"He isn't that easily fooled, but it depends on who's fooling him!" Bianca said sarcastically.

"You-" Sarah wanted to curse at her, but Anne interrupted her.

"I won't give you anything.”

Dorothy and Bianca's faces twisted in anger as they itched to tear Anne's face apart. Bianca refusedto give up and since she could only rely on Anthony, she trusted that he would side with her."Anthony, Anne and her mom are clearly trying to take over my inheritance. They probably plottedthis from before. My mom is the wife and Sarah is nothing but a homewrecker. How could the legalwife lose to the homewrecker?" Bianca said.

Anne instinctively glanced at Anthony, as the conflicts between wives and homewreckers had alwaysbeen the source of drama around them, especially because Anthony's own mother died because ofa homewrecker.

Bianca knew Anthony well enough to know what to say to provoke him.

Anthony remained expressionless as the tension raised inside the room to the point where itbecame harder to breath by the second.

Anne lowered her gaze helplessly, fearing that the will before them would ultimately mean nothing..."You should respect your dad's wishes,” Anthony said shortly after.

Stunned, Bianca gaped at him in disbelief. "Anthony, but...something is definitely wrong! I'mobjecting to this because something is wrong! My dad couldn't possibly decide to give everythinghe owns to an outsider!"

"Mr. Shahl here has been clear and I trust that Mr. Faye has his reasons in doing so.” Anthony staredat Anne while consoling Bianca, "I will look into this. If something shady happened, I can still makethem return everything to you.”

Everyone in the room understood that even if Anne inherited Nigel's wealth through his will, if therewas an issue, she would merely be someone who temporarily held onto the inheritance for a periodof time.

Anne and Sarah had not expected Anthony to say such a thing, as both of them thought thatAnthony would force them to sign another contract agreeing to give their inheritance to Dorothyand Bianca.

Robert placed the will before Anne. "If there's no further issue, please sign here.”

Anne held the piece of paper in her hand and glanced through the words, her father's stamp andsignature, her eyes filling with tears. She could not understand why she had to accept something soheavy that she felt as though she was suffocating.

Sarah held onto Anne's hands in consolation, feeling every bit as devastated as her daughter.

"Mr. Shahl, did Dad not tell you anything? Anything at all?" Anne held her tears back and asked.Robert thought about it and said, "Mr. Faye simply sighed and said that after working so hard all hislife, he ended with nothing and his life has been meaningless. He said that he owed no one but youand your mother. I guess that's why he left you with most of his money. As for why he was in a hurryto write his will, I'm guessing that has something to do with the guilt he felt for you. He couldn'tgive you anything, so all he could do was leave you with the company that he had devoted his lifeto."

Tears scrolled down Anne's cheeks and fell onto the paper. "Why would he feel guilty? I didn't needthat..."

Sarah wiped away her tears. "I told him before that I forgive him, that it's fine. Why would he saysuch a thing?"

Dorothy and Bianca stared daggers at them.
