrive by eight tomorrow morning?” Anthony asked.

"Yes. Considering how much you are paying them, they can take a private jet and still have a lot ofmoney left," Kathryn said, before glancing at Anne and leaving.

Anne snapped out of it and let go of Anthony's arm. Suddenly, she was grabbed by the wrist."Umph!" Her body crushed against his and her chin was lifted until she met his eyes. "... Thank you.”Anthony's eyes trailed down her eyes, nose and lips; her lips quivering and shining like a rip fruit, waiting to be picked

It was not time yet.

"Leave before ten," he said, before letting her go.

"I want to stay here with Dad..." She requested.

"There's no point for you to be here. Go home and rest, then come to the meeting at eighttomorrow morning. I'd like to see what those experts are capable of. No tricks will work on me. It'snot that easy to make money from me.” He narrowed his eyes darkly.

"Can I go?" Anne exclaimed in excitement.

He pinched her chin. "Be a good girl."

"Yes, I will."

He had heard her say the same thing countless times, so he remained expressionless and turned toleave without another word.

Anne watched as he disappeared into the distance and desperately wished that she could go to theRoyal Mansion with him and follow him back to the hospital the next morning.

She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out when she remembered that her motherwas still inside the room.

What would happen to Sarah if she went to the Royal Mansion?

She pushed the door open and went inside. Sarah was still seated in the same spot as she did, staring at Nigel.

"Say, is your dad really not waking up again? I don't believe it.." Sarah muttered blankly, "How can aperfectly healthy person just break all of a sudden?”

Anne knew that Sarah could not process the fact, and neither could she. However, the cruel realitywas that life had always been fragile, and no one would know when accidents happened.
