Chapter 812

Ashlynn felt no tenderness, only eeriness.

The man in front of her was simply sick to the core!

“As I said, I want you to have my child. Don't do this again, or I'll be upset.” Corentin’s expressionwas gloomy.

His “upset’ was not losing his temper like ordinary people, but he would kill someone.

Ashlynn knew him too well.

“But...Elder Lloyd won't agree to it.” Ashlynn made an excuse. She did not want to have Corentin’schild, nor did she want the child to have such a father.

What would happen when the child grew up? Would he be the same as Corentin?

That was simply terrifying!

"Don’t worry. He'll surely want my child,” Corentin said, “because it's what I want.”

The latter sentence was very strange.

Ashlynn did not dare to refute at all, and her body trembled slightly.

Corentin kissed her soft lips. “Don’t you think we're like a couple who are rekindling theirrelationship? If we have children, it'll be even better.”

Ashlynn closed her eyes in despair, clutching her fingers.

Anne sat in the office watching a video on the laptop.

It was footage from the hospital.

Anne kept watching the surveillance in the ward, and the woman with a mole on her mouth, wanting to look for other clues.

This made her unable to concentrate on her work.

Suddenly, there was a knock on her door.

“Come in."

The one who came in was Cindy Sullivan, a female assistant she interviewed in the past two days.Cindy was gorgeous and quick-witted. She was a secretary for five years and looked smart, but shelacked the comfort Ashlynn had.

However, Cindy was the most capable candidate among all, so Anne decided on her.

“Ms. Vallois, this is the purchase order from the factory. Please take a look and sign it.” Cindy put thedocument down.

Anne almost forgot about this because of Nigel's death.

Anne skimmed through the document and found that the purchase was made from the samecompany, and there seemed to be no problem.

She signed it and said, “I'll go to the factory in the afternoon.”

“Sure, Ms. Vallois.”

Anne took the car to the factory in the suburbs, which was expanded next to the original factory.Mr. Walker was smoking and chatting with the factory manager in the shade. When he saw Anne, hepinched the cigarette and approached flatteringly, “Ms. Vallois, why are you here?”

“I'm here to have a look.” Anne glanced at the man who was talking to Mr. Walker just now.

Mr. Walker introduced, “This is the person responsible for delivering the goods to us, Mr. York.”“Ms. Vallois, it's nice to meet you!" Mr. York stepped forward to shake hands with Anne.“Likewise.” Anne looked at the construction site in the distance; the air was filled with dust. “It'sprogressing quite fast.”

Mr. York withdrew his hand in embarrassment, and he looked annoyed.

Mr. Walker secretly glanced at Mr. York, hinting at him not to get angry. Then, he replied to Anne,“Ms. Vallois, you've entrusted me with such an important task, and I'll definitely live up to yourexpectations.”

“Work hard, and you'll be generously rewarded in the future. Let's go in and have a look.” Annewalked forward.

“Ms. Vallois, be careful. This way, please.” Mr. Walker led the way.

It was Anne's first time here, so she went into the factory to look around. This was all her father'shard work, and she hoped she could do her best to live up to his expectations.

Wherever Mr. Walker went, he would introduce Anne to the people there. After all, not everyoneknew her.
