The maid standing at the restaurant's entrance had a spark in her eyes.

She was the one who had been bribed by Bianca.

However, she left Dorothy's number just in case the matter was uncovered and Bianca was exposed.As soon as Dorothy got the news, she informed Bianca.

Bianca was so angry that she smashed the oxtail soup in front of her on the floor. “Anne, that b*tch!I'll kill her! Why do you have to snatch him away from me?”

“Don’t be angry. It's not worth it to piss yourself off over that kind of person!” Dorothy felt sorry forher.

Bianca lay back in her chair. “I called Anthony last night, and he said he was busy. I thought he wasactually busy, but it turns out he was with Anne! Anne must be beside Anthony when I called, right?She must have been laughing at me!”

She was so angry that she smashed all the other cups, plates, and spoons onto the floor, scatteringthem over the place.

“No, no, no! She's just a mistress. How dare she laugh at you?” Dorothy reassured her.

“She is the most shameless woman that I've ever seen!” Bianca's eyes were full of rage. “I won't lether get away with this! Tell the maid to keep an eye out for them, and tell me the exact date andtime they're going out!”

“Don’t worry about that. I'll tell her that.”

Once Bianca had planned everything out in her mind, she was much calmer.

Just like what she wished for in the past, she could definitely ruin their plan again this time!

Anne did not know when Anthony's arrangement would be, but it would not take long.

Then, she should not procrastinate. Instead, she should finish it as soon as possible.

Before it was time for lunch, a call from Dr. Brown came through.

Anne's heart was filled with anticipation when she saw the caller. Could it be that her father hadwoken up?

“Mes. Vallois, can you persuade your mother to return for a rest? I see that she is not in good spirits.It must be because she has not rested well. It would be bad if she overworked herself.”

Anne left her work and hurried to the hospital.

Anne returned to the ward, sat on the stool looking at her dad, and almost cried. “Dad, Mom is soworried about you. Can you please wake up? We can be together when you wake up.”

She held his hand, which had been cold since he'd been lying here.

She pressed that hand to her face as tears fell. “Dad, wake up... We can't live without you... Can youplease wake up? I finally have a father, so please don't leave me..."

Anne lay on the edge of the bed for a long time. She calmed down before she sat up straight.

She did not want to go back to the office, as all she had to do today was sit there, doing nothing.So she called Ashlynn. “Bring the contracts on my desk to the hospital. I'm not going to the officetoday.”

"Okay, I'll be right over.”

Ashlynn knew what was happening. Something had happened to Mr. Faye, so Ms. Vallois had totake on the heavy responsibility of managing the company.

She was a few years younger than her. Most people that age would be having fun. It was definitelyhard for her.

Ashlynn got out of the taxi and ran toward the hospital entrance. She did not notice a car making aturn out next to her.

Ashlynn lost her balance and fell to the ground. The contracts in her hands scattered all over theground.

She was stunned with fear and looked up to see the Bintley right in front of her. The black Bintleywas like a monster that could devour her in the next second.
